INTL India: Is this a joke? Underwater helicopters.

mzkitty

I give up.
Why would you search, “underwater helicopters” ?

Do you need more morning chores to soak up a little more of that pesky spare time ?

:xpmp:

Did you even read what the Indian guy posted? How the hell do I know what different militaries have these days?

After all, just think of all the UFO's people ascribe to being military secret projects.

Don't bug me, um-kay?

Uh, no.

1) Helicopters use airbreathing engines just like everything else
2) The craft in that picture is not an Apache
3) Pangong lake doesn't have water that clear
4) The LONGBOW is a radar, not sonar.

Someone just posted this to wind up gullible people.

Indian April Fools Day or sumpin' - fairly intelligent for a joke though.

I've been to India. It's a cesspool, the bodies of water doubly-so. It would be brown, murky, be clogged with toilet paper and stink like curry. That picture isn't from India, that's for sure.

Even if this were technically possible -- engines that run underwater and in the air, etc.... a helicopter with those gigantic blades will present a very easily found and extremely loud noise signature. It wouldn't last 30 seconds with a sub nearby.

Not really. There’s a reason that underwater vehicles use small propellor blades to move through the water. The density of water prohibits long blades from operating. Additionally, helicopter blades LIFT an aircraft against gravity. Underwater vehicles use planed surfaces and ballast to move vertically.

Thus, the story about underwater helicopters is a patent falsehood.

Pangong lake isn't like the tankipanis or small rivers in the towns.

For one thing, it's high in the Himalayas, and far from towns.

For another, it certainly wouldn't be clogged with toilet paper.

Flying manatees?

Are you attributing super powers to Stacy Abrams? I believe you may have read that in the WaPo slobbering, fawning piece on her manateeness.

Jeff B.

When she gets to be president you will be sorry you posted that
She gonna comes and gets you
