CRIME MA: Mom accused of sending her husband on an errand so she could kill her 3 kids before paralyzing herself by jumping out a window, appears in court

Additional drug usage that came up was ALCOHOL. That is one dangerous little drug in and of itself.

Lindsay said she had about 5 drinks a week. I call BS on that one too. ONLY because people will generally under report that because it’s a legal drug and they generally hide the extent of the drinking from others.

This would be especially true (the five drinks) IF she was worried about the kids being taken or losing her license in the future for some error she may unintentionally make.

Oh, and I think Patrick is a little weasel and I don’t trust him any farther than I can throw my car. His testimony was very suspect also. He ALMOST defends Lindsey in it at times.

And he began seeing (allegedly) the woman he later married BEFORE all this began. So, he’s just as guilty, IMHO for leaving them all alone in the house that night. But see Patrick isn’t on trial.

I have watched hours of the testimony and all who defend her should watch the expert testimony on Day 18. You have to scroll through it on YouTube to get past all the breaks and crap, but it’s quite interesting.

They also explained (first witness) WHAT the FIVE types of people are who kill their children AND GETTING BACK AT A SPOUSE IS one of them.

So don’t look at me and say that the mom who killed her kids in front of her husband is different than Clancy. In fact, if Lindsey had caught “Patriko” stepping out on her, she may have had the very same reason. I don’t find this a far fetched thing because of the “nurse line” - they all talk amongst each other. Perhaps she had one who was only “friend shaped” who spilled the beans to her just to help her, ya know.

However, there was another type who plans suicide and believes that they must also kill the children because the children would be better dead than without them. This is where I think Lindsey may better be categorized amongst the psychobabble.

This is where radical movements almost always end. Once a movement becomes dominated by high neuroticism, moral panic, and ideological purity, internal consistency stops mattering. Every new claim only has to satisfy the emotional logic of the movement in that particular moment.

So eventually you arrive at positions that directly contradict the principles the movement supposedly began with.

Women spent generations arguing that female biology does not make us irrational, incompetent, or incapable of agency (which I agree with). Now parts of modern feminism have somehow circled back to arguing that female hormones and a purported lack of support can make women so psychologically unstable that even murder can be reframed as something for which ordinary expectations of agency and responsibility no longer apply.

You cannot simultaneously demand that women be treated as fully autonomous adults while selectively invoking biology as an exemption from accountability whenever it becomes ****ing convenient.

Radical movements eventually start consuming their own premises because ideological escalation matters more than coherence. The destination is rarely some sophisticated new philosophy. It is usually an absurd version of the very thing they originally claimed to oppose.

And this is not unique to feminism. The manosphere has developed many of the same pathologies in reverse and often functions as its male counterpart. Both become organized around victim identity and black and white thinking, eventually sacrificing their own stated principles when ideological in group loyalty becomes more important than intellectual consistency. That pattern is a hallmark of radicalism, regardless of the label attached to it.

I can find no better proof that Satan is real and our society really shares his values when the rubber meets the road than all these women coming to the defense of a 3 time child murderer. I don't give a shit what drugs she was on or what her hormones were doing it's a gleeful tribalistic support of the most indefensible crime imaginable.

The combination of many drugs can overwhelm the brain and cause personality changes. An investigation into the drug prescriptions and what the doctors knew or didn't know would be in order. If the mother had no psychopathic behavior or tendencies before using the drugs, then I can't blame her for the hell her mind went through.

See...I can be sympathetic to the sheer horror she apparently suffered, and still believe she needs to spend the rest of her life paying for her actions.

I absolutely believe she should be found to be criminally insane...not *legally* responsible for her horrific actions, but definitely morally responsible. And that demands restitution to society, as well as ensuring she can never hurt another defenseless child.

As I've said previously, very possibly the worst punishment imaginable would be to restore her sanity through medication and therapy... because her own conscience and regrets will torment her beyond anything we could come up with.

It would be very interesting to know how she is framing the whole tragedy... the fact she's still on suicide watch seems to indicate her conscience is working and she doesn't believe she deserves to live because of her actions.

Yes, but is she on suicide watch currently? She should be, but I have not seen/heard that.

I have briefly entertained whether or not she will take the stand. That most surely would be the one that could sway the jury to her side if her attorney thinks he may lose the case, if she can keep it together enough to even do that.

If she DOES go on the stand, I don’t think she’ll make it very far into the story. That will depend on how well tranquilized out she can be and still sound slightly cohesive and how many hours of time the attorney has put into coaching her. I can’t imagine it really, but, frankly, unless a miracle happens, I think her attorney will lose this case. He’s fighting, but I just don’t think it’s going to be enough.

Also, interestingly enough, this is not the first time this judge has heard a feticide case. I can’t remember what the name of the other was, but it was another hot mess.

A mother murders her three children… and people start making excuses.

This video nails the real issue:

You spent years calling babies in the womb “clumps of cells.

”Now act surprised when that same mindset starts applying to kids who are already born.

You can’t spend decades treating the most vulnerable humans as disposable and then pretend to be shocked when some people stop seeing them as fully human.

We knew this would happen.

We knew it.

So, do you feel she's not guilty of murder?

No argument with that. But I would not treat the two the same as far as culpability.
True. Our law doesn't really have a good category for this. If it were up to me she would be institutionalized until she is fully out of psychotic urges. After her time in the institution I think she would benefit from being released to a convent/monastery to live her life out in healing and prayer as a nun. It's not up to me though.

I am asking you if you believe she has the same culpability as a man who murders for hire,
Or do you distinguish between a mentally ill woman in psychosis killing vs the man who murders for hire.
Killing someone, is killing someone. They're dead. It holds the same value. No excuses, or different levels of manslaughter. No emotional defenses.

You said "no emotional defenses" and asked me about my feelings. Make up your mind boy.

Homicide? Absolutely. Guilty without doubt.
Murder? Let's look at what murder is... and how about YOU for once keeping your emotions in check.

Murder is legally defined as the unlawful killing of another human being with malice aforethought. This "malice" encompasses several mental states, including the intent to kill, the intent to inflict grievous bodily harm, reckless indifference to human life (often called a "depraved heart"), or the commission of a death during a dangerous felony (felony murder).

Key distinctions include:

  • Homicide vs. Murder: Homicide is the broader term for any killing of one person by another, which can be lawful (e.g., self-defense) or unlawful. Murder is a specific, unlawful category of homicide.
  • Degrees: Many jurisdictions classify murder into degrees. First-degree murder typically involves premeditation or occurs during specific serious felonies, while second-degree murder involves intentional killing without premeditation or extreme recklessness.
  • Federal Definition: Under U.S. federal law (18 U.S.C. § 1111), murder is the unlawful killing with malice, divided into first degree (punishable by death or life imprisonment) and second degree.
In contrast, manslaughter involves unlawful killing without malice aforethought, such as voluntary manslaughter (heat of passion) or involuntary manslaughter (criminal negligence).
If she was prescribed a slew of dangerous and interacting psychotropic drugs, there is a large responsibility on the doctors/ pharmacists. If she was not in her right mind, it could be a result of the drugs.

Let's look at the principle. You go to a bar or restaurant and someone spikes your drink with PCP or fentanyl. You wake up the next day in a police cell for murder that you cannot even begin to recall. Was it your fault?

She might not be liable in the same way as a mafia killer, but she shouldn't get to skate either. Lifetime treatment with someone else having permanent guardianship since she has shown the capability to not be able to control herself in situations that affect others lives, especiallythose who are vulnerable. Minimum period of treatment within a facility (at least as long as a jail sentence). No good behavior or other ways to get out.

If and when she is released from a full security location, she is still under guardianship and must be monitored at all times. She is to be forbidden any contact with children. If she gets pregnant, she loses custody immediately. She has already proven that situation is something she cannot handle. And at the slightest sign of relapse or violation, she must return to a full security facility.

She killed her own children. In the "old days" women who did that either got killed, sent to an asylum, or imprisoned by their own families. They were not given the chance to do it again. They were not let free. They were that old aunt that lived with Grandma or Grandpa and were always supervised. Or sent to the church.

And the people who left her children in her custody without supervision also need punishment. They were warned by her, multiple times, and yet still left the children with her unsupervised. The sheer stupidity of that still astounds me.

Surely it was a horrible thing she did. Nobody doubts that. But did she make bad decisions about medical care? We don't know. As one posted above, her life will ALWAYS be haunted by this if she has a conscience and a soul. There are psychopaths that need to be helped onward from this world. And you are right, if she is a risk to society, she must be isolated or carefully monitored. I prefer to let the knowledge catch up with our emotions before condemning her.

I have known several women who suffered from severe postpartum mental illness. It took months for them to return to normal. During that time, they were unable to function caring for their family. One lady was hospitalized for at least couple months. It is a real serious disease.

Therefore, I make no judgment as to whether she was mentally ill or killed her children for some other reason because I just do not have the information to make a judgment. Either way it is a huge tragedy.

In the early 1990s teachers noticed that more and more students were being put on meds for "behavioral disorders". 1997/98 the mass school shootings started. We all hoped that the doctors would pull back on prescribing these meds. No such luck.

So we now have about three generations of people who have experienced these meds as a normal part of life. While most people probably aren't on them, you can be sure that everyone knows more than one person on them.

You can say that as a nurse, Lyndsey Clancy should have known better than to mix up all of those meds. I actually started out wondering about that. But the practice has been normalized to such a large extent and she was in a great degree of stress.

Lyndsey should definitely be institionalized for the remainder of her life. But those idiots who are mimicking the strangulation of children have something wrong with them too.

Dave Collum appears on several financial podcasts and professionally is a biochemistry professor at Cornell. His wife was also on a cocktail of SSRIs for decades. They were trying to withdraw her from them and succeeded in all but one. They were able to bring down the dose.

What I'm getting at is that this practice of over prescribing these combinations of SSRIs has become so normalized that even a biochemistry professor and researcher didn't question it for decades. Dave has spoken about the Lyndsey Clancy case and thinks that the doctors who prescribed all the SSRIs are equally guilty of the deaths of these children.

Principle?

How about this principle:"Thou shall not murder"

Some of the womenfolk on TB2K--including you'girl'--are offering excuses and misplaced empathy for this mother who murdered her three kids...placing the blame on doctors and psych meds instead of the monster who strangled them. You can equivocate all you want about the meaning of the word murder. But your support for her is both indefensible and disgusting.

Some of you come across as supporting the kind of imbecility expressed by this doctor:

Thank God there are still sane women like this who soundly reject suicidal empathy:

Ooo. The second person actually makes some sense.

I still believe that she planned this for at least 6 months to a year, or rather contemplated it. You will never change my mind on this. She just had way too much to do in so little time. She had to get right on it as soon as Patrick left the house. And that voice she heard? She stated that she heard it one time, but had never heard it before and has not heard it since. She didn’t have auditory hallucinations anymore than a pig munching acorns in the forest.

Some expert witness (with FBI experience, as well with a stint with postpartum mothers in 1990) said that she was, in his opinion, quite capable of having planning this.

One more witness and it supposedly goes to the jury. I’m sure there will be an entire day spent by her attorney asking questions until he’s red in the face along with a zillion side bars. I highly doubt that it makes it to jury tomorrow. Oh well. Just another buck in everyone’s pocket. (Except those poor jurors.) Tomorrow will make 21 days of it. I can’t even imagine. Whatever verdict comes down, will probably be short and sweet. Poor little Lindsey. What a sweet child she is. /sarcasm

No matter the reason for the crime..criminal or psychological..if she killed those children she has proven herself a danger to society and needs to be locked away forever either in a mental hospital or prison. I can feel sorry for her depression and not excuse her actions.

You may want to ask yourself why you "feel sorry" in any way for this psycho baby killer.
I reserve my empathy and compassion and only feel sorry for the three innocent children this mother from hell murdered in cold blood.

Dr Phil says it best at the end, these women need to be removed and not have access to their children...

Content warning: This is a very upsetting video to watch, so proceed with caution.

The footage is no longer rare. Profoundly ill women are putting their children’s harm on camera as a public offering to Lindsay Clancy, and it has become common enough that the old habit of judging women one at a time has started to look like a luxury.

Men have grown indiscriminate. Their recent contempt for conservative women is ugly, but it is not mysterious. They keep seeing mothers turn a child’s suffering into content, and they have stopped trying to separate a rational question from a psychotic performance staged for clicks.

I understand now. Carry on, gentlemen.

*I love @JillianMichaels, so give her a follow if you don't already.
