I am always on the lookout to feed my knife habit. I justify my purchases by calling my ’excess’ knives barter material and upgrades and extras.

recently came across a knife bundle on goodwill’s online site. The pictures were not very clear and didn’t show all the knives but I recognized a couple familiar ones And took a chance. Several hundred dollars later, I got a package in the mail today. I just sorted through them and was pleased in my find.

below are some pictures after I sorted them.

the big finds were several older Benchmades, including Balisong marked ones, several older spydercos (what caught my eye in their pics) Cold Steels, Case, Vintage Gerbers, and several other brands.

morale of the story? Keep your eyes out and you can still score some good swag. Properly presented, I could sell a third of what I got, keep the good stuff I was after and still double my investment.

what neat finds have you all found recently?

If, in your travels, you HAPPEN to fall across a spare pair of the wire cutter jaws (well CABLE cutter jaws) for the Anniversary 700 Jaw Trader pliers we might be able to do something that looked like biz. I got the Tech and the Bulldog pliers jaws, just never quite saw the use of the cable cutters AT THE TIME!!

NOW however I've got uses for that pair of jaws.

TIA.

Great looking blades. But, I don't see one comfortable handle among the entire bunch.

I have exactly 2 pocket knives. The first is a Gerber 650, with the most comfortable handle that I've ever held. It cost less than $20, decades ago. The other is a Case, with a much narrower blade for getting into tight spaces. It was an unexpected gift from a fellow gardener, to whom I sent plenty of seeds.

When they ask you "How many knives do you own?" and your answer is "Yes.".

My knife addiction and collecting surpasses my flashlight one (see other thread) which, I have added to recently with some choice finds

OK as you apparently have desirable items surplus to your needs, I for one could be enticed into assisting to relieve your inventory management issues.

Just saying.

You'd have to narrow that down some. Knives? Flashlights? Vintage 90's bicycles? Tactical Packs? Camping/hiking Packs? Underwater Cameras? Vintage Video Cameras? Camera Bags?

Yeah, I could stand to downsize some stuff

Blades, preferably longer fixed w/ scabbard; more utilitarian than combat style although anything emulating a Randall Fighter would be good. Matte finish is fine for me.

Wow - I've had that Gerber folding knife in your photo for at least 30+ years.

I added a "Flick-it" device to aid one handed opening.

The top spyderco in the first picture looks like a Terzuola Starmate - long since discontinued but my favorite everyday carry from years ago. Nice find

That's a very nice knife collection. I've always been afraid of knives, but not guns. I could enter into a gun fight and probably come out on top, simply because my fear factor would be minimal. With a knife, I'd be sliced and diced due to the fear factor. The only good thing about such a fight, is I would have brought a gun to a knife fight and would win.

I got some but you probably won’t like my break even price, even though they are less than replacement price

i do have a stack of 6-8 dive knives I haven’t gotten around to sharpening I picked up cheap that might fill your bill
