PLAY Introverts vs Extroverts

According to the folks who took the test and replied on that thread, roughly 42% of TB members are INTJ. “In the wild”, the percentage is about 2%. That’s why I keep joking about people here “INTJ’ing it.”
Do you have a female INTJ percentage?

I'm actually an INFP (Introverted Feeling with Extraverted Intuition). I know MANY here at tb2k are INTJ. Remember that thread a few years ago when alot of us were taking the test and posting the results?
Just decided to go retake the test since it's been a long time since I did it at work.

INFP-A

Wowsers! I think I was an INTJ before, but like I said, it's been a long time since the last test.

INTJ here as well. Funny thing, I decided to step out of my shell and sign up for a volunteering job providing my sales, marketing, and admin expertise to a prominent Christian charity in our area. Talked to the head honcho a couple of months ago, who was eager to have me jump aboard. Now, obviously, all that has changed and all plans have been put on hold. Is it sad that I'm relieved? LOL Probably. But I'm content being a homebody. Give me a pair of earbuds, a good audiobook, and my garden and I could ride this thing out for years with no regrets.

It's hard to balance that Christian "shining your light" thing with an INTJ personality. I'm always a work in progress...

INTJs are the single most “analytical” personality type. While many of them do have a sense of humor, often SUBTLE humor goes right past them.

The thing I can't understand about extroverts is how they can sit around a table and blab for three+ hours with absolutely no purpose in their conversations. It's as if they need to squeeze air past their vocal chords while letting their lips flap in the resulting breeze for the sake of exercise or because it gives them a good feeling. And they think introverts are weird ?

Interesting.

I'm an INTJ and analytical (a trait my wife hates) subtle humor is one of my strengths (another trait my wife hates) - it keeps me in continual trouble.

More a fan of twisted, sly, cynical, gallows humor. And I don't care if anybody else laughs. The usual just doesn't amuse much and is often ignored.

I keep testing as INTJ too, it aint that i don't "have" feelings, it's that I refuse to be RULED by them- I'm as leery of someone who can't function emotionally as I am one who cannot reason, or who makes the choice to to abdicate reason as the ruling arbitrar of their behavior. Lord save us from the prayful emoting do gooder! Humor. I think everything is funny. I'm kinda irreverent that way, though. Just make sure your eyes twinkle when you pull out the really dry stuff, or I might mistake it, cause, I am INTJ and short. Most things fly right over my head, or get read 180 degrees from how they're intended, if I'm not in the zone. :jstr:

You just described my sister in law and to a T! I asked my brother how he dealt with all of the noise at home and he said he locks himself in his bedroom with his earphones on to watch whatever on TV.

I do the same now, but in the living room. As the only guy (male) in the house I learned this simple survival strategy years ago.

The number of INTJ women here is amazing. No specific stats, but a lot of them “came out of the closet” on the INTJ poll thread from a few years ago.

Not really that amazing if you consider non-INTJ women would likely be progressives and wouldn't ever join, or if they did wouldn't last a month.
