POL Joe Biden's royal protocol breach: US President broke rules by revealing Queen asked him about Putin and Xi Jinping

Did anyone notice how Jill was standing, with her hands "Glued" to her skirt? And her feet were apart in a non-ladylike position? Picky, I know, but she looked stupid and awkward and classless, as if she was way over her head. Did anyone tell her we are not the subjects of the Queen? There is protocol, which is fine and appropriate, but both act like they have no idea how to respectfully represent the U.S.

Edited to add: Rant not over. And when it is appropriate for a President of the US to say he'll be in trouble with his staff (twice) during an international press conference because he didn't call on the reporters like he was told to by his staff!
:bhd: :bhd: :bhd:

Maybe she hasn’t had much practice keeping them together. :shr:

I don't think she's even wearing hose.
No, it appears she's not... and that is inappropriate as hell for her age, position and the event she was participating in. Good grief! Teens can get away with bare, tanned legs. Older women whose legs aren't showing the common cosmetic issues most get when they age can get away with it wearing a sundress or other casual wear.

A woman in her 70s, wearing a suit at an uber-formal occasion should be wearing hose! It's difficult for me to understand how she can be that clueless...I mean, ok, she looks in the mirror and says, "oh, yeah! Hot!", she still should have SOMEONE either on her staff or in the State Department who could either gently guide her or overrule her choices if she really IS utterly clueless about appropriate wardrobe choices.

Actually, the Queen looked fabulous and fashionable for the season - even at 94. And she's quite short.
Well, you've got me there, Sacajawea. OTOH, would JiB have looked as good in the outfit the queen was wearing? For me, no. So, maybe it's not just the height?! ...or lack of, in this case. :-)

"A band-aid under her stockings." Yep, not cool. Any number of things such as tick antifreeze, superglue would have covered or sealed any blood leakage from a razor bite or thorn scratch. Loctite Precision is your best friend.

The Daily Mail and the British press can go pound sand. While I cannot stand Joe Biden, he is not the queen's subject and is not bound by "Royal" protocol. Diplomatic protocol is different and even then it is a minor faux pax.

100% correct!

Uh, we fought, and won, a war about 240 years ago for just that reason…so that no US citizen should ever have to bow to any king or queen - especially of the UK.

Several years ago, some moron Hollywood types visited the queen and when they met her, they all bowed or curtsied!

The British protocol liaison told them, “Um, you’re not her majesty’s subjects, you’re Americans, you don’t bow.”

The Hollywood retards said, “Oh, we don’t mind!”

So, piss on all the dead revolutionary war dead, wounded, and veterans …I guess!
