Check out this first person accout of her meeting Sarah in NY:

I Spent this Morning with Sarah Palin in Auburn, NY (includes pictures)

Today was the day of a lifetime! I spent my morning with Governor Sarah Palin! What an amazing, amazing...did I say amazing...experience! She is in Auburn, NY celebrating 50 years of Alaska's statehood. William Seward, who spent much of his life in Auburn is largely responsible for Alaska becoming a state, so Auburn is celebrating Founder's Day--and the governor of Alaska made the long trip from Alaska to the lower 48 to take part in this celebration.

I'm going to keep this short and sweet because there really are no words to fully describe today. Suffice it to say that the governor of the great state of Alaska is everything I thought she was. She walked into the room and the entire atmosphere changed. I'm not joking. I had heard, but now I understand: She really does emanate the presence of God.

I understand, too, why people are so drawn to her. When you talk to her, she actually listens. It's almost unnerving because she doesn't take her eyes off you. She literally hangs on your every word with complete, undivided attention. And there's sincerity in her eyes. I remember hearing John Ziegler (documentarian of Media Malpractice: How Obama Got Elected and Palin was Targeted) say that he tends to be skeptical of people because you usually see a different person up close and personal than you see otherwise. He said, after interviewing her, however, that she was exactly as she appeared. She was real. I concur. Sarah Palin is the real deal.

I got to talk to Todd Palin, as well. I always knew he was handsome, but television doesn't do him justice. And the same is true of Sarah. I have heard so many people say she is beautiful, but if they've gotten that only from seeing a picture or watching television, they've missed it. Most people can only dream of being that beautiful. And that really is no exaggeration. If anything, it's an understatement. And whereas some people are beautiful outwardly but not so on the inside, Sarah is beautiful both inside and out.

Again, what an experience! I cannot wait to see her again: tomorrow is the parade, then the reception. Then Sunday it's the Walk for Autism in Purchase, NY. But then there's Alaska, and I'll have the chance to spend more time with her then--less than a month away. I feel so blessed.

I also have to give a "shout out" to Meg Stapleton, Sarah's spokesperson, who made this possible for me. This is her hometown, and there were plenty of other things she could have concerned herself with, but she opened a door for me that, I know, was God-ordained.

I have always wanted to come to Auburn because Harriet Tubman's home is here. I, as a descendant of the family of Harriet Tubman, always knew I'd visit one day, but who would have thought that I would come to meet Sarah Palin?

Okay, enough. Look at a few pictures. I'll just post a few, but more will be coming after the rest of the events this weekend. I really would like to hide the picture I took with Sarah today because it's not a good picture of me, but this weekend isn't about me; it's about Sarah, and Alaska, and Auburn, so I'll post it anyway and hope to get a better one of the two of us before the weekend ends. Enjoy...

REVOULTION?

Videos are nearly useless to the dial-up crowd. And I'm much more interested in ideas than cheerleading. The last thing this country needs is another demagogue, another personality cult.

If you look at the thread on Sarah's appearances in New York, you will find multitudes of links on text and photos you can get her ideas from.

And who says cheerleading isn't all bad right now? We are a very demoralized nation and we could use some uplifting talk right now.

I don't know Sara Palin.

That said.

I think she did rather well during the campaign for VP.

I also know that the MSM did a number on her for sure. Both during and AFTER the campaign.

Any one who received the amount of Negative and frivolous lawsuits After the campaign must have something going for her.

What did the MSM know back then that I didn't know?

I'm leaning to wards her, but at this point I kneed to know more about her.

lw
ps. I have dial up, and it is as slow as molasses in January, in AK. So I won't attempt to click on links that are long and drawn out. No vids. No pics.

Well I hope she's all she's cracked up to be and not just another NWO shill (which I sincerely believe she is or is being courted to be).

Koz, if you end up working for her tell her to please get Lasik, those glasses make her look like a dork and distract from what she's saying and her hairstyle makes her look frowsy and unkempt, disorganized-all I can think of is how much better she'd look without the specs and a decent haircut, not the content of her speeches. And I'm female. And straight. So I know other people are thinking the same things. If she has to use sex appeal to get where she wants to be she'd better go for it, the NWO bunch uses race and any other trick they can pull.

IMAGE IS EVERYTHING; having a business taught me that. It doesn't matter that you're selling the same old product, if the package looks really good people will fight eachother to buy it. People are funny.

I really, really, REALLY hope she is what she claims to be and stands strong against the seductive pull of globalists desperate to get their last bits of control, but somehow I have a sinking feeling she's just more of the same of what we've had and got. We'll know when she chooses her running mate-Huckabee, Romney, Gingrich or any other usual suspect and I'll know she's one of them without reservation. Ron Paul would be a positive choice I'd think. Just rambling here, because I don't hold much stock in elections or our nation lasting long enough to get to another major election. The good news is, we have the God of the Universe on our side. :D

She was about 20 miles from this past week. I wish I could have gone to see her but the meat life wouldn't allow me to. I'd support her. I did when she was running for VP. I think she'd make a great prez! I'm in!

If she would tweak a couple of her policies to more libertarian (less religiously conservative and more politically conservative--as the Republican party should be) I would be completely behind her. Regardless, I respect her as a person and her views. On the other hand, the whole gig is rigged, so what is the point?

I'm waiting for straight talk.

All this nicey nice respectful treatment of the opposition only helped the opposition win. Palin should have leaned over and slapped Charlie. She didn't even call him on his snottiness.

I won't back anyone who enables (pc talk for kisses their butts) the opposition of liberty.

I think she looks good the way she is. Slicked down, propped up, botoxed and plastic surgeried faux appearances are nauseating. She looks real.

So what if she wears glasses? Some vision problems can't be fixed with Lasik and some people can't wear contacts.

Fortunately her appeal is limited. I would almost rather have The Shrub back than her. One is as bad as the other.

That first person account above by a descendant of Harriet Tubman?

Oh, why do people have to go the idol-worship route?

I hate it as much for Sarah as I do for Obammy.

I went back to you tube just so I could see that speech again. I swear the whole neighborhood could have heard me hollering I was so EXCITED and so in agreement with what she was saying.

However, my liberal family members were totally appalled. You could hear my mother gasping for breath over the phone lines from 20 feet away! "What do you mean you loved her?"

How do these words sound to you now? The same as they did back when they were first spoken, or do they seem more/less meaningful to you today?

When I ran for city council, I didn't need focus groups and voter profiles because I knew those voters, and knew their families, too.

Before I became governor of the great state of Alaska, I was mayor of my hometown.

And since our opponents in this presidential election seem to look down on that experience, let me explain to them what the job involves.

I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a "community organizer," except that you have actual responsibilities. I might add that in small towns, we don't quite know what to make of a candidate who lavishes praise on working people when they are listening, and then talks about how bitterly they cling to their religion and guns when those people aren't listening.

We tend to prefer candidates who don't talk about us one way in Scranton and another way in San Francisco.

--snip--

And I've learned quickly, these past few days, that if you're not a member in good standing of the Washington elite, then some in the media consider a candidate unqualified for that reason alone.

But here's a little news flash for all those reporters and commentators: I'm not going to Washington to seek their good opinion - I'm going to Washington to serve the people of this country. Americans expect us to go to Washington for the right reasons, and not just to mingle with the right people.

Politics isn't just a game of clashing parties and competing interests.

The right reason is to challenge the status quo, to serve the common good, and to leave this nation better than we found it.

No one expects us to agree on everything.

But we are expected to govern with integrity, good will, clear convictions, and ... a servant's heart.

--snip--

The stakes for our nation could not be higher.

When a hurricane strikes in the Gulf of Mexico, this country should not be so dependent on imported oil that we are forced to draw from our Strategic Petroleum Reserve.

And families cannot throw away more and more of their paychecks on gas and heating oil.

With Russia wanting to control a vital pipeline in the Caucasus, and to divide and intimidate our European allies by using energy as a weapon, we cannot leave ourselves at the mercy of foreign suppliers.

To confront the threat that Iran might seek to cut off nearly a fifth of world energy supplies ... or that terrorists might strike again at the Abqaiq facility in Saudi Arabia ... or that Venezuela might shut off its oil deliveries ... we Americans need to produce more of our own oil and gas.

And take it from a gal who knows the North Slope of Alaska: we've got lots of both.

Our opponents say, again and again, that drilling will not solve all of America's energy problems - as if we all didn't know that already.

But the fact that drilling won't solve every problem is no excuse to do nothing at all.

--snip--

We've all heard his dramatic speeches before devoted followers.

And there is much to like and admire about our opponent.

But listening to him speak, it's easy to forget that this is a man who has authored two memoirs but not a single major law or reform - not even in the state senate.

This is a man who can give an entire speech about the wars America is fighting, and never use the word "victory" except when he's talking about his own campaign. But when the cloud of rhetoric has passed ... when the roar of the crowd fades away ... when the stadium lights go out, and those Styrofoam Greek columns are hauled back to some studio lot - what exactly is our opponent's plan? What does he actually seek to accomplish, after he's done turning back the waters and healing the planet? The answer is to make government bigger ... take more of your money ... give you more orders from Washington ... and to reduce the strength of America in a dangerous world. America needs more energy ... our opponent is against producing it.

Victory in Iraq is finally in sight ... he wants to forfeit.

Terrorist states are seeking new-clear weapons without delay ... he wants to meet them without preconditions.

Al Qaeda terrorists still plot to inflict catastrophic harm on America ... he's worried that someone won't read them their rights? Government is too big ... he wants to grow it.

Congress spends too much ... he promises more.

Taxes are too high ... he wants to raise them. His tax increases are the fine print in his economic plan, and let me be specific.

The Democratic nominee for president supports plans to raise income taxes ... raise payroll taxes ... raise investment income taxes ... raise the death tax ... raise business taxes ... and increase the tax burden on the American people by hundreds of billions of dollars. My sister Heather and her husband have just built a service station that's now opened for business - like millions of others who run small businesses.

How are they going to be any better off if taxes go up? Or maybe you're trying to keep your job at a plant in Michigan or Ohio ... or create jobs with clean coal from Pennsylvania or West Virginia ... or keep a small farm in the family right here in Minnesota.

How are you going to be better off if our opponent adds a massive tax burden to the American economy? Here's how I look at the choice Americans face in this election.

Text of speech from the Huffington Post.

Much More Than This

Alaskans concerned about North Korea's missiles

Jun 6, 3:37 PM (ET)

By MARY PEMBERTON

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Alaskans are concerned over the prospect that North Korea is getting ready to test a long-range missile that could reach strategic targets in their home state.

And they're not buying Defense Secretary Robert Gates' assertion during a visit this past week to one of Alaska's many military installations that the missile is not a threat to the United States.

"I think we would definitely be a target because of the oil and the military," said Dale Walberg, owner of a small greenhouse business in Eagle River. "They are just so secretive. What do we really know?"

There's been no direct threat against Alaska or anywhere else, but the missile North Korea is believed to be assembling for a test may have a range of 4,000 miles, putting Hawaii and much of Alaska within reach.

Alaska's two largest cities, Anchorage and Fairbanks, have both Air Force and Army bases. There's also Fort Greely, home of the Missile Defense Complex. The U.S. plans to store 26 ground-based missile interceptors in silos at the base, about 100 miles south of Fairbanks.

Other high-profile potential targets would include Prudhoe Bay, the nation's largest oil field, or Valdez, the terminus of the 800-mile trans-Alaska pipeline.

Bert Cottle, mayor of Valdez, where 16 percent of the nation's domestic oil production is loaded onto tankers for delivery to the West Coast, said he checked with two military leaders in Alaska to get their take on the developing missile situation and was told everything is status quo.

"We will wait for further updates," he said.

In the meantime, the state's political leaders are using the missile situation to send a message to the Obama administration: Maintain a strong military presence in Alaska.

Rep. Don Young, R-Alaska, sent a letter to Gates urging him to reconsider a decision to not complete construction of a second missile defense field at Greely and to place a cap on F-22 fighters at Elmendorf Air Force Base.

"We are sending the wrong message to our enemies by stopping the placement of these interceptors," Young's letter said. "While 30 interceptors may be enough to counter the current threat from North Korea, it is clear that it will not be enough in the future."

Sen. Mark Begich, D-Alaska, said he would continue to push for the installation of the final 14 interceptors.

"It may be just one missile positioned today, but who knows what surprise North Korea will announce next?" Begich said.

Dan Goure, vice president of defense studies at the Lexington Institute in Alexandria, Va., said Alaskans should be outraged by the Obama administration decision to scale back Greely's missile defense program.

"The most desirable targets these guys can hit are all in Alaska and the system that is being deployed is inadequate," Goure said. "You may say I will trust the president to stand up to that threat, but do the people of Alaska want to be put on that front line?"

William English, 72, of Eagle River, thinks the threat from North Korea's long-range missile is real.

"I think they are going to find a target to shoot it at, right here. You lose Prudhoe Bay and the state is gone," said English, who worked as an electrical engineer on the North Slope for 26 years.

English thinks the North Korean leader is "crazy as hell."

About 15 miles east of Fairbanks, the town of North Pole has just 2,100 residents but Mayor Doug Isaacson thinks it would likely be on North Korea's list of attractive targets. It's less than 10 miles from the Army's Fort Wainwright with 7,180 soldiers and from Eielson Air Force Base with 3,010 military personnel. It also has two oil refineries.

"I am sure that if anybody is looking at strategic locations North Pole is probably on the radar," he said.

Isaacson said he has contacted public affairs officers at Fort Wainwright and local borough officials and department heads to discuss emergency plans.

"Right now, I don't think there is much consideration that there is a serious threat, but having said that everything is possible and every eventuality needs to be looked at," he said.

In Hawaii, where the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor ushered the U.S. into World War II, people are more concerned with the state's high unemployment rate, which has doubled over the past year, and the governor's order furloughing state employees to cope with a sharp revenue decline.

Hawaiians also doubt North Korea would fire a missile at the U.S.

"I think it's bluffing," said Tim Luster, a 45-year-old in the music retail business. "It doesn't really make sense to me that they would directly attack the United States. It seems a little outlandish."

But in Anchorage, Francis Merriman, a 61-year-old boat captain, thinks the North Korea missile threat must be taken very seriously.

"Do they have nuclear warheads?" Merriman asked. "Don't we have any way of shooting them down?"
