GASLIGHTING: Joy Reid, Guest Insist Parents at School Board Meetings Are QAnon People

Curtis Houck
July 8th, 2021 12:26 AM

In a segment that further illustrated her deep-seated racism and a juvenile yet repugnant disgust for any human who disagrees with her, MSNBC’s ReidOut host Joy Reid used Wednesday’s show to insist that concerned parents and citizens who’ve spoken out at school board meetings over anti-racist and critical race theory curriculums were part of an “insidious underbelly of the GQP culture war” led by white people who were “steeped in...white nationalism” and QAnon.

With help from bad-faith actor and NBC reporter Ben Collins (who sees QAnon around seemingly every corner), Reid spent another evening implying conservatives and Republicans were enemies of the people and white people crippled in fear that hoards of Black people will steal and inflict pain upon their children.

https://cdn.mrctv.org/videos/55671/55671-480p.mp4 1:53 min

Reid began by warning of an expansion in “the insidious underbelly of the GQP culture war” serving as a contrast to Democrats being focused on working for the American people and winning the midterms. However, she said they risk “running headlong into a culture woodchipper because Republicans aren't running an election.”

Without a hint of irony, Reid said the right has “wag[ed] an all-out war for power that increasingly is based on and steeped in the Trump cult and even white nationalism” in hopes white voters will shriek at the idea of “race-conscious education.”

Portraying yet another movement as astroturf, Reid gaslit viewers by saying “[r]adicalized parent activists across the country are targeting school boards with behind the scenes help from conservative groups” and conservative media (click “expand”):

So, the goal now is to terrify those white voters into voting for a party that is offering nothing on policy. Zip, zero, nothing. By zeroing in on the amygdala of white suburbanites and scaring the hell out of them that Black Americans are conspiring to pollute their precious childrens’ minds with dangerous knowledge and then turn them into woke future Democrats.

And in the wake of the disgraced, twice-impeached President’s defeat, that hysteria over the perceived encroachment of race-conscious education is being exploited by another insidious force. Followers of QAnon, who are now using the battle cry to similarly target school boards, with many who have espoused QAnon theories now melding their own conspiracies with the lies about critical race theory.
Collins laid out what he saw as a coordinated conspiracy, arguing that outrage at school boards began with parents opposing masks mandates and — gasp — wanting their children back in schools for in-person instruction (and away from the disastrous distancing learning). With COVID waning, Collins said that race-based curriculum simply became their new focus.

Collins then brought up how the outlandish and dangerous QAnon movement has supposedly been running the show with right-of-center school board candidates doing so because of Mike Flynn and QAnon message boards. This led Reid to argue it reminds her of those who fought Reconstruction (click “expand”):
COLLINS: And what we’ve seen is QAnon followers going to these meetings, seeing this big public spectacle. Some of these things are on YouTube, so they can go up there and give these big speeches about the kabal or something and they can say, “hey, we need to rile people up. We need to get people ready to take over these school boards over the next year.” They’ll post that, by the way, on their Instagram later on. But that’s the point. They are using Michael Flynn's rally crying to, you know, take over the school boards. Run for school board. Run for public office, he said. He said we need to get involved in the education of our children. And right now, on the top of the biggest QAnon message board, that's what you'll see. You'll see the quote from Mike Flynn saying run for school board.
REID: Yeah. And I mean, the thing is the sort of through line here is to say that, essentially, white America's children are being polluted, their minds, their bodies by the woke mob, by the left, by the multicultural party and that that’s a threat. It sounds very much like the Reconstruction era when, like, the black and tan Republicans were a threat because they were this multi-racial coalition that was polluting the minds of white women and children. It's very 1860s.
If that wasn’t enough, Collins and Reid suggested that QAnon had infiltrated evangelical Christianity, so not only should school boards be on the lookout for those parents who dare to inquire about what their kids were learning, but also those devilish Christians!

Reid wouldn’t let go of her semantics that CRT wasn’t being taught in schools but race-based education was, telling Kentucky senatorial candidate Charles Booker (D) that incumbent Senator Rand Paul (R) and the Republican Party were so racist that they want restaurants to be able to ban Black people.

It’s stating the obvious, but Reid did little to help Booker in Kentucky with her assertions that those speaking out at school board meetings believe “white children's minds and bodies are being attacked by black people” who want to feed them to “Satan-worshipping pedophiles” (click “expand”):
The thing is, when — when Rachel Maddow interviewed him in 2010, he couldn't say restaurants should not be able to discriminate against people because they are black. He tried to do all these analogies — “well, what if you say you don’t want guns in your restaurant?” As if somebody coming in with a gun who could kill people is the same as a black person coming in to have a pie, right? So — but — so, that's Rand Paul's strategy.

To me it feels very much like we're in the Reconstruction era again, right? The idea is that Republicans are saying that white children's minds and bodies are being attacked by black people that want to steal their history and make them ashamed of being white and they want to, you know, make them vulnerable to this kabal of Satan-worshipping pedophiles. It’s very Reconstruction Era. How the hell do you beat someone in a state that has only seven percent African-Americans. You’re going to have to win white voters in order to win, Charles.

How do you do this when they are being hit with this every day?
Following a Howard Beale-like charade mocking her critics as white people deathly afraid of people of color, Reid fired off another galaxy-brain take by claiming that, during a segment about the assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moïse, Republicans want to ban the teaching of both Haitian history and the Louisiana Purchase.

Put simply, this rhetoric smearing parents who don't want their kids to hurt themselves because they'll wish they were never born is going to get someone hurt. With Collins and Reid hurling such invective against parents who say the rhetoric from teachers and their union isn’t right, it's only a matter of time.

Reid’s insistence that those who simply want a voice in their children's education are QAnon supporters was made possible thanks to the enthusiastic endorsement of advertisers such as Crown Royal, HughesNet, Kayak, Liberty Mutual, and Prevagen. WARNING: A Future US Digital Currency Might Give the FED the Power to Approve Your Mortgage Based on Factors Other than Credit Worthiness

The US and almost all countries are moving towards the implementation of digital currencies. With this comes concerns related to privacy and government and political overreach and discrimination.

The below discussion with George Gammon addresses concerns about the government dictating who can get loans and at what rates.

Just imagine the next time you go to get a mortgage for your home. You wouldn’t go down to your local Wells Fargo branch, you would go directly to Jerome Powell. Right, and they would determine whether or not you get that loan and what the interest rate would be and therefore they can control the amount of dollars in the system.

Another reason this is so important for people to understand is right now the amount of lending in the system is constrained by the amount of individuals or entities in the system that can actually pay back the loans. Right, commercial banks are constrained by a profit and loss.

The FED is not contained by a profit and loss. So they wouldn’t have to use a credit score, as an example, to determine who gets a loan and who doesn’t get a loan and at what interest rate. They could use a social score like we’re kind of seeing in China.
Similar actions could take place with groups being discriminated against.

Imagine if a governor in a state approves a bill that he or she believes will help their state but the bill conflicts with what the federal government wants. Those controlling currency could penalize members of that state in reaction to the bill being passed.

This is an excellent video discussing the possibilities and concerns with a future with digital currencies.

Return the issuance of U.S. currency to the Treasury, where the Founding Father's intended that power to lie - answerable to We, The People® via a FUNCTIONING Congress practicing a public and REGULAR oversight/auditing process which utilizes a real-time auditable/reportable blockchain flavored solution of one kind or another.

COMPLETELY REMOVE the Federal Reserve/central banking fiat-debt system from this equation. Cut them off at the knees, and hunt down and capture the main perps/members for public trials.

THIS IS NOT RANDOM! President Trump’s Cases Against Big Tech Assigned to Two OBAMA Judges and One HW BUSH Judge

When will the Republicans wake up and see that the Democrat Party is not working for the US’s best interest? They work for POWER and will do anything to get it and keep it.

We saw in nearly every big state lawsuit after the election that Obama judges were being assigned to the cases. They had multiple documents ready before they even heard the cases which ruled against President Trump and the American people every time.

In February 2017 we reported on Obama and Carter judges making insane rulings against President Trump.
1625862395082.png

We saw Obama judges obstructing justice with unconstitutional and bizarre ruling to halt policies President Trump wanted in place to protect America.

1625862441546.png

As recent as May an Obama judge attempted to stop the pardon of Steve Bannon.

1625862488165.png

Now, in some of the most important cases in US history to decide the freedom of speech, we get more Obama judges.

In President Trump’s case against Twitter, assigned is Obama Judge Robert Nichols Scola Jr. (read his confirmation hearing here)
In President Trump’s case against Facebook, another Obama Judge – Kathleen M. Williams.
In President Trump’s case against YouTube, a George H. Bush judge – Kevin Michael Moore.

Dozens of School Districts are Teaching Book Claiming ‘Whiteness’ is the Devil and That White Children Sell Their Soul for “Stolen Land and Stolen Riches”

By Guest Author Julian Conradson

Investigative Journalist and avid CRT opponent Chris Rufo has identified over 30 school districts across 15 different states that are teaching the radical ‘anti-whiteness’ book, “Not My Idea” by Anastasia Higginbotham.

Rufo notes that the book, meant for children as young as kindergarteners, ‘traffics in the noxious principles of race essentialism, collective guilt, and anti-whiteness.’
One part includes images portraying whiteness as the devil, offering the reader a contract that ‘bids them to whiteness’ in exchange for stolen land and the ability to ‘mess endlessly’ with the lives of people of color.

The book teaches children to primarily identify by their skin color while it paints white children as evil, saying: “Whiteness is a bad deal. It always was.”

Another page says, “Racism is a white person’s problem and we are all caught up in it.”

Pic-2-JC-Story-July-9-913x479.jpg

“Not My Idea” is a clear example of how CRT brands white children as oppressors that should feel shame for the color of their skin.

In June, A law firm associated with Ruffo filed a law suit in Illinois against a school district for instructing teachers to read the book, among others, and use it in their curriculum.

Parents across the country have been pushing back against this racist and anti-American indoctrination by speaking up against the teachers and school boards.

Despite their opposition, the largest teachers union in the country approved a plan last week to promote CRT across all 50 states and their 14,000 districts.

Some states, like Oklahoma and Florida have stepped up and banned CRT from schools, but we need more to do the same.

Update: San Francisco Gay Man’s Choir Frantically Tries to Pull Down Video Promising to Convert Your Children; Trying to “Control the Narrative”

On Thursday, TGP reported on a video where the San Francisco Gay Man’s Choir promised to convert your children quietly and subtly. Their ‘joke’ fell completely flat because it was an eerie reminder of the constant push my media and education to sexualize and trans the kids.

The video had received 88 likes and over 5,000 dislikes before it was made private, according to The Post Millennial.

After massive blowback, the group is now “working around the clock” to take “control of the narrative.” They issued a statement on Thursday night, putting blame on far-right conservative media for taking it up as their “new cause.”

They also cried victim, claiming that the lyrics were taken out of context to support the “intolerant and hateful needs” of conservatives.
1625863348972.png
They seemed to double down on their “joke” that they are coming for your children by saying that It’s their “turn” to do the indoctrinating.

“After decades of children being indoctrinated and taught intolerance for anyone who is ‘other,’ from using the Bible as a weapon to reparative therapy, it’s our turn.”

Similar to drag queen story hour and Nickelodeon pushing LGBTQ radicalism, this song reflects other recent efforts by the left to target children with Marxist thought. This has been a decade-plus movement to undermine traditional American values and the nuclear family; It is now in full swing and being pushed through education and the media.

The choir just made the mistake of saying ‘the quiet part out loud.’

Brooke Rollins: Trump's Big Tech lawsuit strikes blow for First Amendment freedoms

Around "70-75% of Americans think that Big Tech has gone too far, that they are censoring based on political ideology," said the acting director of the Domestic Policy Council in the Trump administration.

Donald Trump's lawsuit against the CEOs of Big Tech companies Google, Facebook, and Twitter for their censorship is nothing less than a bid to help preserve America's founding principles, according to Brooke Rollins, who served as acting director of the Domestic Policy Council under the former president.

While Trump faced deplatforming and other forms of censorship from Big Tech during his presidency, he has the resources to fight back, Rollins told the John Solomon Reports podcast.

Meanwhile, everyday Americans experiencing similar censorship "look at each other and say, 'This is not right, this is not America,'" said Rollins. "And the minute that the First Amendment becomes meaningless, or is hijacked by three major companies, that's the start of the end of the great American experiment."

John Solomon Reports 29:54 min

Big Tech censorship "has really woken up so much of our country that probably knew something was wrong and didn't love where things were going, and didn't love their property tax or their income tax bills and knew government had gotten too big, but that didn't quite know how to articulate it," said Rollins, currently president and CEO of America First Policy Institute. "And now they do — they see the critical race theory, the government-sponsored racism that's infiltrating everything we're doing. They see Big Tech taking over and telling people what they can and cannot say.

"... almost 70-75% of Americans think that Big Tech has gone too far, that they are censoring based on political ideology. And if you think that's a big number — that's a lot of Democrats in that number."

The Pew Research Center's June 2020 poll found that 73% of Americans believe that "it’s likely that social media sites intentionally censor political viewpoints they find objectionable." According to the poll, 59% of Democrats and 90% of Republicans agree.

"So it's not a Republican versus Democrat thing anymore," Rollins argued. "It really is a 'What kind of America do you want your children and your grandchildren to grow up in?' And guess what, there are a lot of Democrats who don't want their children growing up in the country in what it looks like right now. And that's what we're going to change."

Homeschool Applications Double In California

FRIDAY, JUL 09, 2021 - 01:04 PM
Authored by Jack Bradley via The Epoch Times,

The number of home school applications submitted to the California Department of Education (DOE) soared during the 2020-2021 school year, state data indicates.

There were 34,715 private school affidavits (PSAs) for five children or less submitted during the most recent curricular year. In California, homeschools are recognized as private schools, and homeschooling families are required to submit an affidavit to the DOE annually.

The most recent homeschool figures are more than twice as high as they were during the 2018-2019 school year, when 14,548 PSAs were filed. There were 22,433 PSAs filed during the 2019-2020 school year.
“People are just really dissatisfied with the performance of the regular public schools during the COVID crisis,” Lance Izumi, a senior director of the Center for Education at the Pacific Research Institute and author of the upcoming book on homeschooling, “Voices from Home,” told The Epoch Times.
Izumi said California’s increase in homeschooling is part of a nationwide trend.

Between spring and fall of 2020, the percentage of homeschoolers nationwide more than doubled, jumping from 5.4 percent to 11.1 percent in less than four months.

The numbers are classified as true homeschooling and do not include distance learning at a public or private school.

The largest increase in homeschoolers was especially notable among minority groups, including black and Hispanic learners.

In African American households, the proportion of homeschooling quintupled from 3.3 percent in spring 2020, to 16.1 percent in fall 2020.

In Hispanic households, the number of households that opted for homeschooling doubled in the same time, from 6.2 percent to 12.1 percent.

Izumi said many black and Hispanic kids were reportedly performing the poorest academically prior to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) virus pandemic.

Once the CCP virus pandemic occurred, those students fell behind even further, Izumi said.
“A lot of minority parents—African American, Hispanic parents—who weren’t very satisfied with the public schools before COVID, are now especially dissatisfied with the public schools because their kids are just not doing well in this distance learning situation that the regular public schools have tried to force on everybody,” he said.
Many parents are unhappy with the quality of the distance learning their children received during the past year’s school closures, Izumi said, causing them to opt instead for homeschooling.
“Remote learning has not worked for a lot of parents,” Izumi said.
“I think that they feel that their kids are not getting the type of education and learning that they should be getting, and a lot of their kids are really suffering because of huge learning losses.”
Izumi said another reason parents are opting to home school is because they worry about “indoctrination in the classroom.”

Due to distance learning, many parents had the chance to “look over the shoulder” of their children and have been “alarmed” to find out they were learning about critical race theory (CRT), a Marxist ideology that divides society into oppressors and the oppressed based on characteristics such as race, sex, class, or sexual proclivities.
“Parents see that as causing division … that is causing social and emotional harm to those kids,” Izumi said.
“One way that parents can control what their children are learning is to homeschool.”
Izumi said parents choose homeschooling over private schools because it’s cheaper; and homeschooling over charters due to convenience, as charters only make up about one in 10 public schools in the state.
“If you don’t have the money for private school, and there isn’t a charter school nearby that may provide a better alternative for your child, then really the only thing left for you is homeschooling,” he said.
Izumi wanted to assure parents that homeschooling is “more feasible than people think,” since there are many different types of homeschooling that can accommodate different families.

Despite the state’s emergency restrictions easing, and schools announcing a return to in-person learning in the fall, Izumi said this may be the beginning of a new era for homeschooling.

“My prediction is that this increase [in homeschooling] is something that you’re going to see continue in the future … When parents find out that actually they can do it, and that they do have greater control [over their children’s education] other parents are going to see that, and you’re going to have a snowball effect.”

White House press secretary Jen Psaki indicated on Friday that President Joe Biden is supportive of critical race theory being taught in K-12 schools across America.

Real Clear News reporter Philip Wegmann asked about the NEA, the nation's largest teacher's union, backing critical race theory and Biden's stance on anti-racism curriculum in K-12 classrooms. Psaki answered that "kids should learn about our history," including that "there is systemic racism that is still impacting society today."

"The president believes that in our history, there are many dark moments and there is not just slavery and racism in our history, there is systemic racism that is still impacting society today," Psaki replied.

"And he believes, as I believe, as a parent of children, that kids should learn about our history." Psaki noted that Biden, as the spouse of an educator, "continues to believe that children should learn not just the good, but also the challenging in our history, and that's part of what we're talking about here, even as it's becoming political charged."

The National Education Association revealed its nationwide campaign to push critical race theory, adopting several actions in favor of the divisive indoctrination during its Annual Meeting and Representative Assembly last weekend.

One of the agenda items pledged to "share and publicize" information available on critical race theory—"what it is and what it is not."

Business Item 39 stated that the "USA's economy/social order is built on interactions between different cultures/races" and that "To deny opportunities to teach truth about Black, Brown, and other marginalized races minimalizes the necessity for students to build efficacy."

Other education and union figures have used similar language to downplay the dangers of critical race theory. Union president Randi Weingarten has pledged to members of the American Federation of Teachers, another one of the country’s largest teacher's unions in the country, to defend educators who implement critical race theory in class curriculum, calling it an "honest history" of the United States.

"Mark my words: Our union will defend any member who gets in trouble for teaching honest history. Teaching the truth is not radical or wrong. Distorting history and threatening educators for teaching the truth is what is truly radical and wrong," Weingarten said Tuesday via virtual speech to the AFT.

Jen Psaki: Biden Believes Schools Should Teach on ‘Systemic Racism that Is Still Impacting Society Today’
The White House / YouTube

JOSHUA CAPLAN9 Jul 2021263

Biden White House press secretary Jen Psaki on Friday responded to a question regarding the teaching of Critical Race Theory (CRT) in schools — which a reporter euphemized as “antiracism” — saying that President Joe Biden believes schools should teach “systemic racism that is still impacting society today.”

A transcript is as follows:
PHILIP WEGMANN: Delegates of the National Education Association approved a measure last week calling for support of, “the implementation of culturally responsive education, Critical Race Theory, and ethnic Studies curriculum in pre- K-12 and higher education.” The president is obviously a big fan of education, the first lady is a union teacher. I’m wondering what are the president’s thoughts on antiracism curriculum.
JEN PSAKI: The president believes in our history there were many dark moments and there is not just slavery and racism in our history, there’s systemic racism that’s still impacting society today. And he believes, and as I believe as a parent of children, that kids should learn about our history. So, as a spouse of an educator and some who continues to believe that children should learn not just the good, but also the challenging in our history and that’s part of what were talking about, even as it’s become politically charged.

Joel Pollak to Hannity: ‘Elites Are Embracing Critical Race Theory Because It Allows Them to Maintain Their Power’
Joel Pollak

ROBERT KRAYCHIK9 Jul 2021166

White elites use critical race theory for self-aggrandizement, Breitbart News Senior Editor-at-Large Joel Pollak said on Friday’s edition of the Sean Hannity Show.

Pollak said white elites hype “white supremacy” and “white privilege” to cast themselves as the sole agents of possible salvation from these supposed phenomena.

“Elites love critical race theory because it makes white supremacy the problem and it makes white privilege the issue that has to be unraveled,” he stated. “The only people who can unravel white privilege are white people themselves. That’s why you see elite white kids out in the street rioting.”

He continued, “That’s why you see Jen Psaki talking about systemic racism. You know she’s not going to give up her job for Symone Sanders anytime soon, but they love it because it makes them central. They can be the leaders of this new civil rights movement. They are important because it’s only they who can renounce white privilege.”

“Ironically, it makes elite white people who want to be told how wonderful they are — instead of just getting down to the business of being American and doing a day’s work — it makes them so important. So critical race theory actually flatters the elite.”

He added, “The elites are embracing critical race theory because it allows them to maintain their power.”

Proponents of critical race theory frame “radical redistribution” and increased central planning and state controls as “the only solution,” Pollak observed.

Critical race theory “is a driving ideology in this administration,” he added.
Sean Hannity introduced the segment by playing audio from 2012 of Pollak describing critical race theory and former President Barack Obama’s embrace of one its academic proponents.

Pollak explained in 2012:
Derrick Bell was the originator of a school of thought called critical race theory, and he said that the civil rights laws were bad for black people, because it encouraged black people to believe that there could be racial equality.

In his view, the entire system — the entire United States of America — was white supremacist to its core, and therefore you had to bring the entire system down.

This is what he taught. This what he wrote, and these are the ideas that Obama said — on tape — are inspiring him and causing everyone to open their minds.

[Derrick Bell] is the man who is and was the Jeremiah Wright of academia.
Pollak recalled breaking the news of Obama’s affinity for critical race theory in 2012 and leftist media’s subsequent attempts to distort the public’s understanding of the neo-Marxist paradigm.

He noted that critical race theorists replace class with race in their sociological analyses, viewing racial struggle as the driving force in human affairs.

He remarked, “Jen Psaki said today that we have systemic racism in our society that is responsible for inequalities today. What she’s doing is applying a Marxist idea to race, and the idea is that just as Marxists believe class is the structure of society, critical race theorists believe that race is the structure of society, and that our society is racist because our institutions were created with racism in mind.”

Creepy Andrew Weissmann Slips Up and Inadvertently Shares that the Feds are Spying on Whoever They Want and Sharing Results within the DOJ

By Joe Hoft
Published July 10, 2021 at 7:06am
Andrew-Weissmann-AL-600x436.jpg

Crooked Andrew Weissmann was on far-left MSNBC to discuss the NSA’s spying of Tucker Carlson.

Weissmann oversaw and ran the sham Mueller investigation that harrassed President Trump for his entire term. It’s likely he’s involved in the recent BS indictments of the Trump Organization and its CFO.

Weissmann participated in numerous illegal actions while attempting to put a crime together on President Trump. Weissmann was in on the Trump – Russia BS sham in mid-2016. He obviously knew it was made up from the start. He knew this the entire time he attacked the President using the taxpayers’ money and he didn’t give a damn what the people in American thought about the sham. He was after Trump.

The sham was created by Hillary in response to the emails that her campaign knew were coming out in 2016. Hillary had been involved in the sale of 25% of the US’s uranium to Russia. In return, the Clinton Foundation received millions.

Hillary needed a Russia story on then-candidate Trump so she made one up. It was all BS. We all knew Putin wanted Hillary elected. He could have whatever he wanted with her in charge. He showed this by invading Crimea with no response from the US under Obama/Biden.

Even before President Trump stepped into the White House he was under attack by the Deep State. When the BS Mueller investigation was formed on BS accusations and lies by James Comey and others, Weissmann was right there taking the lead in the investigation. In a sense, he had to. Mueller was old and senile and he couldn’t run a thing.

During their corrupt investigation text messages between two crooks on the Mueller gang, Strzok and Page, were found which showed the Mueller gang’s hatred of President Trump. In response to this, Weissmann and his colleagues wiped clean over 31 phones and claimed this was a mistake in all cases at the same time. This was a criminal act by all who participated but nothing was done.

What were they hiding?

Upon leaving the federal government, Weissmann worked on a book appropriately titled, ‘Where the Law Ends: Inside the Mueller Investigation’.

Sundance at the Conservative Treehouse, reported yesterday on a recent Weissmann interview at MSNBC. Sundance notes that the NSA has no oversight.

Something that was created by the Obama regime. Along with this, the data collected by the NSA, which many people claim was collected illegally on Americans, is supposedly segregated from the rest of the DOJ. However, Weissmann slips up and shares that in essence, this data, is shared with the rest of the DOJ:
As the current story is told a whistleblower in the intelligence community told Tucker Carlson his communication was intercepted by the NSA. By the NSA originating standard, the same standard they claim to uphold publicly, the NSA has a foreign intelligence mission; and their data collection is supposed to be in a silo related to foreign intelligence gathering. If an American is picked up ‘incidentally‘ by the NSA collection, that information is supposed to remain inside that silo.
However, as you watch this MSNBC segment, notice how casually Andrew Weissmann says that Tucker Carlson should have gone to the DOJ (Main Justice) with any concerns about his communication being intercepted by the NSA. Listen carefully to how Weissmann frames what Carlson “should have done” (prompted)

What conservative in their right mind would go to the DOJ for anything. After the Trump Presidency, we know that the DOJ will take your question and wrap it into a BS crime just because you believe in the American dream and they don’t. Who really is running our DOJ?

Meet Jigsaw: Google’s Intelligence Agency

PrivacyToGo
It’s no secret that Google regularly collaborates with intelligence agencies. They are a known NSA subcontractor. They launched Google Earth using a CIA spy satellite network.

Their executive suite’s revolving door with DARPA is well known.

In the wake of the January 6th Capitol event, the FBI used Google location data to pwn attendants with nothing more than a valid Gmail address and smartphone login:
The police were then able to obtain an Instagram registration email, which turned out to be a Gmail address. With that in hand, investigators ordered Google to provide any location data they had on that Gmail user, which the tech giant duly provided after it identified a linked smartphone.
A stark reminder that carrying a tracking device with a Google login, even with the SIM card removed, can mean the difference between freedom and an orange jumpsuit in the Great Reset era.

But Google also operates its own internal intelligence agency – complete with foreign regime-change operations that are now being applied domestically.

And they’ve been doing so without repercussion for over a decade.

FROM GOOGLE IDEAS TO GOOGLE REGIME CHANGE
In 2010, Google CEO Eric Schmidt created Google Ideas. In typical Silicon Valley newspeak, Ideas was marketed as a “think/do tank to research issues at the intersection of technology and geopolitics.”

Astute readers know this “think/do” formula well – entities like the Council on Foreign Relations or World Economic Forum draft policy papers (think) and three-letter agencies carry them out (do).

And again, in typical Silicon Valley fashion, Google wanted to streamline this process – bring everything in-house and remake the world in their own image.
To head up Google Ideas, Schmidt tapped a man named Jared Cohen.

He couldn’t have selected a better goon for the job – as a card-carrying member of the Council on Foreign Relations and Rhodes Scholar, Cohen is a textbook Globalist spook. The State Department doubtlessly approved of his sordid credentials, as both Condoleeza Rice and Hillary Clinton enrolled Cohen to knock over foreign governments they disapproved of.

Google Ideas’ role in the 2014 Ukraine regime change operation is well-documented. And before that, their part in overthrowing Mubarak in Egypt was unveiled by way of the Stratfor leaks.

More recently, the role of Google Ideas in the attempted overthrow of Assad in Syria went public thanks to the oft-cited Hillary Clinton email leaks:

Please keep close hold, but my team is planning to launch a tool on Sunday that will publicly track and map the defections in Syria and which parts of the government they are coming from.

Our logic behind this is that while many people are tracking the atrocities, nobody is visually representing and mapping the defections, which we believe are important in encouraging more to defect and giving confidence to the opposition.

Given how hard it is to get information into Syria right now, we are partnering with Al-Jazeera who will take primary ownership over the tool we have built, track the data, verify it, and broadcast it back into Syria. I’ve attached a few visuals that show what the tool will look like. Please keep this very close hold and let me know if there is anything eke you think we need to account for or think about before we launch. We believe this can have an important impact.
– Jared Cohen to State Dept. Officials, July 25, 2012

With all this mounting evidence, surely Google Ideas was decommissioned. Surely Jared Cohen was swiftly ousted from his position at one of America’s premier Big Tech darlings for crimes against humanity, right?

Of course not!

Why scrap all that hard work when you can just rebrand and shift your regime change operations to domestic targets?

GOOGLE JIGSAW – USA PSYOP EDITION
Google Ideas was renamed Google Jigsaw in 2015 after years of bad
press and controversy – this time with an eye on performing psychological operations in the United States.

But all that experience data mining and overthrowing Middle Eastern nations wasn’t just thrown out. Rather, Jigsaw repurposed its internal psychological operations program (code-named Operation Abdullah) to instead target “right-wing conspiracy theorists,” as revealed by privacy researcher Rob Braxman.
Using a technique known as the redirect method, Jigsaw attempts to populate outbound links to dissuade potential thought-criminals from looking at wrongthink.

Make no mistake – the redirect method is about more than manipulation of search engine results. It’s one thing to manipulate the content of searches based on query strings, but to target the psychology of the searcher themselves requires an accurate psychological profile of the person doing the searching.

And Google has psych profiles in spades thanks to centralized Google logins: To Android phones, to Gmail accounts, to adjunct services like YouTube, even to children via Google Classroom.

You don’t even need to use Google’s search engine to populate them with weaponized data. In fact, search alone provides far fewer avenues for offensive metadata usage than a cell phone.

We would implore readers to take a look at Jigsaw’s site. It’s a study in how to use front-end design to creep out your visitor, as a snippet of JavaScript code ensures your cursor is tracked in a spotlight throughout your visit:

The site also uses another bit of intelligence tradecraft known as “transferrence” – it’s a simple psychological tactic of shifting blame from yourself to your target.

The four subheaders on Jigsaw’s homepage, Disinformation, Censorship, Toxicity and Violent Extremism demonstrate this tactic at work.
  • There is no greater source of media disinformation than MSM and the information served up by Google search engines.
  • Big Tech are at the forefront of destroying free speech through heavy-handed censorship, Google among them.
  • Psychological manipulation tactics used by the social justice crowd doubtlessly instill toxicity in those subjected to them.
  • And Google’s well-documented history of participating in bloody regime change as described in this article are textbook cases of violent extremism.
Yet Jigsaw markets itself as combating these societal ails. Of course, nothing could be further from the truth, just as Google’s former company tag-line of “Don’t Be Evil” was a similar reversal of reality.

And yes, regime change aficionado Jared Cohen is still the CEO of Google Jigsaw. In fact, Jigsaw, LLC was overtly brought back in-house as of October 2020.

IN CLOSING
As we’ve described in previous articles, vast swaths of the State-controlled Panopticon are currently being outsourced to Big Tech companies.

Call this phenomenon a public-private partnership. Call it the Great Reset. Call it Agenda 2030, or Agenda 21, or “stakeholder capitalism,” or any of the other euphemisms dreamt up by these hapless would-be oligarchs to sell neofeudal Technocracy to the public.

Making intelligence services pseudo-independent from the State is simply a mandatory prerequisite for fully globalizing them.

Furthermore, as the Biden administration seeks to reclassify half of the country as domestic extremists, it’s no secret that companies like Google, with their vast data weaponization programs, will play a key role in identifying Public Enemy #1:
You.

There is no “silver bullet” solution to this problem. Nearly all consumer electronics can be exploited at very low levels. Even the Internet itself is a longstanding military intelligence operation.

But this doesn’t mean any action short of becoming a Luddite is meaningless!
If data is the new oil, it’s time to shut off your well:
  • Abstain from using Google Mail, Docs, or Search where possible.
  • Seek out alternative social media and content creation platforms.
  • If your smartphone requires heavy dependence on Apple or Google for logins or closed-source apps, consider privacy-respecting alternatives.
  • Familiarize yourself with common data harvesting tactics and take action where you can.
While a full list of meaningful action is beyond the purview of this post (or any single blog entry for that matter), the important takeaway here is this:

We cannot opt out of mass government surveillance. But we knowingly consent to most forms of “privatized” intelligence gathering.

Take the first step and revoke your consent.

PrivacyToGo.co is an anti-Technocracy blog dedicated to unveiling the role of surveillance technology companies amidst the ongoing fusion of State and Corporate power. They adopt a solutions-oriented approach through education on the dangers of consumer electronics and offer degoogled smartphones to thwart contact tracing and broader Big Tech surveillance efforts.

A Country That Has Lost Its Way: U.S. Government and Corporations Combine to Strip Citizens of Their Rights

By Philip Giraldi
July 10, 2021

The Biden Administration is calling on Americans to spy on friends, neighbors and family and reporting any “extremist” views to the authorities.

The American people have increasingly become aware that government surveillance and corporate censorship have combined to keep people ignorant and controlled. What is taking place has generated some dark humor. A friend of mine, also a former CIA officer, wrote to me recently and said tongue-in-cheek that he retains a lot of respect for the Agency because it is the only major government national security entity that does not read our mail and emails.

Those jobs are the responsibility of the NSA and FBI. I responded that I would imagine that CIA does in fact read quite a lot of mail where it operates overseas but it is probably done the old-fashioned way by recruiting an underpaid mail clerk as an agent.

The whole issue of the government spying illegally on its own citizens has again made the news with the claims by conservative commentator Tucker Carlson that NSA has been spying on him, presumably because he has connections that the government regards either as subversive or, in the new reckoning, as “extremists” who are potential “domestic terrorists.” Given the reasonable assumption that anyone who voted for Donald Trump might well fall under those categories, that means that something like half the U.S. population could be under suspicion.

Mass electronic surveillance of literally trillions of phone calls and messages worldwide without a warrant in violation of the Fourth Amendment restrictions on searches without probable cause or a proper warrant issued by a judge has been the regular NSA authorized procedure at least since 9/11 and there is no reason to assume that it is no longer the practice. It basically is initiated by the agency involved (normally NSA or FBI) going to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) Court or to some other appropriate judge to get a warrant on an individual where there is some probable cause. Probable cause can consist of “someone searching the web for suspicious stuff.” The Court then gives its approval, which it does in the case of FISA 99% of the time. When that individual is then surveilled, the names of his or her contacts are also added to the investigation. And it goes on from there, expanding and growing until it includes thousands of phone numbers and email addresses, individuals who are overwhelmingly innocent of any wrongdoing.

So, it is safe to assume that many of us are right at this moment eligible for being monitored electronically by the federal government. If one combines that with the Biden Administration’s June 1st announcement of a war on “domestic terrorism,” which it clearly considers to be a function of “white supremacists,” it is easy to see where all that is going. Biden pulled no punches, describing the threat from “white supremacy” as the “most lethal threat to the homeland today,” so that would mean that the government is doing all in its power to stamp it out, whatever it takes and whatever that means.

Surveilling ordinary Americans for what they might be thinking, which is what this comes down to, would be a George Orwellian 1984 tale for our times, updated from when Winston Smith was doing mandatory daily exercises in front of his television set. He slacked off a bit and the TV instantly admonished him.

He then wondered whether it was possible that he and all the other residents of Airstrip One (once called Britain) are surveilled all the time. He concluded that they were.

So, if your television set suddenly speaks to you in the next few months, it might not be Alexa. The other development that has surfaced in the past couple of weeks is the increased corporate cooperation with what the government is saying and doing. Mainstream media has certainly done its share of obfuscation, including the current near total suppression of the story that a key witness who provided false testimony against journalist Julian Assange languishing in a British prison has turned out to be a pedophile, diagnosed sociopath and serial liar. But the major player is inevitably social media, which has enormous power in the United States and also elsewhere to shape opinions and propagate false information that serves the government agenda. The media has banned numerous groups, individuals, and links to sites from its pages, a barrier to free speech and freedom of expression. And it has, for example, enthusiastically cooperated fully with the essentially fraudulent government claims of Russian interference in the two most recent U.S. elections. It is censoring or denigrating material that is at variance with official policies, including, for example, Facebook’s pop-ups that appear whenever there is any article that contests the approved version of the response to the COVID virus.

Back in June, the Biden administration said it would also be working with some of the large high-technology and social media companies to “increase information sharing” to assist in combatting radicalization. Biden announced that his Justice Department would create ways for Americans to report radicalized friends and family to the government. One senior official put it this way: “We will work to improve public awareness of federal resources to address concerning or threatening behavior before violence occurs… If you see something, say something. This involves creating contexts in which those who are family members or friends or co-workers know that there are pathways and avenues to raise concerns and seek help for those who they have perceived to be radicalizing and potentially radicalizing towards violence.”

In other words, in plain English, the Biden Administration is calling on Americans to spy on friends, neighbors and family and reporting any “extremist” views to the authorities. Well, Facebook is now fully on board with more of the same, engaged in the “hot” war against the “white supremacists/extremists/domestic terrorists.” It has blocked or shut down many former contributors and also begun posting at least two versions of warnings to users. One targets individuals who might have personally been visiting an “extremist” site while the other encourages users to snitch on friends or family who might be enticed by such material. The personalized pop-up reads as follows: “[Name of Recipient], you many have been exposed to harmful extremist content recently – Violent groups try to manipulate your anger and disappointment. You can take action now to protect yourself and others.-Get support from experts-Spot the signs, understand the dangers of extremism and hear from people who escaped violent groups.”

The snitch on friends version reads: “Are you concerned that someone you know is becoming an extremist?-We care about preventing extremism on Facebook. Others in your situation have received confidential support.-How you can help.-Hear stories and get advice from people who escaped violent extremist groups-Get support.”

To be sure, one has to ask how Facebook knows that one has visited an “extremist” site since they have blocked such material. Are they somehow hacking into the personal accounts of their own users? The situation is dire, no doubt about it, but it has provoked a backlash, including this post: “Become the extremist Facebook warned you about!” One also has to wonder how Facebook will deal with individuals who complain about some other groups with a demonstrated history of promoting violence, including black lives matter, that are not white supremacist related. It will almost certainly do nothing, just like the federal government’s demonstrated “racially sensitive” supine response to a year of riot, burning, looting and homicide. In truth Americans are standing at the edge of a precipice with just one more “crisis” possibly coming that will tip everyone over the edge so we wind up with a totalitarian government which works hard to keep everyone safe by doing the opposite. We are almost there, and if you doubt it just go take a look at Facebook.

FBI Twitter request to report friends, family for ‘suspicious behaviors’ doesn’t end well

July 11, 2021 | Vivek Saxena |

The FBI set itself up for disaster Sunday by posting a tweet encouraging Americans “to learn how to spot” signs of extremism among their friends and family members and then turn in those same friends and family members afterward.

“Family members and peers are often best positioned to witness signs of mobilization to violence. Help prevent homegrown violent extremism. Visit go.usa.gov/x6mjf to learn how to spot suspicious behaviors and report them to the #FBI. #NatSec,” the federal agency tweeted.

The tweet provoked widespread, bipartisan backlash, mockery and insults, both from conservatives angry over the bureau’s uneven application of the law, and also from the true liberals who’ve always despised the security state.

Look at the tweet below:

1626044670218.png

The anger from the right stemmed from the glaring dichotomy between the Department of Justice’s obsession with the Jan. 6th riot at the U.S. Capitol and its utter lack of interest in the deadly Black Lives Matter and Antifa riots that occurred throughout all of last year (and are still ongoing in certain sectors of the country).

In fact, just last week the DOJ announced that they’re spending $6.1 million of taxpayer funds just to build a database of Jan. 6th evidence.

There’s no record of the department ever seeking out that sort of money to fund a database to compile all the evidence surrounding the months upon months of violent rioting by BLM and Antifa extremists.

View a sample of the conservative anger below:

Over on the left, true liberals — the type who read Glenn Greenwald and have been railing against the security state for decades — lambasted the FBI for its “lengthy, disgusting and pathetic history.”

Look:

1626045127322.png

Meanwhile, establishment liberals — the type who worship House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the suspected pedophiles at the Lincoln Project — rushed to thank the bureau for allegedly doing a good job.

Look:
1626045210636.png

This unsubstantiated gratitude seems to define the leftist mindset. After all, the FBI has been responsible for a plethora of recent screw-ups and failures — some of them deadly.

Most notably, the FBI dropped the ball on the Parkland shooter by failing to follow up on credible tips, thus effectively allowing the shooter to kill 17 people.

The FBI also recently broke down the door of, handcuffed and questioned a couple in a case of mistaken identity pertaining to the Jan. 6th riot.

The FBI used the fraudulent Steele dossier that was paid for by Hillary Clinton to spy on then-GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump.

The FBI did nothing about Hunter Biden’s laptop, despite it reportedly containing copious amounts of evidence pertaining to his alleged crimes.

1626044516569.png

But the FBI did seize a “fully constructed U.S. Capitol Lego set” from a Jan. 6th rioter.

And yet the FBI still hasn’t determined who’d placed pipe bombs near the headquarters of the Democrat National Committee and the Republican National Committee.

This experiment has derailed. It’s not similar in any way since Republicans aren’t this crazy concerning political correctness, but there was a dominant wing of the party that simply had to be told to get to the back of the bus around 2016. The neoconservative project derailed post-Iraq War. Americans were not going to keep a GOP majority in Congress over national security fears. They were tired of endless wars. They were not patient over this nation-building nonsense. They saw the bill we paid, what we got, and we’re not pleased.

With Democrats, their ascendant ‘woke’ wing is more of an issue on the domestic front. With political correctness, speech codes, proper pronoun nonsense, and critical race theory being jammed down our throats, Democrats are quietly admitting this lurch to the Left on anything cultural is going to cost them a ton of votes. It could be potentially catastrophic for the 2022 midterms. To put it bluntly, there are some on the Left who know that if the party continues to go ‘woke’ and it’ll go broke in every sense of the word concerning political capital.

The silver lining is that there are sensible liberals that still exist and know how they come off to most voters: condescending, self-righteous, and insufferable. As a progressive, you can make yourself miserable nonstop. This is America, but don’t think for a second that makes for a popular agenda. Political correctness-induced misery is the drug of choice for normal people (via Axios):
A growing number of Democrats are ringing the alarm that their party sounds — and acts — too judgmental, too sensitive, too "woke" to large swaths of America.

Why it matters: These Democrats warn that by jamming politically correct terms or new norms down the throats of voters, they risk exacerbating the cultural wars — and inadvertently helping Trumpian candidates.

Top Democrats confide that they're very aware of the danger. Already, we've seen a widespread pullback in the "defund the police" rhetoric.
[…]

Democratic strategist James Carville has been warning his party about this for months, telling Vox in an April interview:

"You ever get the sense that people in faculty lounges in fancy colleges use a different language than ordinary people? ... This is not how voters talk."
[…]

What we're hearing: Moderate and swing-district lawmakers and aides tell Axios' Margaret Talev and Alayna Treene that the party could suffer massive losses in next year's midterms if Democrats run like Sen. Elizabeth Warren is president.

One former Senate aide said it's "bye-bye majority" if Democrats run on "extreme wokeness."
Yes, indeed. In fact, ‘defund the police’ is what spurred scores of black and Hispanic voters to vote Republican in 2020. Most voters aren’t liberal and don’t view every issue along the lines of an academic exercise like college-educated whites who have the luxury. These are some of the most ideological people in the country, whereas most nonwhite voters do not view everything through this prism. Yet, white liberals are the ones who are swelling the ranks of the Democratic Party and are starting to control more of the messaging and agenda-setting. David Shor, a liberal data scientist, has noted that white liberals want a liberal vs conservative dichotomy in elections. Bad idea since Shor knows liberals would lose—big. Also, white liberals are known to put feelings in front of facts when it comes to voter narratives. Hispanics are not all that liberal on the issue of immigration, but white liberals think so, hence their incessant push for open borders policy. Kevin Drum, a liberal blogger, noted that for years it was the hypothesis that GOP could do well with Latino voters if they just moderated a bit. Instead, Democrats got so nuts, it’s pushing them into the GOP by default. Electoral disaster could be on the horizon for the Left. I hope so.

That Troubling Expansion of Capitol Police Gets Even Worse With Tech They Plan to Use

By Nick Arama | Jul 10, 2021 7:30 PM ET

We previously reported on the troubling expansion of satellite offices of the Capitol Police being planned across the country.

Unlike other federal government-related police which are subject to FOIA and part of the executive branch, the Capitol Police are under the control of Congress and not subject to FOIA. So, basically you have a police force controlled by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi spreading out across the country.

I’m not a conspiracy fan, but you don’t have to be to find that problematic.

Now, there’s more that is setting off the alarm bells in my head.

Not only will they be setting up across the country, starting first with offices in California and Florida, but they will have military surveillance equipment as they become “an intelligence based protective agency,” according to the Washington Times.
Defense Secretary Loyd (sic) Austin recently approved the Capitol Police’s request for eight Persistent Surveillance Systems Ground – Medium (PSSG-M) units. The system provides high-definition surveillance video and is enabled with night vision. The system does not include facial recognition capabilities, according to the Pentagon.
“This technology will be integrated with existing USCP camera infrastructure, providing greater high definition surveillance capacity to meet steady-state mission requirements and help identify emerging threats,” the Pentagon said.

The technology, originally used by the U.S. troops during the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, allows the user to monitor large areas 24/7 through extremely high-resolution cameras.
Oh, no problem there either.

More?
In a wartime application, the persistent surveillance units were mounted on tethered blimps. The data could be stored, combined with sensor data from other platforms, and later referenced or rewound to track individuals or groups.

It could be used by the military to develop a “pattern of life” analysis on suspected enemy combatants or intelligence targets in war zones.
The Army is going to teach the Capitol Police how to use the technology.
It just looks tailor-made to spy on large groups of people, particularly events like protests. I’m betting they wouldn’t be aiming for leftist protests either. But, really, it can involve spying over a large area. What’s the justification for that, all of the sudden? All of this because of a three-hour riot? Why does this not sound like it’s just to deal with present threats against members of Congress? And can we talk about the problems of using such things to spy on Americans — and all the constitutional questions that might raise?

The Washington Times notes that a federal appeals court ruled against the use of persistent surveillance technology similar to “Gorgon Stare technology,” which they found to be unconstitutional because of the wide area of coverage allowing the tracking of hundreds at a time.

So, what’s going on here? And why is there so little coverage of this? Because whether you’re on the right or the left, this should concern both sides of the aisle.

Rep. Stewart In New Op-Ed: “Corporate America Is China’s Newest Weapon”

Jul 10, 2021

On Friday Republican Congressional Representative Chris Stewart, who represents Utah’s 2nd district, published an op-ed discussing China’s influence on corporate America and how it poses a threat to American national security.

The piece also describes the House Intelligence Committee’s “investigation into the extent of China’s malign influence activities against corporate America.”

Rep. Stewart began the op-ed stating the obvious, pointing out that “China’s ultimate strategic goal is becoming the world’s preeminent superpower – economically, militarily, diplomatically and technologically” and that they are “actively work[ing] to shape our public opinion.” He then dropped the central thesis: “American companies are deeply entangled in this effort, wittingly and unwittingly.”

“That’s why my Republican colleagues on the House Intelligence Committee and myself launched an investigation into the extent of China’s malign influence activities against corporate America.” Stewart wrote. “The aim of our investigation is to raise public awareness of China’s grip on American corporations, and, more importantly, answer some critical questions.”

He continued, explaining some of the central questions the investigation would focus on.

“How are U.S. companies vulnerable to Chinese theft? How does China influence U.S. businesses and to what end? What role does China play in our supply chain and what vulnerabilities does this create? This investigation is ongoing, but one answer is already clear: China is using corporate America to influence our government and public opinion. The preliminary findings confirm many of our fears.”

Stewart then explained the numerous abuses the Chinese have levied towards American business, claiming that “U.S. businesses are being manipulated into sharing key technologies with China,” allowing “Beijing access to sensitive intellectual property.” According to Stewart, these actions benefiting China-based firms and the Chinese Communist Party alike, all at the expense of American industry. He went on to point out that the “effort is only accelerated by the fact that CCP members serve as board members and senior executives in many U.S. firms.”

The op-ed continued, with Stewart boldly saying “This is not just about China stealing America’s intellectual property, penetrating our markets and exploiting our national security, though. This is a campaign to manipulate the hearts and minds of the American people.”

He went on to explain the investigation is not a matter of discovering if China is influencing America, but rather “a matter of how severely they are manipulating our businesses and culture for their own benefit.”

The Utah Representative concluded the op-ed imploring action from the American people, saying “If our business leaders don’t open their eyes, recognize the gravity of this situation, and prioritize American interests, we will all suffer the consequences of an ever-empowered Chinese Communist Party.”

Publisher Or Not? GETTR Accuses Twitter Of Violating Section 230 By Blocking Users From Importing Tweets

by Kari Donovan
July 11, 2021

Publisher Or Not? GETTR Accuses Twitter Of Violating Section 230 By Blocking Users From Importing Tweets

One of the highly marketable functions of GETTR, the new Jason Miller social media platform, is the possibility of users being able to transfer their Twitter data to a new account on a different platform. Miller accounted on Saturday that Twitter is not cooperating, and therefore they are in violation of Section 230.

Key Point: GETTR is a “forcing function” to bust open Section 230 protections for Big Tech.
Consider, House Judiciary Republicans released a plan led by Jim Banks, chair of the Republican Study Committee, to regulate Big Tech by allowing users that have been censored to sue. The GOP lawmakers want to overhaul tech liability protection under section 230, which has been exploited.
Politico reported on the GOP led push:

“Courts have long held that Section 230 protections extend to distributors of content as well as publishers. Banks’ bill builds on Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas’ arguments last year that “many courts have construed [Section 230] broadly to confer sweeping immunity” for big tech companies. ”

How the common person sees it:

“Twitter shows us again its bestial grin and robbery of user-generated content.

We are well aware of all the dastardly tricks of Twitter. Twitter won’t be able to stop the massive transition of users to GETTR, even if we have to sacrifice our own content,” one poster wrote in reaction to Miller’s post with the announcement about Twitter’s violation.

GETTR DONE:
“We’re not backing down from this fight, or from defending your right to free speech, now or ever!,” Miller, the CEO of GETTR posted, along with his statement about Twitter.
1626048397977.png

SO WHO OWNS THE CONTENT YOUR POST?

One of the left’s favorite and most successful tactics to shut down opponents is to claim that everything is “intellectual property,” meaning it is their idea and work, and no one else can use what they have created.

The left also falls back on Social media CEOs owning the content of our posts and banning people at will because they are a small business and can set guidelines for the Community. However, with the introduction of GETTR and some fighters with a backbone, and some alignment with a Republican Government who are willing to push back on the left, The United States may be about ready for a change in the 230 protections of Big Tech, with will mean a great deal for media and politics and business.

News week covered the story and reported, ”
Jason Miller, CEO of the social media platform Gettr, released a statement Saturday on Twitter‘s ability to stop users from importing their tweets into Gettr.

Miller, a former senior advisor for Donald Trump, suggested stopping such imports would make Twitter an “owner” of the content—and thus a “publisher responsible for the content” on its platform.

“Twitter seems to be trying to have it both ways—simultaneously claiming that Twitter users own their tweets, so that Twitter can claim immunity from liability for its content moderation activities under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, but now asserting ownership of its users’ content by blocking its users’ ability to obtain a copy of their content.”

Bottomline: GETTR appears to more than an average social media platform. This story will be developing for some time to come.

The 26-word snippet that created the internet, Section 230.

You are Now in the Totalitarian Zone

By Clarice Feldman

Before I get to the bad news, let me start with some good news.

Christopher F. Rufo tweets that the revulsion against Critical Race Theory being taught in schools is showing results. Nine states have already banned it: Arizona, Texas, Tennessee, Florida, Arkansas, Oklahoma, New Hampshire, Iowa, and Idaho.

As more people realize this effort to divide us into what Scott Adams calls “losers and assholes” I expect we will see more states banning the teaching of this perfidious, noxious, baseless nonsense. On the other hand, there seems no backing off of it in the military, where it can do nothing but weaken our defense capabilities.

Other good news is that courts are rejecting efforts to scrap voter reform. Voter Reform is winning, and it’s what the voters want:
Voters want reform.

Just the News reported, "A strong, 62% majority of registered voters believe that Americans should have to provide photo identification when submitting a mail-in ballot, according to a new Just the News Daily Poll with Scott Rasmussen.

"Just 23% of respondents said voters should not be required to include their photo ID with mail-in ballots.

"Responses in favor of a photo ID requirement include 78% of Republicans, 50% of Democrats, and 60% of independents. An equal number of white and Hispanic respondents favored the rule, as did 51% of black voters."

Clyburn and Stacey Abrams now falsely claim they always supported voter ID.

Do not be discouraged because the media narrative of Jim Crow! Jim Crow! Jim Crow! is failing, failing, failing.

Jim Crow died more than a half-century ago thanks to civil rights legislation that Republicans made possible. LBJ needed 23 Republican votes in the Senate to overcome a filibuster. Everett Dirksen delivered 27.

The leader of that ill-fated filibuster, Bobby Byrd, later became the Senate Democrat leader.

The Democrat Party, which had passed actual Jim Crow laws now is losing in its attempt to reverse good policy by crying racism.
One more piece of good news, a Freedom of Information Act suit by Judicial Watch has confirmed what we’ve suspected -- Dr. Anthony Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) was deeply involved in the Wuhan Lab’s work on developing coronavirus and surely knew or had reason to know the source of COVID-19. He can hardly keep denying his collaboration in the development of the virus and efforts to obscure its source.
These new records reveal that NIAID gave nine China-related grants to EcoHealth Alliance to research coronavirus emergence in bats and was the National Institute of Health’s (NIH) top issuer of grants to the Wuhan lab itself.

These records also include an email from the Vice Director of the Wuhan Lab asking an NIH official for help finding disinfectants for decontamination of airtight suits and indoor surfaces.

Additionally, a World Health Day announcement lists “successful activities” of the US-China collaboration that included “detailed surveillance throughout China and in other countries on the emergence of coronaviruses” and NIH’s receipt of influenza samples from China to “assess risks associated with emerging variants for pandemic and zoonotic threat.”

The records further show that, in 2018, Dr. Ping Chen, the NIAID Representative in China, learned of a “type of new flu vaccine using nano-technology from China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology” and discovered that the Chinese had blocked all Internet links to reports on the new technology. This led Chen to write an urgent “night note” to US Government officials. The note said, “The intranasal nano-vaccine can target broad-spectrum flu viruses and induces robust immune responses.”

The documents also include a picture of the Wuhan facility building taken by Dr. Chen.
The bad news this week, is that the media is still feeding us baloney, the surveillance state is growing and we now have -- with judicial acquiescence -- a group of political prisoners in D.C. and a lunatic FBI dragnet against everyone who was anywhere near the Capitol on January 6.

More Media Lying
Most of us have not the perseverance, wit, or time to dissect the news. Dr. Randy Bock, a Facebook friend, does and he analyses a widely distributed AP story on the Northwestern heatwave by AP “science writer” Seth Borenstein, whose background is a BS degree in journalism from Boston University. Bock reveals the lack of independent investigation of sources and an exaggeration of the results of “studies” which align with the media agenda.

The article which appeared in hundreds of papers under different headers (the Omaha World Herald’s is “Northwest heat wave impossible without climate change”) purportedly is based on a study by an outfit called World Weather Attribution. Bock never heard of it, and neither have I. The Borenstein article describes the group as “An international team of 27 scientists" and says it “calculated that climate change increased chances of the extreme heat occurring by at least 150 times, but likely much more.”

The World Weather Attribution website does not list its source of funding, and if Borenstein asked, he didn’t say. Their mission only discusses the “possible” influence of climate change on extreme weather conditions. If we knew the funders we might possibly find out whether they included billionaire investors in green technology who would profit from such scaremongering. And scaremongering it is. As Bock notes, “On February 10, 1933 the temperature in Pendleton, Oregon hit 119 degrees. The CO2 concentration then was 309 ppm”, one hundred ppm less than the worldwide CO2 concentration today. It is with good reason that as Rasmussen reports 58% of U.S. voters at least somewhat agree that the media are "the enemy of the people."

Another Unaccountable Intelligence Agency was Just Created
In a press release, the Capitol Police, a largely patronage operation designed to protect the Capitol, just received a large boost in its already substantial budget to build regional offices in California and Florida and then in other regions “to investigate threats to members of Congress.

Reason shares my concern about yet another spying operation:
The department does not need to become yet another unaccountable intelligence agency involved in the dubious and often nakedly political project of conducting widespread surveillance on the American people.

Opening field agencies and monitoring "threats to members of Congress" are actions that dilute the Capitol Police's very clear mandate to guard the Capitol building. The FBI, National Security Agency (NSA), Department of Homeland Security, and CIA are already empowered to investigate threats to political leaders; the federal government does not need to hire additional spymasters for this purpose, especially given that the agencies burdened with doing so have tended to violate the rights of innocent Americans.

But make no mistake: The Capitol Police has every intention of becoming just like the FBI and the NSA.
Even worse, as the Capitol Police force is considered part of Congress, it is not covered by the Freedom of Information Act which means its operations are not transparent or accountable. That’s what has so far kept it from having to divulge the name of the officer who shot Ashli Babbitt.

Neither the Capitol Police nor the FBI has made publicly available the thousands of hours of videos of the January 6 Capitol riot which by now only the most deranged, ill-informed, or partisan continue to claim was an “armed insurrection” or one that resulted in the death of an officer.

Still, the media and Pelosi fantasy descriptions seem to have influenced the local courts to keep in jail pending trial without bail, some hundreds of participants on what are largely misdemeanor charges. And the circumstances under which they are being held are appalling as one judge finally took notice.
“I can’t allow someone to sit in prison for this long without access to material,” Judge Randolph Moss said at a court hearing on Thursday, saying the delay in evidence was “utterly unacceptable” and “not consistent with due process.” [snip]

Randolph ordered prosecutors to work with the jail to grant the defendant access to the evidence against him by the end of Thursday, reported CNN. If Mink doesn’t gain access to the documents soon, the judge said, his detention may be reconsidered.

There have been other reports of Jan. 6 defendants not being able to gain access to evidence against them, essentially denying them due process under the Constitution’s Fifth Amendment. Prosecutors have suggested that due to the sheer number of arrests related to the incident, there have been delays.

So far, more than 500 defendants across nearly every U.S. state have been charged over the past six months over the Jan. 6 breach, according to the Department of Justice in early July.
It comes as lawyers earlier this month said that dozens of people in federal custody following the Jan. 6 incident are currently being held in solitary confinement, denied access to legal counsel, and are being denied medical care.

“There are about 50 plus or minus that are being detained, that have been in prison for months and will likely remain in prison for many more months until their day in court,” attorney John Pierce told EpochTV’s “The Nation Speaks.”
See how this works: Roundup hundreds of people nationwide, most of whom did nothing illegal or at best misdemeanors, hold them in the worst possible conditions for months with no access to medical care, employment income, family visits, and the “evidence” against them in the hope they’ll plead to something and then argue in court you can’t do a better job of protecting their rights because there are so many of them. Nice trick. Let’s see how much longer the D.C. courts fall for it.

A new survey discovered that the majority of Americans are hesitant to share their political views due to the current political climate, fearing that peers may find their opinions to be offensive.

The 2020 poll conducted by the Cato Institute, a libertarian think tank, found that 62 percent of Americans self-censor their views to avoid offending others, an increase from 2017, when only 58 percent felt the same way.

Most conservatives and liberals said that they censor themselves. However, the survey found that, while 77 percent of all conservatives refrain from voicing political opinions, there is a larger divide among liberals as only staunch liberals said they were comfortable sharing their views.

While 52 percent of liberals and 64 percent of moderates refrain from political dialogue, only 42 percent of strong liberals said the current political climate stops them from expressing political opinions.

Despite strong liberals being the only group that feels they can voice their beliefs, there was an increase in the group of those who felt pressured to self-censor. The percentage of strong liberals who felt they could share their political views dropped 12 points since 2017.

The share of moderates and conservatives who self-censor saw a 7 point increase from 2017 to 2020. Moderates went from 57 percent to 64 percent while conservatives rose from 70 percent to 77 percent. Strong conservatives are the only ones to have not wavered on their decision to hold back their opinions they only endured a slight increase since 2017, from 76 percent to 77 percent, in respondents saying they refrain from expressing their views.

Nearly a third of Americans, or 32 percent, across ideologies said they were also fearful of their political views impacting their employment opportunities. Of employed Americans, 31 percent of liberals, 30 percent of moderates and 34 percent of conservatives said they were afraid of getting fired from their job or missing out on employment due to their views being known.

Half of the strong liberals surveyed said they would support the firing of a person who privately donated to former President Donald Trump while 36 percent of strong conservatives said they would support the termination of a private donor of President Joe Biden.

The survey conducted by the Cato Institute in collaboration with YouGov surveyed 2,000 American adults during July 1–6, 2020. The margin of error is +/- 2.36 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.

California Legalized Theft. Everyone’s Packages Were Stolen.

Porch piracy is what happens when stealing isn’t against the law.

California legalized theft with Proposition 47. Since then pharmacies and small businesses have been forced to shut down by a wave of shoplifters with nothing to fear from the law.

But it’s not just stores that are reeling from the crime wave unleashed by criminal justice reform.

Proposition 47 was passed in 2014. LAPD crime data shows that package thefts shot up from 500 to 700 between 2014 to 2015. By 2016, they rose to 1,000, and 1,200 in 2017.

In Sawtelle, home to Little Tokyo and a historic Japanese neighborhood, package theft went from practically zero to a record high in only a few years after Democrats legalized stealing.

Legalizing theft didn’t just hit stores, but led to an epidemic of ‘porch piracy’.
In Los Angeles, brazen criminals took to driving behind delivery trucks and stealing the packages as soon as they were delivered. Others dressed up in Amazon uniforms.

But nowhere was the problem as bad as in the pro-crime metropolis of San Francisco.

Porch piracy has been growing across America alongside the Black Lives Matter riots and the election of Democrat mayors, council members, and prosecutors who support criminals.

In 2018, less than a third of people responding to a survey said that they had been ripped off, but by 2020, the number had shot up all the way to 43%. One survey estimated that porch pirates had been responsible for over $5 billion in thefts in cities across the country.

But San Francisco has topped the nation in package thefts for two years straight.
It’s no coincidence that California, which has led the way in legalizing crime, accounts for three of the top ten cities for porch pirates and that the state ranks third in the nation. But San Francisco has been unique in its tolerance for crime and contempt for crime victims.

Pharmacies have been shutting down across San Francisco due to the shoplifting epidemic, and as the nation’s Big Tech capital turned to online retail, the thieves turned to porch piracy. Big Tech companies have urged homeowners to adopt high tech solutions like doorbell cameras, but recording the thieves is next to useless when nothing happens to them.

One article chronicled a multi-year effort by a socialist union leader, a Google employee, and a lesbian BLM supporter to stop a heroin addict who was repeatedly caught stealing packages. The junkie blamed racism, and refused to show up in court. Police officers came, wrote her tickets, and she went right on stealing. Judges issued bench warrants, and then released her, telling her to report to drug rehab, and she went right back to stealing. While one of her victims was in court waiting for the case to be heard, the thief was stealing packages from his porch.

She was hit with a stay-away order, forced to wear an ankle monitor, and none of it helped.

When a trial finally happened, she was convicted and sent to a drug rehab program. She failed drug tests, refused to show up for hearings, went on stealing packages, and was sentenced to more drug rehab.

And that’s what happens when people spend a lot of time and effort to try and get justice.

San Francisco is both the epicenter of the tech industry and the pro-crime movement. Big Tech donors have fueled the rise of pro-crime prosecutors like George Gascon and Chesa Boudin, even as they have cashed in by selling doorbell cameras and package security systems. But surveillance technologies are useless when there’s no law enforcement to back them up.

A packaging supply company conducted a survey and found that the "four states with the lowest search rates of package theft (Alabama, South Carolina and Arkansas came 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively) were all southern states.” The company concluded that “the south is safer from porch piracy than the north.”

But California isn’t the north. The issue isn’t geography, it’s the law.

A bill to criminalize porch piracy was killed last year. It’s been reintroduced again this year.

"It doesn’t matter how many times somebody steals a package, it’s still only a misdemeanor. And in California right now, a misdemeanor is usually a citation.

People aren’t showing up for their court dates or not paying the misdemeanors, and they just keep on stealing from people’s porches," Senator Brian Jones (R-Santee) noted.

Why shouldn’t porch pirates steal packages when all they come away with is a citation?

As long as the porch pirates steal less than $950 worth of packages, it’s classified as petty theft. The same decriminalization of theft that led to an epidemic of shoplifting, forcing stores and pharmacies to close, has also led to a boom in porch piracy. When brick-and-mortar stores close, that leaves people more dependent on online deliveries and vulnerable to porch pirates.

In an economy dominated by Big Tech, porch piracy, like everything else, has become a weapon in a rivalry between unfathomably huge companies. Netflix CEO Reed Hastings and his radical leftist wife, Patty Quillin, have been some of the biggest pro-crime donors.

The Netflix CEO was the sixth biggest donor for Proposition 47. The Big Tech boss vastly outspent pro-victim donors opposed to legalizing theft. While legalizing theft had little impact on Netflix, whose big product is an online subscription service, it’s hurting Amazon, one of its biggest video streaming competitors. Ordinary Californians are just Netflix’s collateral damage.

Homeowners are turning to locked delivery boxes and rigged packages. A cottage industry of companies provides doorstep security solutions and YouTube is full of guides to rigging up every type of package trap from glitter bombs to fouler concoctions to surprise porch pirates.

But no matter what homeowners do, the rates of porch piracy keep rising because glitter bombs will never be as effective a deterrent as a working criminal justice system.

Proposition 47 hasn’t just hurt stores. The thieves empowered by criminal justice reform have stolen birthday presents, prom dresses, and priceless heirlooms.

They’ve destroyed special days and stolen moments that can never be replaced. And above all else they’ve robbed millions of ordinary people of their sense of security in their own homes.

California’s experiment in legalizing theft has been successful in stealing public safety.

“Learn How to Spot Suspicious Behaviors” – FBI Encourages Americans to Snitch on Their Own Family and Friends

By Cristina Laila
Published July 11, 2021 at 8:56pm
fbi-spy.jpg

Where have we seen this before?

The FBI on Sunday encouraged Americans to snitch on their own family members and friends.

“Family members and peers are often best positioned to witness signs of mobilization to violence. Help prevent homegrown violent extremism. Visit https://go.usa.gov/x6mjf to learn how to spot suspicious behaviors and report them to the #FBI.” the FBI said Sunday.

The FBI outlined suspicious behaviors to watch out for in a 32-page bulletin.

Although the FBI (surprisingly) focused on Islamic terrorism, they described behaviors by other “homegrown extremists” to watch out for.

Based on the FBI’s treatment of Trump supporters who attended the January 6 Capitol protest, it is clear that the feds are also encouraging people to snitch on conservative family members.

For example, the FBI views “retweeting or linking to violent extremists” as suspicious behavior.

Violent extremists = QAnon followers and MAGA grandmas

Most of the behaviors listed below perfectly describe BLM and Antifa terrorists, however, the FBI totally ignores their terrorism and focuses only on MAGA grandmothers.

Biden Regime to Monitor Private Communications, Calls on SMS Carriers to “Dispel Misinformation About Vaccines That is Sent Over Social Media and Text Messages”

By Cristina Laila
Published July 12, 2021 at 2:09pm
APP-012121-Biden-COVID-CORONA-222-1.jpg

The Biden regime is now calling on SMS carriers to “fact-check” text messages in an effort to stop ‘misinformation’ about the Covid-19 vaccine.

Last Tuesday White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said the Biden Administration will be sending goons door-to-door to harass unvaccinated Americans.

Biden confirmed that during his remarks last week and said his admin will focus on communities where vaccination rates are low.

“We need to go community-by-community, neighborhood-by-neighborhood, and oft times door-to-door, literally knocking on doors,” Biden said.

Now the Biden regime and its Democrat allies are going to monitor private communications to “dispel misinformation about vaccines that is sent over social media and text messages.”

Democrat goons are already attacking TPUSA’s Charlie Kirk for his messaging campaign around vaccine efforts.

“Organizations that are feeding misinformation and trying to mischaracterize this type of trusted-messenger work, I believe you are doing a disservice to the country and to the doctors, the faith leaders, community leaders, and others who are working to get people vaccinated, save lives, and help end this pandemic,” WH Covid response coordinator Jeff Zients said at a news conference last week.
Politico reported:
Biden allied groups, including the Democratic National Committee, are also planning to engage fact-checkers more aggressively and work with SMS carriers to dispel misinformation about vaccines that is sent over social media and text messages. The goal is to ensure that people who may have difficulty getting a vaccination because of issues like transportation see those barriers lessened or removed entirely.

“We are steadfastly committed to keeping politics out of the effort to get every American vaccinated so that we can save lives and help our economy further recover,” White House spokesperson Kevin Munoz said. “When we see deliberate efforts to spread misinformation, we view that as an impediment to the country’s public health and will not shy away from calling that out.”

Charlie Kirk, the pro-Trump co-founder of the conservative student organization Turning Point USA, said on Fox last week that he was embarking on a “massive public relations campaign” around vaccination efforts, which he compared it to an “Apartheid-style open air hostage situation.” (Turning Point’s other founder, Bill Montgomery, died last year from coronavirus-related complications.)

Turning Point USA has also sent out SMS messages urging people to sign petitions on the topic. In one message, viewed by POLITICO, Kirk contends, “Biden is sending goons DOOR-TO-DOOR to make you take a Covid-19 vaccine. Sign the petition to: No medical raids in America.”
The rabid left already has complete control over the internet and censors social media posts and blog posts so it was a matter of time until they started censoring text messages.

U.N. humans rights chief calls for global reparations in response to slavery, colonialism

UN chief urges countries to participate in "fully fund comprehensive processes" to address harmful impact African descendants now face.

By Brianna Kraemer
Updated: July 12, 2021 - 4:28pm

United Nations Human Rights chief Michelle Bachelet on Monday urged member states to participate in reparations to address the impact slavery, discrimination and colonial rule have had on black communities worldwide.

Bachelet said countries should "fully fund comprehensive processes" and implement "a wide range of reparations measures" to help African descendants, according to the Associated Press.

Countries should "create, reinforce and fully fund comprehensive processes – with full participation of affected communities – to share the truth about what was done and the harms it continues to inflict," she said.

Bachelet's request follows her report after the May 2020 killing of George Floyd and her urging late last month for countries worldwide to do more to help end discrimination, violence and systemic racism against people of African descent – including through reparations.

The former Chilean president told the U.N. Human Rights Council on Monday that research "could not find a single example of a state that has comprehensively reckoned with its past or accounted for its impacts on the lives of people of African descent today," despite some attempts such as apologies, litigation and memorialization.

"Establishing the truth about these legacies and their impact today, and taking steps to address this harm through a wide range of reparations measures is crucial to healing our societies and providing justice for terrible crimes," Bachelet said. "Measures taken to address the past will transform our future."

The Fourth Branch Of Government Just Exposed Itself

MONDAY, JUL 12, 2021 - 06:00 PM
Authored by Ben Garrison,

Every breath you take,
Every move you make,
They’ll be watching you..

It’s bad enough that none of the alphabet ‘security’ agencies were written into our Constitution. Now they have become politicized. They no longer adhere to any rule of law. They ARE the law and can do what they want. They certainly aren’t answerable to the American people.

We saw former NSA Director James Clapper lie to Congress about collecting data from hundreds of millions of Americans and about leaking the Steele Dossier information. We saw ex-CIA director and former communist John Brennan lie about spying on Congress. Nothing happened to them. They are above the law.

The CIA now allows and approves torture. They call it ‘enhanced interrogation.’ Yep, we a rogue agency engaged in torture.

We saw the FBI push through illegal FISA warrants in order to take down President Trump during the bogus Russia collusion malarky. We saw how Mueller used over a dozen heavily FBI men to surround a peaceful, non-resisting Roger Stone on trumped up charges. The CIA-influenced CNN was, of coursed, tipped off to the early morning raid.

We saw the FBI help encourage Trump supporters to protest at the Capitol while refusing to release video tapes that will prove their operatives were there. The FBI even seized a lego-made capitol building from one of the so-called ‘insurrectionists.’

We saw the FBI sit on Hunter Biden’s laptop. They did nothing. They certainly did not investigate the obvious corruption on display by the Bidens. They also knew all about Epstein’s child abuse for years. They did nothing.

Tucker Carlson told us how the NSA is spying on his email in order find something that could possibly get him kicked off the air. Tucker confirmed what we knew already—Snowden had already told us all about it. Snowden is a whistleblower and hero, but he had to escape prosecution and possible assassination through exile to Russia.

We saw how false flag ‘terrorism’ was used to give the TSA new powers to grope people at the airports.

All of these so-called security agencies have grown in scope and power over the years and, like Big Government, they want more power and influence over the direction of the country. They are aligned with the radical left and globalism.

What’s next? Will we see a Lubyanka prison constructed in Washington D.C.? Will the political enemies of Biden’s regime be whisked off the streets and shoved into cramped cells and then subjected to ‘enhanced interrogation’ until they ‘confess?’ Don’t be surprised if this happens. Don’t be surprised if a network of gulags is also set up. The FEMA camps won’t be about slave labor, though.

They’ll be about the extermination of the security agencies’ political enemies.

JFK wanted to break up the CIA. It’s too bad he was executed by them instead. Allen Dulles was fired by Kennedy, yet he was the leading man on the Warren Commission, which helped cover up the CIA’s crime.

It’s time to break up the CIA for good. Let the military conduct intelligence gathering on foreign countries. Stop trying to subvert other countries. That often leads to blowback and endless war. Break up the FBI too and let individual states assign marshals to fight real crime—not investigate or invent wrong doings against their perceived political enemies. Do away with the NSA for their gross and repeated violations of the law. It’s a felony to read private mail of US citizens. Let the branches of the military monitor foreign enemies and let us Americans have our Fourth Amendment back.

The politicized security agencies will always hide and cower behind the magical phrase, “national security!” They are allowed to know everything about us. We are allowed to know nothing about them. When that happens, people begin to fear the government.

It should be the other way around…and besides, the security agencies are NOT the government and our government is not the country.

Critical Race Theory & The Big Lie Behind It

SUNDAY, JUL 11, 2021 - 10:40 PM
Authored by Mike Shedlock via MishTalk.com,

Let's discuss what Critical Race Theory really is including the big lie behind it all.

What is Critical Race Theory?
The Encyclopaedia Britannica Explains CRT
  • Critical race theory (CRT), intellectual movement and loosely organized framework of legal analysis based on the premise that race is not a natural, biologically grounded feature of physically distinct subgroups of human beings but a socially constructed (culturally invented) category that is used to oppress and exploit people of colour.
  • Critical race theorists hold that the law and legal institutions in the United States are inherently racist insofar as they function to create and maintain social, economic, and political inequalities between whites and nonwhites, especially African Americans.
One would have to be nuts to believe CRT theory should be taught in grade school.

Unfortunately, that's where we are, and embraced by the Biden administration and the Left media.

Donna Brazile, former chairman of the Democratic National Committee, said in a WSJ Op-Ed, Don’t Ban Critical Race Instruction.
"Patriotism requires that we face up to our past, including slavery and racism."
Few would disagree with facing up to slavery. But where is the Civil War and slavery not taught? Anywhere?

We can and should go beyond that. What the US government did to Native Americans including the Trail of Tears is absolutely worthy of discussion.

Woke Culture Hiding Behind Lies
CRT proponents hide behind lies. The lie is that CRT discussion is about history suppression when it's really about indoctrination.

The result is a Woke Culture War embraced by Leftist media.
Two of the country’s important newspapers, the New York Times and the Washington Post, are unashamedly woke. The New Yorker and the Atlantic have ceased to be general-interest magazines and are now specific-interest publications—that interest being the spread of woke ideas. The major television networks early fell in line without a fight.
Universities, in their humanities and social-sciences divisions, are not merely devoted to the propagation of woke ideas but initiate most of them.
Capitalism and Racism are ‘Conjoined Twins’
Critical Race Theorist Ibram X. Kendi says Capitalism and Racism are ‘Conjoined Twins’
Donna Brazile wants critical race theory taught in K-12 schools (“Don’t Ban Critical Race Instruction,” op-ed, July 2). Its contribution to improving race relations is to tell children that the color of their skin determines their destiny, not the content of their character, as Martin Luther King Jr. had it.

White children are to be told they enjoy “white privilege” and oppress their fellow students of color. Consequently, white students must publicly admit to specific advantages they enjoy stemming from their privileged position. The shaming will set them on the road to becoming “antiracists.”

Any disparity in disciplinary actions or enrollments is also ipso facto evidence of implicit racial bias. Ibram X. Kendi, a popular exponent of critical race theory, says capitalism and racism are “conjoined twins” that must be fought together.

Ms. Brazile is doing what many advocates of critical race theory do: Change the subject from critical race theory’s agenda to undermine our culture to the noble-sounding “look honestly at American history—much of it good, but some of it immoral and horrific.”
Culture Wars
Leftist mainstream media is in bed with CRT proponents. They both attempt to pawn this all off as some sort of noble history lesson.

But if you read the definition itself, CRT it is not remotely about history.

It is about a theory that says "race is culturally invented" and "legal institutions in the United States are inherently racist."

That is what CRT proponents want taught because that is the actual theory.

White kids are made to feel inferior simply because they are white.

CRT proponents want those preposterous theories taught to K12 schools (Kindergarten to 12th grade).

Many if not most of those who support CRT do so only because they do not understand that the basis for CRT is a brazen lie.

Political Backlash
Those who see through the lies are infuriated.

I discussed this previously in Critical Race Theory Should Be Banned, and a Black Parent Explains Why Critical Race Theory Should Be Banned, and a Black Parent Explains Why
"Educators use CRT as their own agenda, to indoctrinate the kids to hate each other."

"And who are you to educate my children, or any of our children on life issues? That's our job."

Capitol Police Will Use Military Surveillance Equipment on Citizens to “Identify Emerging Threats”

By Guest Author Julian Conradson

IMG_9745.jpg

Biden’s authoritarian regime is expanding its power at an alarming rate in the aftermath of the January 6th protest.

Last week, after Nancy Pelosi announced that they would be opening ‘state-police’ offices in key regions across the country, the Capitol Hill Police are now being reclassified as “an intelligence-based protective agency.” They will be given access to high-powered US military surveillance equipment that is traditionally used to monitor enemy forces in war zones.

On July 2nd, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin granted the use of 8 ‘Persistent Surveillance Systems Ground – Medium (PSSG-M) units’ to the federal police force. The equipment will be added to the current security infrastructure and be used to help assist “steady-state” missions and monitor US civilian actions to “identify emerging threats.”

The technology was frequently used in Afghanistan and Iraq to gather intelligence on enemies in hostile regions. Now it is being used to spy on and create intelligence profiles of American citizens.

The army will install the units and train USCP officers on how to use them.
Drone-7-12-21-913x479.jpg

Data collected from the PSSG-M units can be used to create “pattern of life” analysis and its extremely high-definition cameras allow it to track hundreds of moving targets in a large area over long periods of time.

The Capitol Police are disclosing very few details on where and how they plan to use the equipment. They said in a press release that they would be sharing data between, and increasing their collaboration with, other law enforcement and intelligence agencies to crack down on dissenters who threaten their narrative.

“USCP leadership has increased intelligence sharing and collaboration between all of our local, state and federal law enforcement partners as well increased our partnership within the intelligence community and Congressional stakeholders.

The Public Information Office is now engaging with the community on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube, as well as increasing the number of news releases to keep the media and local community informed.” –
USPC press release.

It’s clear that the neo-marxists are terrified and they are taking unprecedented steps to ensure citizens can never get close to the untouchables in Washington again, like they did on the 6th. They are using US Intelligence agencies and their resources to suppress information and intimidate free thinking Americans by proactively putting measures in place to protect their power.

It’s almost as-if they are preparing for some shocking revelations.

Let’s confirm what we know they are afraid of, and see the AZ audit report already.

[COMMENT: I wonder if they will deploy these in Nancy's new Capitol Police satellite offices.]

Capitol Police To Use Military Surveillance Equipment In Role As 'Intelligence-Based Protective Agency'

MONDAY, JUL 12, 2021 - 10:20 PM

In response to the January 6 Capitol riot, US Capitol Police will begin employing military surveillance equipment used by the Army in what the Washington Times described as part of "sweeping security upgrades" as the force transforms into "an intelligence-based protective agency."

Lockheed Martin hybrid PSSG airship (read more here)

Upgrades will include eight 'Persistent Surveillance Systems Ground - Medium' (PSSG-M) units, which provide HD surveillance video and includes night vision. According to the Pentagon, it does not include facial recognition.

"This technology will be integrated with existing USCP camera infrastructure, providing greater high definition surveillance capacity to meet steady-state mission requirements and help identify emerging threats," said the Pentagon.
The technology allowed U.S. troops fighting wars in Iraq and Afghanistan to monitor large areas 24/7 through extremely high-resolution cameras.
Some privacy rights advocates have raised concern that Capitol Police are getting into the business of spying on Americans.
In a wartime application, the persistent surveillance units were mounted on tethered blimps. The data could be stored, combined with sensor data from other platforms, and later referenced or rewound to track individuals or groups.

The military could use the system to develop “pattern of life” analyses on suspected enemy combatants or intelligence targets in war zones. It could determine, for example, who was responsible for placing an improvised explosive device. -Washington Times
According to a 2016 Government Accountability Office report, the Department of Homeland Security leased the same, or similar technology through the Department of Defense.

Few details were provided to the Times about the new system - such as how and where it will be deployed, or whether collected data will be stored or disseminated - or whether it will be shared with other agencies.

"Hopefully, you can understand it wouldn’t be smart of us tell the world all our capabilities," a Capitol Police official told the Times.

The Pentagon says the Army will install the units and provide training to the Capitol Police to operate and maintain the system. Once installed, the Army won't have any role in operation.

White House Backs Teachers Unions, CRT Curricula

MONDAY, JUL 12, 2021 - 10:40 PM
Authored by Philip Wegmann via RealClear Politics (emphasis ours),

The Biden administration signaled its support for the teaching of “anti-racism” curriculum in public schools Friday, wading into an ongoing culture war over critical race theory playing out on cable news and in school board meetings across the nation.

Asked about a recent decision by the National Education Association to throw its weight behind controversial progressive teachings about race, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki told RealClearPolitics that President Biden believes “kids should learn about our history” including the view that "there is systemic racism that is still impacting society today."

Psaki continued that the president and the First Lady, who is also a life-long educator, believe that “there are many dark moments, and there is not just slavery and racism in our history.”

“And he believes, as I believe, as a parent of children, that kids should learn about our history. So as a spouse of an educator,” the press secretary added, “he continues to believe that children should learn not just the good, but also the challenging parts of our history, and that's part of what we're talking about here, even as it's become politically charged.”

Almost underscoring Psaki’s point that the issue has become politically charged, an account run by the House Republicans responded on Twitter, “critical race theory is NOT history. It’s an ideological agenda meant to divide us.”

The press secretary’s answer was the clearest expression to date of where the White House comes down in a larger ideological battle over the soul of the nation. Progressives who espouse critical race theory argue that white people should own up to the benefits afforded to them by the systemic racism woven into the fabric of this country’s past and present.'

Conservatives reject that characterization. While agreeing that schoolchildren should learn about slavery and racism, they say that the current approach being pushed by progressive educators goes too far.

In that same vein, Russ Vought, president of Center for Renewing America, told RCP that the White House “can continue to sow confusion,” but that people already know that teaching the theory “is not about learning history, it is indoctrination that America is systemically racist and people should be judged based on the color of their skin, instead of the content of their character."

Vought, who authored former President Trump’s executive order banning CRT in the federal government, argued that Biden had made the theory “the governing paradigm of his administration, insisting on dividing the country based on race.”

The back-and-forth comes as schools across the country prepare to welcome students back to the classroom in person later this summer, and as the nation’s two largest teachers unions vow to support their members teaching of the theory.

At its annual meeting, the National Association of Educators adopted an agenda item stating, “it is reasonable and appropriate for curriculum to be informed by academic frameworks for understanding and interpreting the impact of the past on current society, including critical race theory.”

NEA President Becky Pringle urged teachers to adopt similar teachings in their lesson plans, saying, “If this grand experiment in democracy is to succeed, if the inhabitants of our nation are to prosper, we must continuously do the work to challenge ourselves and others to dismantle the racist interconnected systems and the economic injustices that have perpetuated systemic inequities.”

The NEA along with the American Teachers Federation are preparing legal challenges to state laws stripping such lessons from curricula. At least six states have passed new laws limiting how race can be taught in the classroom, the Associated Press reported, and similar proposals are being considered in more than a dozen others.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signed a bill into law last month that bars schools from teaching students that anyone “should feel discomfort, guilt, anguish or any other form of psychological distress” because of their race or sex. Liberty and equality, the law states, should be taught as “authentic founding principles,” not slavery or racism, according to a majority of Texas lawmakers.

It comes as no surprise that the White House stands with the teachers' unions. On the first full day of the new administration, Dr. Jill Biden hosted a summit to celebrate educators, and just two guests were invited to the White House: the heads of the two largest public teachers unions in the country. “I'm so proud that you are leading the NEA, which as you probably know is my union,” the first lady told Pringle. Weingarten, the leader of the AFT, was described the first lady as “the kind of general who is never far from the front lines.”

She promised that with her husband as president, the unions “will always have a seat at the table.”

“Together, we are going to transform our nation's education system. And when we do that, we will change the course of our future forever,” she added. “And if you ever wonder if it's possible, just remember that the First Lady of the United States is one of your own.”

General Raymond Takes the Space Force to War Against Racism
Another disloyal general puts critical race theory ahead of national security.

Daniel Greenfield

[Editor's note: The article below is a new edition of our Disloyal Military series. To learn about our 3-Part Series on the Disloyal Military, Progressive Fascists and Racist Mayors, CLICK HERE.]

Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is an investigative journalist and writer focusing on the radical Left and Islamic terrorism.

The Space Force was created at the end of 2019. Six months later it declared war on “racism”.

“Racism is an enemy," Gen. John Raymond and Chief Master Sgt. Roger Towberman declared, disabusing anyone who might have thought the military enemy was Communist China, Iran, Russia, or any of the other antagonists that the Space Force was tasked with countering.

While the People's Republic of China was deploying its series of Long March rockets, Black Lives Matter mobs were wrecking American cities and Gen. Raymond was focused on pandering to the racist mob. As China deployed its first Mars mission, and its first reusable spacecraft, and launched communications satellites, the Space Force obsessed over diversity.

"We must build diversity and inclusion into our 'cultural DNA' -- make it one of the bedrock strengths of our service,” Raymond insisted in his co-signed letter to the Space Force.

The Space Force letter falsely claiming that George Floyd's drug overdose death was "against the founding principles of our nation" and that racism is a "reality for many" was rushed out a few days after a Black Lives Matter mob set fire to the White House gatehouse and tried to start a fire in the Church of Presidents. It came out ahead of most service branch statements.

Gen. Raymond, the Chief of Space Operations, told the ‘guardians’ of the Space Force that their oath to protect and defend the Constitution meant racism was "an enemy we must defeat" by fighting unconscious biases and owning the problem by having "uncomfortable conversations." Buzz words like “unconscious bias” and “implicit bias” and “structural racism” (illegal under the 1964 Civil Rights Act) give the ideological game away. When there are no significant racists, the promoters of systemic racism conspiracy theories claim that they’re hiding in the shadows.

The oath to protect the Constitution was being twisted to push the anti-white racism of the left known as critical race theory.

Raymond made no mention of the military’s responsibility to defend the United States government against the brutal assaults of the leftists and racists he was disloyally standing with. When Black Lives Matter mobs were threatening to burn the White House, General Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, refused President Trump’s request for troops to defend the White House.

The Space Force put political correctness out front early on by adopting the genderless term ‘Guardian’ to replace the political incorrectness of the Air Force’s traditional term ‘Airman’. In the wake of the BLM race riots, the Space Force went even further by suggesting that it would not only pursue affirmative action promotions based on skin color and gender rather than merit , but also drop qualifying tests for promotions.

The only qualifications the Space Force was interested in were one’s gender and skin color.

Carrie Baker, the Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer for the Space Force, who had pioneered the Air Force Academy’s first ”unconscious bias” training curriculum, was lecturing once again on the alleged racism that dare not show its face. Major General Leah Lauderback launched a Space Force LGBTQ affinity group focused on cultural change, warning that there are, "hearts and minds that you need to change". But first "gendered language" like "mothers of preschoolers" had to go.

Gen. Raymond described her as a “true inspiration” for leading the “LGBTQ Initiatives Team.”

As the Space Force adopted leftist identity politics, conservatives who spoke out were ruthlessly dealt with. When Lt. Col. Matthew Lohmeier, commander of the 11th Space Warning Squadron, criticised the radicalization of the military in his book, Irresistible Revolution: Marxism's Goal of Conquest & the Unmaking of the American Military, he was quickly removed from his post, where he headed a unit whose vital task was identifying and tracking ballistic missile launches.

Lohmeier described his base commander sending out documentaries which supported Black Lives Matter and attacked President Trump, and spoke of the “intensive teaching that I heard at my base—that at the time the country ratified the United States Constitution, it codified white supremacy as the law of the land.” This was critical race theory Marxism, whose lies were aimed at sapping the morale of America’s military and undermining the determination of its members to defend their country.

After discussing the leftist invasion of the military on a podcast, Lohmeier was removed by Lt. Gen. Stephen Whiting for being "partisan." Whiting had previously complained about the "uneven distribution of opportunity" in the United States (also illegal if such a distribution was institutionally imposed) while calling for more diversity. That was not considered political or partisan. General Raymond’s smear of police officers and allegations of systemic racism were also not seen as partisan. This was part of a larger pattern.

Former Chief of Staff of the Air Force, General Goldfein had faced no consequences for urging that "every American should be outraged" by Floyd's death, and Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force Kaleth Wright was not disciplined for touting socialist rapper and racist Killer Mike as a model.

Rep. Mo Brooks provided other examples of "very public statements made by many senior leaders while in uniform" and warned that "we cannot allow temporary political appointees at the Department of Defense who are ideologically motivated to purge those men and women in uniform who do not agree with the cultural or political fads of the moment."

Unfortunately that is exactly what is taking place.

Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Ramon Colon-Lopez, the most senior enlisted service member and the top adviser to General Milley, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, had told the troops that Black Lives Matter was exempt from the military's apolitical nature. "There were people advocating [against] social injustice, racial injustice and everything else," Colon-Lopez argued, while contending that "we needed to educate" younger troops on the difference.

The difference was that the anti-American, criminally violent Black Lives Matter vigilantes had the support of the top military brass.

Lohmeier's case was assigned to the Air Force's Office of the Inspector General which had also been tasked with producing the controversial report alleging systemic racism in the Air Force.

The investigation into a critic of critical race theory had been handed over to an office whose mission was upholding the false systemic racism premise of critical race theory. To repeat: “systemic racism” was outlawed under the 1964 Civil Rights Act. If it existed there would be a flood of lawsuits and billions of dollars in penalties. There is no such flood because there is no “systemic racism” except in the ideologically twisted minds of leftists and the people they seduce.

Lt. Gen. Sami D. Said, the Inspector General of the Air Force, acted as an advocate, rather than an impartial figure, talking to the Washington Post about the "pent-up angst" of those who "wanted their voices heard" – as though anyone but the military brass itself was seeking to silence anyone on the basis of gender or skin color. Like Nancy Pelosi or some other Democrat Party spokesperson, Said also accused Attorney General William Barr of misusing his authority by trying to defend Washington D.C. against the Black Lives Matter riots.

After the release of Said’s racial disparity report, Gen. Raymond demanded that, “leaders at all levels must commit to having tough conversations, learning about racial disparities”. Again, this was Marxist propaganda. “Racial disparities” is a term of art that obscures individual accountabilities and ascribes them to groups.

Only 20% of black Americans for example live below the poverty line on welfare.

If 80% of blacks are productive citizens, how is the poverty of some a “racial disparity?”

“Accountability begins with us,” he warned, using the jargon of diversity trainers. But accountability for what?

The Space Force’s leadership had decided to become the most radical part of the military through identity politics. Its all-female unit, and its emphasis on the gender, sexual orientation and race of those it was promoting were divisive and undermined readiness, unit cohesion and morale.

In the Space Force and across the military, “diversity and inclusion,” bland terms which concealed the poisonous agendas of Marxist race theory, had become defined as the official mission. And opposition to the new mission of identity politics was swiftly punished no matter how obvious the double standard, or the destructive impact on national security.

Truth was the first casualty, but national security was the second casualty of the war from within.

"It is President Trump's belief that the United States must remain as dominant in space as we are on land and sea and the air," Vice-President Pence had told Gen. Raymond before he took his oath. "And your charge is to see to that mission with the United States Space Force."

"The best way I know how to do that is to do so from a position of strength," Gen. Raymond had assured him.

But there’s little strength to be seen in the Space Force under Raymond’s leadership.

Gen. Raymond has spent far more time pushing the divisive agendas of the diversity Marxists than strength. His wife, Mollie, in her role as the "Official Spouse", encouraged Space Force personnel to take a survey with critical race theory dogma answers such as, "this colorblind mentality erases a piece of my identity" which asked them if they had "advocated to fix issues caused by structural/systemic racism."

For the diversity Marxists in the military, Martin Luther King’s vision of a color blind society is actually racist. Colorblindness was Martin Luther King Jr’s dream. It’s the foundation of meritocracy and a thoroughly integrated and cohesive American community. The alternatives are the racial quotas and perpetual victimhood that the Space Force has embraced.

“We honor equality, while we continue to fight for it every day,” Gen. Raymond had declared, implying that America was still unequal and there was a perpetual war to wage.

Instead of fighting to protect America, the Space Force is fighting America.

While America’s Communist enemies advance in space, the Space Force is busy pushing Marxist dogma here on earth. Under Gen. Raymond, what was once an ambitious America First plan has become mired in identity politics, purging its best and brightest, like Lt. Col. Lohmeier, while turning our national security over to diversity experts. As China continues its long march into space, the Left is carrying on its long racist march through the Space Force.

A Defeat in the Courts for Biden’s Racist ‘Equity’ Policies

Roger L. Simon
Roger L. Simon

July 9, 2021 Updated: July 11, 2021

If you were an Armenian Christian who fled your home to Glendale, California in 1915 to escape a genocide at the hands of the Ottoman Turks that killed roughly 1 million of your countrymen and women, how would you feel about paying reparations for black slavery that ended more than 50 years before you arrived?

Not so good, I would imagine.

The whole concept of so-called reparations in America is mired in such contradictions. Tens of millions of people have migrated to this country from all over the world and are continuing to do so more than a century after slavery ended. Many of these people suffered from onerous—sometimes extremely onerous, even life-threatening—conditions of their own.

Yet, the Biden administration—under, among other things, the meretricious mask of something called “equity,” as opposed to “equality”—is asking millions of our fellow citizens to pay for an acknowledged evil, slavery, in which they didn’t remotely participate.

President Biden and his people relentlessly pursue this “equity”—essentially a euphemism for reparations—largely for political reasons, further dividing the races in our society in a calculated manner and nurturing a grievance culture without end. Gandhi’s “An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind” means nothing to them.

One particularly egregious way in which they were doing it was through a recently enacted program of forgiving loans for farmers based on the color of their skin.

It always sounded unconstitutional—besides being unremittingly racist—and it turned out that on July 8, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee declared it to be so.

“The case was brought by Southeastern Legal Foundation (SLF) and Mountain States Legal Foundation (MSLF) on behalf of Rob Holman, a farmer from Union City, [Tennessee], whose family had been farming the same land in Obion County for generations,” according to SLF’s website.

SLF Director of Litigation Braden H. Boucek had this to say regarding the case: “Today’s victory again proves that the Constitution does not allow the government to treat its citizens differently based on their skin color. State-sanctioned discrimination is wrong and unconstitutional. Race preferences cannot be allowed to rise again under the name of equity. The Constitution is strong and has held again in the face of yet another challenge to its guarantee of equality under the law and the self-evident truth that all men are created equal.”

How old-fashioned—and correct—of Boucek!

Perhaps the administration should have dressed up their racism, as they have before, under a more high-toned, pseudo-intellectual name such as “critical agriculture theory.”

Since during the election, really, they’ve lied to us and to themselves constantly about race, either swallowing critical race theory whole or not commenting on the racism inherent in it to give themselves deniability from ultimate evil.

The roots of this behavior go way back, further back even than the obvious Obama administration and into an exploitation of black people inherent in the Democratic Party since Lyndon Johnson and well before when they could be overtly racist.

We find this playing out in our time in an extreme though covert manner.

Whether Biden is stupid (doesn’t understand the implications of what he does) or is senile is moot. Those around him understand. They see race as the royal road to power. Nothing could be more reprehensible, more retrograde, and more dangerous for the future of our country. They should be opposed at all costs.

Bravo to the Southeastern Legal Foundation.

The ESG Threat

TUESDAY, JUL 13, 2021 - 02:25 PM
Via BattleSwarmBlog.com,

Once upon a time, lefty sorts could put their money where their mouth was by “socially responsible investing.”
Individuals and institutions were allowed to choose to align their investments with their values.

They could sleep at night knowing that their capital was not supporting causes with which they disagreed, morally or politically.

The only cost associated with this socially conscious undertaking was a hit to investment returns, which was inevitable but was accepted voluntarily as the price of peace of mind.

But these days, that’s simply not enough for the Big Sisters of Social Justice Warriorhood.

Why make something voluntary when they can force it down your throat?
Hence the push for Environmental Social Governance (ESG), a backdoor way to impose far-left values on corporations without having to deal with shareholders at all.
  • Environmental, social and governance (ESG) is the biggest trend in finance and business. Index funds focused on sustainability oversee $250 billion of assets. Corporate leaders signaled their alignment with ESG when more than 180 CEOs signed the Business Roundtable statement on business purpose.
  • In contrast to the older ethical investment movement, which accepted that morally constrained investment strategies incur costs, ESG proponents claim that investors following ESG precepts earn higher risk-adjusted returns because companies with high ESG scores are lower-risk. Thus, their stock price will outperform, whereas those firms with low ESG scores are higher-risk, leading them to underperform.
  • This supposition conflicts with finance theory. Once lower risk is incorporated into a higher stock price, the stock will be more highly valued, but investors will have to be satisfied with lower expected returns. Unsurprisingly, claims of ESG outperformance are contradicted by studies.
  • Claims that ESG-favored stocks outperformed during the Covid-19 market meltdown disappear once other determinants of stock performance are controlled for. ESG factors were negatively associated with stock performance during the market recovery phase in the second quarter of 2020.
  • The corollary of the ESG thesis—that low-ESG-rated “sin stocks” are condemned to underperform the stock market—is decisively refuted by the data. When institutional investors “went underweight” by selling down their holdings in tobacco stocks, it made them cheaper for other investors to buy and make money, especially when they subsequently outperformed the market.
  • The profit opportunities that ESG creates for Wall Street, however, are clear. BlackRock charges 46 cents annually for every $100 invested in its iShares Global Clean Energy ETF and just 4 cents for its iShares fund linked to the S&P 500.
  • The Trump Department of Labor’s controversial rule on ESG in corporate retirement plans became final in October 2020. In effect, the rule calls Wall Street’s ESG bluff: “You claim ESG investing boosts investment returns net of costs; Show us on the basis of generally accepted investment theories.” Rather than use the Congressional Review Act to nullify this rule, the Biden Department of Labor says it won’t enforce it.
  • ESG is supposedly about the objective assessment of investment risk. The stated purpose of the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), a body supported and funded by Michael Bloomberg, is to provide a disclosure regime that better enables investors to assess risk, climate risk being a major one.
  • At the same time, the SASB aims to harness the power of capital markets for political ends. Just as the Covid pandemic was sweeping the globe, Bloomberg declared climate change the biggest threat to America and the world. “How do you replace dirty energy?” he asks. “Stop rewarding companies from making it.” ESG thus becomes politics pursued by other means.
  • Climate risk is primarily about the potential costs of future climate regulation, but the cookie-cutter climate disclosures required by ESG standard-setters are systematically misleading because they treat the world as a homogenous regulatory space. Climate regulations are made by states and vary from the stringent and unachievable in parts of Europe to the virtually nonexistent in many other parts of the world.
  • Requiring corporations to bind themselves to unilateral greenhouse-gas targets imposes a penalty in competing against companies less beholden to ESG ratings (the unlevel playing field). Forcing corporations to lose market share and shrink their operations constitutes a covert form of divestment. Shareholders lose for no climate gain.
  • Regulation by governments is not only more efficient but also possesses democratic legitimacy. Proponents claim that ESG is necessary to achieve inclusive capitalism, but political power wielded by a handful of billionaire Wall Street oligarchs provides a pretty good definition of insider capitalism.
  • The weaponization of finance by billionaire climate activists, foundations, and NGOs threatens to end capitalism as we know it by degrading its ability to function as an economic system that generates higher living standards. This usurpation of the political prerogatives of democratic government invites a populist backlash.
The Real Clear Foundation report leans heavily on the environmental end of things, but ESG also has a strong Social Justice component, as this clip from Joe Rogan’s interview of VJ/Podcaster Adam Curry discusses:

View: https://youtu.be/F0YckbR8QVw
11:15 min

ESG is yet another attempt to impose top-down wokeness by subterfuge on people and institutions that would never voluntarily agree to it.

‘Ethnic Studies’ gold rush hits California…

Consultants to pocket millions from new curriculum

High-school students in California could soon be required to take at least one semester of something called “ethnic studies” to graduate. The California Senate Education Committee holds hearings this week on Assembly Bill 101, which passed the lower house 58-9 in May. If A.B. 101 becomes law, it will line the pockets of a waiting diversity industry with hundreds of millions of dollars of taxpayer funds, as well as federal coronavirus relief money.

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, Congress passed the Cares Act in March 2020. The legislation provided $2.2 trillion of financial assistance to individuals, businesses and state institutions. Of that $2.2 trillion, $16.2 billion was set aside for primary and secondary education. The California Education Department received $2 billion.

These funds were intended to cover a variety of difficulties caused by pandemic-related budget shortfalls. The U.S. Department of Education recommended that the money be used to prevent teacher layoffs, preserve mental-health programs, and improve school ventilation. But the feds also urged state education departments to use the money to “advance equity” given the “disproportionate impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on communities of color.” This opened the door for California to spend its federal windfall in a way that most Americans would likely find reprehensible.

Sacramento lawmakers passed a bill in 2016 requiring the state Board of Education to create a model curriculum in ethnic studies and recommend that each district make the curriculum required learning for grades 9-12 beginning in the 2021-22 school year. The first draft of the ethnic studies model curriculum, or ESMC, provoked a public outcry when it was published in August 2019. While the bill stipulated that the model curriculum should prepare students to appreciate the contributions of all cultures, it contained significant anti-Semitic sentiment, such as a poem insinuating that Jews control the media. The proposed curriculum even went so far as to endorse the boycott, divestment, and sanctions movement, an anti-Israel lobby.

The state Board of Education produced a new version of the model curriculum. It removed the outright anti-Semitism, but added explicit references to critical race theory and neo-Marxism. The introduction of the new curriculum states that ethnic studies is “housed in the conceptual model of the ‘double helix’ which interweaves holistic humanization and critical consciousness.” In a footnote, the idea of “holistic humanization” is tied to the work of Tara J. Yosso, a widely cited critical race theorist. “Critical consciousness” refers to Paulo Freire’s theory that people must become aware and critical of oppressors (mainly white males) to bring about a Marxist revolution.

The 11-member state Board of Education voted unanimously in March to adopt the model curriculum. In June the Hayward Unified School District became the first in the state to adopt the curriculum officially, promising in a press release that it “will be informed by and include Critical Race Theory.” San Diego Unified School District is expected to approve a similar plan later this summer.

The new ethnic studies curriculum requires significant amounts of money to implement. Hayward is a relatively small district, but its plan for implementing ethnic studies next year will require $40 million to cover recruiting, training and materials. Further, several of the authors of the original, anti-Semitic ESMC created a for-profit consulting firm called the Liberated Ethnic Studies Model Curriculum Institute, or LESMC. The Salinas Union High School District recently hired the LESMC-affiliated consultant R. Tolteka Cuauhtin to provide professional development (at the rate of $1,500 an hour) for teachers to help implement ethnic studies as a graduation requirement. The California Teachers Association, the largest teachers union in the state, has praised the “positive benefits” of ethnic studies and urges educators to teach the curriculum with “a strength-based mindset.”

Gov. Gavin Newsom’s “California Roars Back” plan is a $100 billion initiative to “reimagine public schools.” It includes $3 billion for community schools, which join with outside groups to offer additional services; $4 billion for behavioral health, which will naturally include problems accruing from systemic racism; and $2.6 billion for “research-tested interventions,” such as “high-dose tutoring,” presumably from board-approved organizations like the LESMC Institute.

All these initiatives provide openings for race activists to be hired as consultants. The LESMC Institute has already established itself as the foremost ethnic studies consulting firm in the state. Because the Cares Act guidance included the ability to use funds to “advance equity,” paying such consultants (who are truly activists) falls squarely within the bounds of acceptable use.

President Biden’s American Rescue Plan set aside an additional $122 billion to be distributed to state education departments this year. If California receives funding in line with what it got from the Cares Act, state education bureaucrats should expect more than $15 billion toward implementing the new programs. The federal “equity” stipulations virtually assure much of it will be used for the new ethnic studies programs. And because of the profound influence of the LESMC Institute, taxpayer money will be paid to Marxist activists intent on making white students (as young as kindergartners) confront their “white supremacy.”

Adding to the concern is the lack of transparency in California school budgets. For years, education advocacy groups have been petitioning the California Legislature to develop an online portal to observe educational fund usage. Yet even with strong public support and nearly $500,000 set aside in the 2020-21 state budget to create such a portal, progress on the project has stalled.

This lack of transparency plagued the state Education Department throughout the pandemic school year. As California received billions in relief funds, constituents were left with few options for easily observing state education activities. According to a coalition of student advocacy organizations, the “2020-21 school year has become synonymous with lack of fiscal transparency and accountability.” With billions more on the way, that lack of transparency becomes all the more concerning.

Taxpayer dollars shouldn’t be used to fund courses that are fundamentally racist and anti-American. California’s parents deserve to know what is happening in their districts, and Americans deserve to know how their money is being spent.
