Something is in the air here. Several silver alerts for missing senior citizens today as well. Those usually peak at the full moon. So it's coming early this month.

Who knows, maybe we'll have an earthquake and these are the symptoms!!

DUBUQUE, Iowa (WMTV) - An Iowa woman is dead as the result of foul play and a 13-year-old was found dead as well Wednesday night. A person of interest is barricaded in a home in the Town of Albion.
Around 7 p.m., the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an unresponsive person. When they got to the home, they found a woman dead. They say her death is the result of foul play.

The woman had two children, a 5-month-old baby and a teenager, about 13 years old, who were staying with her in the home where she was found. But authorities did not find either of the children there.
Authorities in Iowa say they later learned that the 5-month-old baby was turned over to a random Wisconsin home.

The Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office says that their person of interest was later reported to be involved in a vehicle pursuit in Dane County.

They say that during this chase, the fleeing vehicle was disabled and the people inside tried to run. One of those occupants of the vehicle was the 13-year-old child Dubuque authorities had tried to find.

Later, that 13-year-old was found dead. The Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office says they do not know how the teenager died.

As of 12 a.m. Thursday, the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office is still reporting that the person of interest in their case is barricaded in a Dane County home.

Wednesday night, Dane County Emergency Management is asking people to stay inside, lock their doors and avoid the area around Ramsey Road in the town of Albion. They say an armed suspect is barricaded inside a home there.

Quarry Kennels, a business located on Ramsey Road, has reported that “Quarry kennels is safe and dogs are safe” on their Facebook page.

The Dane County Sheriff’s Office Tactical Response Team and Crisis Negotiators are on scene.

They say a man armed with a rifle and a woman armed with a handgun were last seen in the 1300 block of Washington Road in Albion. They have only confirmed that they believe the man is barricaded in the building.

Highway 51 between CTH W and Washington Rd is still closed as of 11 p.m. Wednesday.

The Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office says they will release more information Thursday morning.

Madison Reddit said an all clear was issued at 3:30 am by Dane Co Sheriff office that went out as a local alert.

More details off the scanner that were posted 8 hrs ago on Reddit by locals. If the 13 yr old minor was abducted, he took her across statelines. Reports he shot himself in the home he invaded. Waiting for a morning presser on what the heck is going on. Folk monitoring scanner say there was a call for Narcan and CPR performed on the dead teen female out in the treeline.

Crisis Negotiators were still trying to talk him out of the basement as of 2:55 am and the all clear was finally issued at 3:30 am per a Redditer

WKOW 1 hr ago

"....At the time of the release, 12:07 a.m., the person of interest was barricaded inside a Dane County home.

This matches up with the time frame of a report from the Dane County Sheriff's Office, that an armed suspect was barricaded inside a home on Ramsey Road in the town of Albion.

At 2:55 a.m., Highway 51 between County W and Washington Road remained closed as the Sheriff's Office Tactical Response Team and Crisis Negotiators were on the scene.

While all of this was playing out, it was discovered the missing 13-year-old was found dead of "unknown causes." The 5-month-old was turned over to a random home in Wisconsin before the pursuit.

More information is expected to be released on Thursday, following the notification of the victim's family...."

Wording is very careful.

Woman found dead 'foul play' suspected but not murdered in her home

Her two children who were *staying* with her? Not the custodial parent? Staying vs living with their mother?
Is she the bio mother? Of both kids?

The kidnapped teen dies from a hot dose needing narcan? While fleeing on foot under drone surveillance?

This whole thing is nuts. Was the baby recovered okay?

MADISON, Wis. -- A woman was arrested Thursday in connection to a shooting in the 1900 block of Northport Dr.
Tamar Brianna Beasley was booked into the Dane County Jail Thursday morning. Beasley is tentatively charged with first-degree intentional homicide.

The Madison Police Department said the man, a victim in his late 30s, was shot outside of an apartment building.
He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later died.

Madison Police will hold a press conference at Noon for further information.

Despite a policy to not name people accused of crimes until they’re formally charged in court, News 3 Now is naming the suspect in this story because of the nature and severity of the alleged crime. Click here to learn more about the station’s naming policy.

I had to download the app to watch the presser.

The baby is ok and unharmed in custody of Dane County. They handed the baby off before the high speed chase began. Its not clear what the relationship was with the infant to the household where the baby got dropped off, whether family or not but there was some sort of connection. Their call to law enforcement initiated the pursuit on the Wisc side.

This is still a very confusing story with differing versions from Dubuque Sheriff and Dane Sheriff.

Suspect who took his own life aged 39 last name Grounkie or Grunkie?

Still not sure if its 3 dead or 4 dead!

37-year-old man, 13-year-old girl were armed individuals who died in Town of Albion

ALBION, Wis. -- Dane County Sheriff Kalvin Barrett said a 37-year-old man and a 13-year-old girl were the armed people who died Wednesday evening following a pursuit and standoff with law enforcement in the Town of Albion.

Barret identified the man as Alexander C. Grunke, of Middleton. He said Grunke is a person of interest in a homicide case in Dubuque County, Iowa.

In a release Thursday, the Dubuque County Sheriff's Office said 32-year-old Tana Poppe was found dead at a home in La Motte, Iowa. Poppe had a 13-year-old and 5-month old child staying at her home who were not there when law enforcement arrived.

According to Barrett, at around 5:30 p.m. the Dane County Sheriff's Office responded to a check-person call in the Town of Dunn. Deputies found that two people had arrived at a home and dropped off a young child. The child is safe and unharmed and was taken into the custody of Dane County.

Barrett said Grunke and the 13-year-old girl left the scene in a vehicle. He said the vehicle did not stop for law enforcement officers, leading to a pursuit that crossed over multiple jurisdictions. He said both Grunke and the girl fired multiple gunshots at officers during the pursuit.

No deputies were hit and no deputies returned fire. The vehicle eventually stopped in the Town of Albion after a tire deflation device was used.

The girl fled the scene and ran into a wooded area. Barret said she was found unresponsive. Life-saving measures were taken but she ultimately died.

Barrett said Grunke fired several rounds into an occupied home along Ramsey Road. He then entered the home and barricaded himself in the basement.

Deputies ran into the home and were able to safely evacuate the family inside while Grunke was in the basement. Attempts to get in contact with Grunke were unsuccessful, and when deputies finally reached him he was dead from an apparent suicide.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Alexander C. Grunke and his twin Nicholas Grunke were busted for attempted graverobbing for sex with a corpse.

Knock yourself out, this was before I moved to Wisc. Did not hear about this case till now. They read an obit of a woman that died at Cassville and attempted to dig up her grave for sex.

Re: a corpse is unable to give consent thus 3rd degree sexual assault.

A pair of twin goblins

Alexander C Grunke has other brushes with the law in Dane County in 2018.

"...Madison police said 32-year-old Alexander C. Grunke walked into his former employer, Heller Recycling on Marsh Road, at about 11 a.m. According to the report, Grunke grabbed a firearm from inside the office and chambered a round. He then left in a vehicle.
Police said officers believed Grunke may have been en route to harm an ex-girlfriend and made suicide-by-cop statements in the past. At about 11:45 a.m., Grunke was observed running with a firearm in the area of Walmart on Watts Road, about 13 miles west of Heller Recycling.
Officers shut down the Beltline while attempting to find Grunke. He was arrested behind Walmart.

And that's enough internet for the day for me. Good Grief. Vileness.
