Just pulling off a batch and thought I'd share it.
This is a recipe that has evolved over time.
It's not "hot", but has a subtle bite that grows on you.
I don't know about sourcing Candied Jalepenos, we made some awhile back....a good project in itself.
Ingredients:
1.5c Soy sauce
2/3c Woozie sauce
1Tbs Garlic powder
1Tbs Onion powder
3Tbs Molasses
1.5Tbs Black pepper, coarse ground.
2Tbs Candied japs, minced fine. I usually put a smidgee bit more.
This will easily do a 5-7lb roast, cut 1/4" thick. Any more and I'd increase the batch.
I soak for 12hrs or so, turning occasionally.
My dehydrator takes about 4.5hrs at 150F to do a 5lb batch. Time will increase with more product.
