NYPD officer fired gun during raid on Columbia’s Hamilton Hall that was illegally taken by anti-Israel protesters: DA

Kyle Schnitzer and
An NYPD officer fired his gun while storming Columbia University’s Hamilton Hall Tuesday night during the operation to oust anti-Israel protesters who illegally took over the building.
The cop did not appear to aim the weapon at anyone, and no one was injured, said Douglas Cohen, a spokesperson for Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office.

The shooting is under review by the DA’s Police Accountability Unit, he added.

The cop fired the weapon as more than 100 Emergency Service Unit officers swarmed the Ivy League building April 30 to clear out the roughly 50 protesters who broke inside the night before.

Antisemitism controversy at Columbia University: Key events

  • More than 280 anti-Israel demonstrators were cuffed at Columbia and the City of New York campuses overnight in a “massive” NYPD operation.
  • One hundred and nine people were nabbed at the Ivy League campus after cops responded to Columbia’s request to help oust a destructive mob that had illegally taken over the Hamilton Hall academic building late Tuesday, NYC Mayor Eric Adams and police said.
  • Hizzoner blamed the on-campus chaos on insurgents who have a “history of escalating situations and trying to create chaos” instead of protesting peacefully.
  • Columbia’s embattled president Minouche Shafik, who has faced mounting calls to resign for not cracking down sooner, issued a statement Wednesday saying the on-campus violence had “pushed the university to the brink.”
  • Columbia University president Minouche Shafik was accused of “gross negligence” while testifying before Congress. Shafik refused to say if the phrase “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” is antisemitic.
  • More than 100 Columbia professors signed a letter defending students who support the “military action” by Hamas.
The NYPD blocked journalists from getting too close to the break-up, instead relegating them to a nearby area where they witnessed the suspects be walked out in zip-tie handcuffs and placed into department buses

Hummm.....With the 12 lb trigger pull on the issued Glocks, it was either one of the long arms, someone's been doing some gunsmithing or this involved one of the new purchase (since 2021) Glocks that have normal trigger pulls. However you slice it a big FUBAR....

NEW:@NYCMayor and @NYPDPC have released new information showing that approximately 48% of individuals arrested on Tuesday evening at @Columbia and @CityCollegeNY protests were unaffiliated with the schools.

School breakdowns below.

My question is, can any in those groups, students and non-students, read that pie chart?

"Punishment is meted out swiftly and mercilessly, and with no consideration for free speech principles, any time Confederate flag flyers are posted, any time students hold culturally insensitive themed frat parties, any time colleges uncover student use of the N-word while in high school (or even a word in Mandarin that sounds like the N-word), or even when students or faculty make the familiar conservative argument that affirmative action sets black students up to fail. Rinse and repeat and repeat.

Speech on college campuses has been stultifyingly narrow—and very far from free—for decades. That pro-Hamas students cheer freely for “intifada” doesn’t make it any freer now. The fact that certain students are allowed to call for the death of their Jewish classmates does not herald a new era of free expression. It only underscores that some bigotries enjoy the official sanction of these schools."

Back to the 12 tents at the Quad on the University of Washington campus has now grown to about 40 tents. The protesters have signs up on pallets partially blocking one of the student walking "highways", as we call them to the center of Campus. I got much closer today and took more pictures. I heard a rumor that some people involved in other protests around the country are flying into Seattle because of the city's history of complete failure to deal with this sort of thing.

Remember CHAZ/CHOP in 2020 when they took over part of the Capital Hill neighborhood for 6 weeks? Mayor Durkin was calling it the summer of love, yet there were 2 murders, multiple rapes and muggings in the first couple weeks of it.

I'm getting close to retiring now and don't want to mess that up, so I'll just sit on the sidelines and watch the University, and police screw up again.

as we told yas, a chunk o' these folk are just a cadre o' your typical lunch room losers, lookin for acceptance, a place to belong, and-as always- a way to get laid.
- but that is what makes it so hard to deprogram em; u start messing with their identity and a place where they- Finally-find acceptance, and you pose an existential threat to their egos... which is why those organized groups find damaged goods so dang useful, o' course.

Now I understand why they’re all wearing masks.

❗️ UChicago “protestors” are now demanding:

➡️ HIV tests
➡️ Plan B “morning after” pills
➡️ Vaseline
➡️ “Diva cups”

What the hell is going on at these “encampments”?

Faithful Steed
Penn asked the Pennsylvania Police Department to disband the encampment on its lawn. The police told them to go fly a kite and not call them unless they can prove that the situation is dangerous.
Blue city setting up another CHAZ/CHOP - to virtue signal their support of Hamas.

They (City) wouldn't be doing this if they didn't want the result.

These just aren’t serious people…

@LizKreutzNews

Protester Ren Diaz, who was arrested this morning, just showed back up at @UCLA trying to get his wallet, keys & Apple Watch that he left at the encampment. He says his air tag shows they’re inside this dumpster at Dickson Plaza, but the university is no longer allowing access

Listen To This: College Campus Protestors EXPOSED By Non Profits Money Trail

Some Of The People Protesting On American College Campuses Are Making $7,800 PER 8 Hours Of Protesting

Money Funneled From George Soros & Directly From The Rockefeller Family

“These tent cities that they're building across college campuses are crazy but are really well organized and you know i had a look into this to understand who's behind all of this and who's paying all these people.

I have to be honest what I found was not really shocking but i was surprised by how similar it is to the blm summer riots of 2020. you see these encampments are actually really well organized. the students received the tents from organizers that also supply a bunch of different food like pizzas, rotisserie chicken, coffee.

So I looked into who these organizers actually are and their three prominent groups. Students for Justice in Palestine, there's Within Our Lifetime and then there's Jewish Voices for Peace. And these groups are actually led and organized by another organization called U.S. Campaign for Palestinian Rights.

And just guess how much these fellows are paid. They get $7,800 if they work eight hours a week.

On some kind of Palestinian campaign makes you rethink what the hell you're doing with your life and across these campuses we've seen these fellows speak out at various events Nida Laffey, Craig Morton, Malik Afina. So where the hell does USCPR even get this money to pay these fellows that much money and who funds students for justice in Palestine and these other organizations?

Here's where it really gets interesting:

Almost all of their funding comes from rich elite investors such as George Soros.

Howard Horowitz and members of the Rockefeller family. And isn't that ironic on its own? You see, George Soros' Open Society Foundation, along with Rockefeller's Brother Fund gave $700,000 to these organizations.

And we know now that the Open Society Foundation isn't run by George Soros anymore, it's actually run by his brother Alex Soros and his partner is Huma Abedin with direct ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. As they say, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Now the Open Society Foundation also funneled $20 million into the Tide Foundation. And the Tide Foundation takes this money and disperses it across all of these organizations across the U.S.

They funnel money into Westpac which is an organization that is led by Howard Horowitz. And Westpac is actually the fiscal sponsor for Within Our Lifetime. And guess what? All of these organizations have direct ties to the 2020 Summer Love Riots.

So the question I have to ask is why?

Why now?

Why again in the summer before a presidential election?”

NEW: Ole Miss students chant ‘Lizzo Lizzo Lizzo’ at a pro-Palestine protester before the police had to intervene as she approached the boys.

What a stark contrast from the Ivy League schools.

The protesters eventually had to be evacuated off campus as they were heavily outnumbered by the counter protesters.

Only 50 pro-Palestine protesters showed up. They were flooded by 200 counter-protestors according to the Clarion Ledger.

I’m sure that’s how students felt during the Bolshevik revolution in Russia. Just say no to communism.

GWI has the highest number of Jewish students in the country, ditto this for staff and professors, I’m surprised that these protests are being tolerated there.

These young guys, and the bros who protected the American flags, give me hope for their generation. They just aren't buying what the libs are selling.

Goodness before greatness.
Part of the problem: we haven't been insisting that schools teach the truth about communism and why we've fought wars over it.

Can’t when every teacher who wants to shape minds one purple cause at a time is hiding their true intent of Their Watermelon Cult.

Green on the outside Red on the inside. Purple revolutionaries under cape all the way.

Public school is just another compromised vessel. Paying BIG $$,$$$ per year is no guarantee the same Change Agents are not formatting the 12 year old nor the 21 year old disk.
