COMM Is Anyone Having Problems with Internet or Websites Loading?

For a few hours I'm having issues with websites loading and even TB2K I'm having problems like once I'm in and click on a thread the page will take a while to load and only part of the thread/page will load. :shr:
Even YouTube and Weather Service will not fully load.
Could there be a DOS attack going on with the eastern side of the county?

You getting your internet through the phone company here? They may be having issues

I have satellite and I'm not having any problems at all

Everything is fine for me now, but earlier I was having issues. Figured out it was a DNS lookup issue from one of the secure DNS services. Switched to a different host, and it started working again.

Yes, Western Oregon, but then the phone company has been here Friday and again today. Today the tech spent over three hours tracking down problems, plural. It's a combination of bad equipment/lines on their side (all the techs gripe about it) and a house problem that will be a b....ch to fix properly. Century Link.

Been having issues since last week with Metro PCS.

Had a call to a phone number in this area (my phone number is from a different area in the State).

I get a female voice spewing Spanish to me right off the bat. My Spanish is next to none, but the voice switched to English and told me my phone call couldn't be made in the Country as dialed.

I checked the number because I have been sick and off a bit. Thought it was me, but no.

Tried again and got the same message.

Gave it one more try and the call went through just fine.

Had trouble the last few days with websites not loading and the Internet was in and out (Metro PCS again).

Figured it was either activity from the sun or hackers hacking.

I intensely miss having a landline.

Every once in a while I get a page at TB2K that won't load. "Page Not Available" will be the message with a "try again" button. Trying again does nothing.

I googled "page won't load." The google answer was to temporarily (or perhaps more permanently) "disable" ad-blocker software. As in three bars in the upper RH corner of the screen, click add-on and themes, find switches to disable (in my case) "Ad-Blocker" and "Ad-Blocker Plus."

This seemingly allowed the not available page to be seen.

I can't say I've seen more ads since the switches were turned off.

Yes. For the last few days, multiple sites say can't reach server, try again, and then they come online.

Yep. AT&T cellular Home base with WIFI. Constantly being throttled. I heard a rumor about Comcast bringing fiberoptic cable through soon anyway. Complaining to AT&T shows their apathy. I can wait.

Yep, lots of pauses in live streams and videos and lots of changing the channels without any apparent cause.

Annoying.

We're in Mid Town Memphis and had ATT/Direct; well more accurately we paid for ATT/Direct but service was never good or reliable. I think it was mostly infrastructure.

Been with Xfinity for almost 3 years now and there are the odd issues but usually weather related of some fool took out a distribution box.

I was having this exact issue on an older ipad so I thought maybe it was a memory issue and when I went into settings to clean the memory on my browser (Safari), I noticed that jscript was set to on, instead of off, where I usually leave it. I turned it off - and the problem went away. Everything is back to normal.

So if you have javascript activated, turn it off and see if the problem resolves.
