The big questions I have is does the food contain any canola oil or "evaporated cane juice" or any of its other variations? Is the baking powder in the pancake mix aluminum based? How much does one pail weigh? How many can be safely stacked? Is the bucket itself "food grade" so that it might be reused to hold harvested grains?

Great questions, The mix does not contain aluminum, and there are no canola oils or "evaporated cane juice" or any variations of it. It weights 38 lbs, and it is recommended to stack up to 4.
Also, the bucket is food grade.

This pail is definitely a good alternative to most if not all food storage on the market.
