Imprecatory Psalm 59

To the choirmaster: according to Do Not Destroy. A Miktam of David, when Saul sent men to watch his house in order to kill him.

1 Deliver me from my enemies, O my God;

protect me from those who rise up against me;

2 deliver me from those who work evil,

and save me from bloodthirsty men.

3 For behold, they lie in wait for my life;

fierce men stir up strife against me.

For no transgression or sin of mine, O Lord,

4 for no fault of mine, they run and make ready.

Awake, come to meet me, and see!

5 You, Lord God of hosts, are God of Israel.

Rouse yourself to punish all the nations;

spare none of those who treacherously plot evil. Selah

6 Each evening they come back,

howling like dogs

and prowling about the city.

7 There they are, bellowing with their mouths

with swords in their lips—

for “Who,” they think, “will hear us?”

8 But you, O Lord, laugh at them;

you hold all the nations in derision.

9 O my Strength, I will watch for you,

for you, O God, are my fortress.

10 My God in his steadfast love will meet me;

God will let me look in triumph on my enemies.

11 Kill them not, lest my people forget;

make them totter by your power and bring them down,

O Lord, our shield!

12 For the sin of their mouths, the words of their lips,

let them be trapped in their pride.

For the cursing and lies that they utter,

13 consume them in wrath;

consume them till they are no more,

that they may know that God rules over Jacob

to the ends of the earth. Selah

14 Each evening they come back,

howling like dogs

and prowling about the city.

15 They wander about for food

and growl if they do not get their fill.

16 But I will sing of your strength;

I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning.

For you have been to me a fortress

and a refuge in the day of my distress.

I watched a 2014 prophecy on YouTube from Kim Clement about Donald Trump.

He said in the prophecy that God said Trump was like David. I hadn't remembered that until recently when it seems the entire world is against him.

Definite amen on the psalm; it certainly looks like the world today.

Going to be hard to believe that Kim Clement turned out to be a false prophet if Biden ends up in the job, though. Him and Mark Taylor and all the rest who called for two terms of Trump.

There are many more than just those, but I know what you mean. There are so many books written and so much online and rightly or wrongly (it's not that I can't learn from someone) but I don't want a lot of what somebody else heard in their prayer closet, I want what I heard in my own.
That said I am standing and believing for four more years.

Hence the "and the rest". I'd be here all morning if I tried to list them. YouTube is SWIMMING in prophets saying four more years of Trump.

Psalm 2

1 Why do the nations conspire[a]
and the peoples plot in vain?

2 The kings of the earth rise up
and the rulers band together
against the Lord and against his anointed, saying,

3 “Let us break their chains
and throw off their shackles.”

4 The One enthroned in heaven laughs;
the Lord scoffs at them.

5 He rebukes them in his anger
and terrifies them in his wrath, saying,

6 “I have installed my king
on Zion, my holy mountain.”

7 I will proclaim the Lord’s decree:
He said to me, “You are my son;
today I have become your father.

8 Ask me,
and I will make the nations your inheritance,
the ends of the earth your possession.

9 You will break them with a rod of iron[b];
you will dash them to pieces like pottery.”

10 Therefore, you kings, be wise;
be warned, you rulers of the earth.

11 Serve the Lord with fear
and celebrate his rule with trembling.

12 Kiss his son, or he will be angry
and your way will lead to your destruction,
for his wrath can flare up in a moment.
Blessed are all who take refuge in him.

Although our nation is in great turmoil right now, I find great comfort and peace in God's Word of Truth. He knows that thoughts that He thinks toward us, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give us a future and a hope. Remember when He sent Israel into captivity, how they were told to seek the peace of the city where He had caused them to be carried away, and to pray to Him for that peace. That is the same peace spoken of in Phil 4:6-7 where we are told to "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." The next verse (8) turns our attention to how we might take every thought captive, showing us a better way of thinking when it is written, "Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, it there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy, meditate on these things."

There is a fateful end to the wickedness that is being played out before us. I find it soothing to pray through Psalm 37 and Psalm 73; both of which remind me that the battle is not our own. Though evildoers may plot against us and seemingly prosper, God laughs at them; for He sees their end. May His people continue to trust in Him and do good. Let us delight in Him, and commit our ways to the One Who gives us rest when we are weary; and wait patiently for Him to act in accordance to His sovereign will. If your heart is overwhelmed within, may you be led to the Rock that is higher than all.

Psalm 9

I Will Recount Your Wonderful Deeds

[a] To the choirmaster: according to Muth-labben.[b] A Psalm of David.

1 I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart;
I will recount all of your wonderful deeds.

2 I will be glad and exult in you;
I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.

3 When my enemies turn back,
they stumble and perish before[c] your presence.

4 For you have maintained my just cause;
you have sat on the throne, giving righteous judgment.

5 You have rebuked the nations; you have made the wicked perish;
you have blotted out their name forever and ever.

6 The enemy came to an end in everlasting ruins;
their cities you rooted out;
the very memory of them has perished.

7 But the Lord sits enthroned forever;
he has established his throne for justice,

8 and he judges the world with righteousness;
he judges the peoples with uprightness.

9 The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed,
a stronghold in times of trouble.

10 And those who know your name put their trust in you,
for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.

11 Sing praises to the Lord, who sits enthroned in Zion!
Tell among the peoples his deeds!

12 For he who avenges blood is mindful of them;
he does not forget the cry of the afflicted.

13 Be gracious to me, O Lord!
See my affliction from those who hate me,
O you who lift me up from the gates of death,

14 that I may recount all your praises,
that in the gates of the daughter of Zion
I may rejoice in your salvation.

15 The nations have sunk in the pit that they made;
in the net that they hid, their own foot has been caught.

16 The Lord has made himself known; he has executed judgment;
the wicked are snared in the work of their own hands. Higgaion.[d] Selah

17 The wicked shall return to Sheol,
all the nations that forget God.

18 For the needy shall not always be forgotten,
and the hope of the poor shall not perish forever.

19 Arise, O Lord! Let not man prevail;
let the nations be judged before you!

20 Put them in fear, O Lord!
Let the nations know that they are but men! Selah

Proverbs 3
Trust in the Lord with All Your Heart

1 My son, do not forget my teaching,
but let your heart keep my commandments,

2 for length of days and years of life
and peace they will add to you.

3 Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you;
bind them around your neck;
write them on the tablet of your heart.

4 So you will find favor and good success[a]
in the sight of God and man.

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.

6 In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.

7 Be not wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.

8 It will be healing to your flesh[b]
and refreshment[c] to your bones.

9 Honor the Lord with your wealth
and with the firstfruits of all your produce;

10 then your barns will be filled with plenty,
and your vats will be bursting with wine.

11 My son, do not despise the Lord's discipline
or be weary of his reproof,

12 for the Lord reproves him whom he loves,
as a father the son in whom he delights.
Blessed Is the One Who Finds Wisdom

13 Blessed is the one who finds wisdom,
and the one who gets understanding,

14 for the gain from her is better than gain from silver
and her profit better than gold.

15 She is more precious than jewels,
and nothing you desire can compare with her.

16 Long life is in her right hand;
in her left hand are riches and honor.

17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness,
and all her paths are peace.

18 She is a tree of life to those who lay hold of her;
those who hold her fast are called blessed.

19 The Lord by wisdom founded the earth;
by understanding he established the heavens;

20 by his knowledge the deeps broke open,
and the clouds drop down the dew.

21 My son, do not lose sight of these—
keep sound wisdom and discretion,

22 and they will be life for your soul
and adornment for your neck.

23 Then you will walk on your way securely,
and your foot will not stumble.

24 If you lie down, you will not be afraid;
when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.

25 Do not be afraid of sudden terror
or of the ruin[d] of the wicked, when it comes,

26 for the Lord will be your confidence
and will keep your foot from being caught.

27 Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,[e]
when it is in your power to do it.

28 Do not say to your neighbor, “Go, and come again,
tomorrow I will give it”—when you have it with you.

29 Do not plan evil against your neighbor,
who dwells trustingly beside you.

30 Do not contend with a man for no reason,
when he has done you no harm.

31 Do not envy a man of violence
and do not choose any of his ways,

32 for the devious person is an abomination to the Lord,
but the upright are in his confidence.

33 The Lord's curse is on the house of the wicked,
but he blesses the dwelling of the righteous.

34 Toward the scorners he is scornful,
but to the humble he gives favor.[f]

35 The wise will inherit honor,
but fools get[g] disgrace.

It's been a while since I read it, but didn't David have a time when he was down and out of power and later returned to power?

If you're thinking Absalom's rebellion, I don't think that qualifies. David was king the whole time if I remember it right, but Absalom was trying to be next in line instead of Solomon.

Besides, it wouldn't help. Taylor made it pretty clear Trump wasn't leaving office until 2025.

Imprecatory Psalm 83

O God, Do Not Keep Silence
A Song. A Psalm of Asaph.

1 O God, do not keep silence;
do not hold your peace or be still, O God!

2 For behold, your enemies make an uproar;
those who hate you have raised their heads.

3 They lay crafty plans against your people;
they consult together against your treasured ones.

4 They say, “Come, let us wipe them out as a nation;
let the name of Israel be remembered no more!”

5 For they conspire with one accord;
against you they make a covenant—

6 the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites,
Moab and the Hagrites,

7 Gebal and Ammon and Amalek,
Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;

8 Asshur also has joined them;
they are the strong arm of the children of Lot. Selah

9 Do to them as you did to Midian,
as to Sisera and Jabin at the river Kishon,

10 who were destroyed at En-dor,
who became dung for the ground.

11 Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb,
all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,

12 who said, “Let us take possession for ourselves
of the pastures of God.”

13 O my God, make them like whirling dust,[a]
like chaff before the wind.

14 As fire consumes the forest,
as the flame sets the mountains ablaze,

15 so may you pursue them with your tempest
and terrify them with your hurricane!

16 Fill their faces with shame,
that they may seek your name, O Lord.

17 Let them be put to shame and dismayed forever;
let them perish in disgrace,

18 that they may know that you alone,
whose name is the Lord,
are the Most High over all the earth.

Imprecatory Psalm 109
Help Me, O Lord My God
To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David.

1 Be not silent, O God of my praise!

2 For wicked and deceitful mouths are opened against me,
speaking against me with lying tongues.

3 They encircle me with words of hate,
and attack me without cause.

4 In return for my love they accuse me,
but I give myself to prayer.[a]

5 So they reward me evil for good,
and hatred for my love.

6 Appoint a wicked man against him;
let an accuser stand at his right hand.

7 When he is tried, let him come forth guilty;
let his prayer be counted as sin!

8 May his days be few;
may another take his office!

9 May his children be fatherless
and his wife a widow!

10 May his children wander about and beg,
seeking food far from the ruins they inhabit!

11 May the creditor seize all that he has;
may strangers plunder the fruits of his toil!

12 Let there be none to extend kindness to him,
nor any to pity his fatherless children!

13 May his posterity be cut off;
may his name be blotted out in the second generation!

14 May the iniquity of his fathers be remembered before the Lord,
and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out!

15 Let them be before the Lord continually,
that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth!

16 For he did not remember to show kindness,
but pursued the poor and needy
and the brokenhearted, to put them to death.

17 He loved to curse; let curses come[b] upon him!
He did not delight in blessing; may it be far[c] from him!

18 He clothed himself with cursing as his coat;
may it soak[d] into his body like water,
like oil into his bones!

19 May it be like a garment that he wraps around him,
like a belt that he puts on every day!

20 May this be the reward of my accusers from the Lord,
of those who speak evil against my life!

21 But you, O God my Lord,
deal on my behalf for your name's sake;
because your steadfast love is good, deliver me!

22 For I am poor and needy,
and my heart is stricken within me
.
23 I am gone like a shadow at evening;
I am shaken off like a locust.

24 My knees are weak through fasting;
my body has become gaunt, with no fat.

25 I am an object of scorn to my accusers;
when they see me, they wag their heads.

26 Help me, O Lord my God!
Save me according to your steadfast love!

27 Let them know that this is your hand;
you, O Lord, have done it!

28 Let them curse, but you will bless!
They arise and are put to shame, but your servant will be glad!

29 May my accusers be clothed with dishonor;
may they be wrapped in their own shame as in a cloak!

30 With my mouth I will give great thanks to the Lord;
I will praise him in the midst of the throng.

31 For he stands at the right hand of the needy one,
to save him from those who condemn his soul to death.

Country exile in the city
Since it goes back over 4 years ago, I have no idea where I saw it now, but I remember discussions on this site related to the coincidence of names between Trump and "The last trump". Some wondered if that portended Trump being a "last" of something for America----last President? last hope for saving America? last President holding back judgment, and after him judgment falls?

I tend to believe the last.

If anyone remembers those discussions here and can point me to finding them again (even though our search engine is better than the last site's one by far, I still am not good at it.) Thanks.
