ACM 's 2018 National Conference was held in the context of the alternative government’s obsessive determination to change Australia into a republic through a series of at least two plebiscites, a convention and then a referendum, an application of the principle reportedly favoured by Eurocrats, “The people must keep on voting until you get it right”. ACM is the only organisation in this debate which, concentrating as it does on sound principle and consistency, has held a national conference in every year since the referendum.
The keynote speech yet again featured an aspect of the Constitution which needs attention, unlike the Australian Crown. This is an interpretation of the constitution acts as a barrier to the drought proofing of the continent. In addition, another keynote address will be on the sovereignty of the nation and the role of the Crown in that state.
