“Clause 39 of the Magna Carta is one of four clauses still enshrined in UK common law, a so-called ‘golden passage’, that states: ‘No free man is to be arrested, or imprisoned, or in any other way ruined, except by the lawful judgement of his peers or by the law of the land.”

“Contrast that with civil law as it stands in 2024, where corporations are buying private laws in the form of injunctions that circumvent the people’s rights to a trial by jury for speaking out against the crimes of oil companies.”

Glued their hands together. Hmmm. Hope they were smart enough to go to the bathroom BEFORE they glued their hands together.
And oh, by the way, their ages put them in the Silent Generation NOT Boomers who were born in 1946 and beyond.

Start by taking names addresses of people that want this and work out a system that will keep them from buying any products made from oil for the next two years. Yes denied the sale of all products made from oil.
Now some of these people will die as a result of this but to bad they want this so badly, then so be it along with all the bad things that can happen to them.

Where were the guards? They have no security guards in the museum where the Magna Carta is housed?!?

You should SEE the security in DC where our Constitution and Declaration of Independence are viewed.

OK this is really beginning to bother me. Boomers were born between 1948 and 1964/1965. Those were boom years for having children, esp. after WWII. There was a huge surge in family creation and home building - hence Boom years. In my opinion, the real Boomers were all born in the 1950's but I won't quibble. That means the oldest a person could be and still be a boomer is 76.
These people are in their 80's! They are part of the hippie/flower children generation - don't know their name. They were war babies and if you'll look back, most of the musician/activists of the 60's were born in that time. These people are the same trouble making radicals they were in the 1960's. They are not Boomers!

Go ahead FOAFO. Get rid of oil and see how naked you will eventually get if you live long enough.
I had one of the anti oil people question me in the airport once. Fortunately she was open minded with the ability to think and reason and after I explained to her how no oil would affect modern day life in about a 45 minute detailed conversation she had a whole new view on oil. With a little education she realized that every facet of modern life past sticks stones, animal skins and extracting resources from the ground by hand starts in a oil well.

I am a boomer...but most likely not even close to the earliest boomer....I was born in December of 1946.
My Dad was in ROTC.. from VPI...he an Army Engineer and was called up before Pearl Harbor..in early November of 1941..

He was in the US training troops....he then worked on the most efficient way to the ships to stage the equipment in England for the D-Day invasion

He then went to England to await the invasion...he was attached to General Patton's 3rd Army...as engineer he built the bridge over the Rhine River and then went with Patton's army into Germany...
After Germany fell most of the US troops were returned to the states and most returned to civilian life..
My Dad.. didn't return...he was then sent to the Philippines to build air strips .. because we were still at war with Japan
He there until the end of the war... came home in January of 1946.. married Mom and I was born in December of 1946.
When I was growing up there were a lot of boomers even a year ahead of me in school...I will be 78 this year..
There some soldiers stayed in Germany as part of the reduced forces there... as Germany and Berlin were divided into zones ... so some returned to the states later than my dad....
The second group included in the boomers were the kids of the men who fought in Korea...again some stayed longer than others because of the divided country and some again were much later coming home...
Not all the soldiers were married when went they got back..some didn't marry and have kids for several years after the end of the Korean conflict...

My presumption was on their hair style looking to be of the nun variety, and their cause being so liberal. Thanks for the incite. How are the pups, by now somewhat grown and on another liter?

Who cares what these old-fogies think about our wonderful petroleum fueled world.

If they're this motivated and care so much, they should consider helping other seniors that need support with daily living challenges.

I truly enjoy my natural gas heat, electricity, and gasoline.
