Does anyone have a good one they can point me to, don't think I want a metal frame. I am very tiny and therefore cannot carry a big pack nor alot, and want more than a fanny pack.

Here are several, depending on your need:

Or you might want to consider one of JCRefuge's Scramkits coming up for a group buy:

This is mine:

but I'm sure that's a bit more that you're looking for. Try window shopping at a local camping goods or military surplus store to get a "good fit".

Good luck.

Look at the Chimera or Valkyrie...My Chimera is SUPERB. One of my co-workers is a rather small gal and she LOVED it. But she found a DANA (now owned by Marmot) that she LOVED MORE and bought it.... (Melanie does Rain forest work with birds as well as Outdoor Ed, and has a spinal disc "issue" (3 herniated discs) and loved both my Chimnera and the Dana she bought)...

Look up Dana Designs for their women's packs.

Oh, did I mention that these are NOT going to be inexpensive??? BUT you will NEVER carry a more comfy pack. My Chimera is SOOOOOO much more comfy than my old Kelty....

I have a great little daypack from LL Bean. No frame, small light weight padded straps and I can get a lot of stuff in it.

hannah....for food take a look at Mountain House Pro Paks. I just loaded my Kelty pack with 7 days worth and I can't believe how light it is!
