Story Looking for a story

This story is from the old 486 website. I may have the name wrong. It is the first site I found paw fiction on. I think Jerry was one of the bigger writers there. Anyway, the story I am looking for takes place in Washington state. Is about a family and his neighbor fight off the mutant biker zombies after the crash and then somehow the are talking to the potus on the shortwave and he lets them know about hidden, secret major bunker under a barn. Nuke powered and everything lots of supplies and weapons, fuel, etc. Then, potus tells about other similar sites. Thanks
 
That's gotta be an old one all right. Sounds like a Deathlands series. Hopefully someone will be able to help you. There are people here with some great memories.
 
Thanks, do you know if that is the name of the old site? I've tried looking it up on the wayback site, but am not sure of the old site name.

Thanks, pretty sure it was not that one. Do you know were Jerry D writes now? I believe he would know the name of the site and then I could maybe look it up. Thanks
 
Years back I used to read a lot of PAW fiction but I don't remember reading the one you asked about so I can't help you.
 
If you are looking for a Jerry Young story, I have a mem stick of his stories that he sold a number of years back and I have no memory of this kind of story on the stick.
 
There is another website that has a large area of his stories. I don't remember anything along that line there, nor do I otherwise recognize the plot.

I remember the story but not where I read it. The bunker had an elevator to it that used the electrical switch box that you had to flip the switches to use it.
 
I don’t think Jerry wrote the story. I will still try and contact him.
You hit it on the head sargent major! That is the story.
But that old site was got me into paw fiction and prepping except for the boating accident. Thanks
