Sue, your phone can do that silly thing it did anytime you want to. LOL. There's lots of folks that live in nice trailers in retirement communities. It doesn't have to be trailer park trash time. If you don't have to live right down the street from your son and his family you might want to consider Plant City (in Hillsborough County, land of strawberries) or maybe Trinity (in Pasco County). Both are still an easy drive to my house. LOL

ETA: Zephyrhills might be another place to look.

sw Virginia has proven to be the perfect place for our retirement. All four seasons but none last too long, and very few bugs/mosquitoes even when sitting by the pond. Nice growing season plus lots of wild edibles. I always joke when we walk in the woods or down the creek, "It's a whole supermarket out here!" I wanted to go back to my beloved White Mountains of NH but glad we didn't now.

I pray that everything comes together for you and that you find your true place.
