Whoa, ok that’s a new one to me. A biological female, calling ‘zirself‘ a female,…is trans? Still looks awful perv.

I’m just going to go out and and chop up the compost pile….
Yeah, really?!! WTF?! Is she PRETENDING to be a trans female? Transitioning to male? Inventing her own Me Potatohead gender? Ah, hell... we used to give mentally ill people help; we didn't indulge their fantasies and put them in positions where they can influence other people!

I can't imagine the advice you'd get from her looking for Bible based pastoral counseling for marriage or family problems!

Missouri Synod is very conservative, and Wisconsin is even moreso. No women clergy, much less LGBTQ. And even prohibit women in some secular Church leadership positions. We need to do something to make the ELCA stop using the Lutheran name and making us all look bad.

Yes! My thoughts exactly!

Not all of us, dear. I attended LCMS as a kid. The only thing they've changed in the 55 years since is replacing hymnals with PowerPoint slides.
When I was a kid, (Missouri Synod), women couldn't vote or serve on the church council or read scripture from the pulpit. That changed..probably in the 70's(?). (Wisconsin Synod, probably not yet.) Haha! We also had a two-holer out back the church, no inside bathroom or running water or plumbing in the kitchen at the time, but we did just fine and held great church suppers anyway.

I can't abide women ministers, (and for sure whatever that thing in the OP claims to be) and their policy on that has never changed..nor has their pro-life stand or their refusal to serve communion to people not confirmed in LCMS.

Peeved me when they changed hymnals. ;) I still have my old one from my confirmation, and also now, my dad's.

Well, these so called Lutherans apparently, based on the picture shown, allowed this "person" to engage in Holy Communion. I am Roman Catholic so I am unsure what the Lutheran position is on Tansubitation? This is the Holy Sacrement where the wine turns into Christ's blood, and the wafer turns into his flesh for Christians to partake in.

What I will say, based on scripture, is every "christian" involved in this PUBLIC RELATIONS STUNT has committed BLASPHEMY and Jesus will hold them accountable. nuff said

Saved, to glorify God.

The REASON we do not serve communion to anyone that comes to the communion rail is Scriptural. A matter of LOVE our pastors are Shepherds, responsible men, aware from Scripture that those taking communion ignorantly, take it to their own DAMNATION.

So they dont want to be responsible for THAT, so they ask that anyone seeking communion seek the pastor before the service so that he can be sure they rightly discern what it is all about,

So many are used to any and every one welcome to attend WORSHIP services on Sunday but that is not how the Early Church worked. You FIRST became a Christian, through catechism, before you were ALLOWED to worship with the body of Christ, His church.

If you read Judges and Samuel, you will see both sons of Eli, and both sons of Samuel, all of them Priests, were killed by God for corruption and contempt of their duties in serving God.

Is this the same branch of Lutherans that imported all the Somali's into Minneapolis/St Paul?

Regardless, any institution of our culture is subject to being flipped by the left. And in this case these fools most likely welcome these misfits as the work of God.

I wonder how the Missouri synod will react to this. Will it withdraw from the Lutheran church? It should.

There is no overarching "Lutheran Church" organization per se. There are, however, many "flavors" or denominations of Lutheranism. A good analogy is Judaism. Nowhere is a phone answered, "Judaism Central, Golda speaking." But the Jewish faith comprises many iterations--Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, etc., each with it own theological traditions and customs.

Although the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America is the largest Lutheran denomination in North America, it has no organizational relationship with the confessional orthodox Lutheran denominations (e.g., the Missouri and Wisconsin synods).
