The shake felt like a n/s back & forth. Quick, small. I think I feel them because my house is above ground.
A couple years ago there was one that I stood up and prepared to flee, I was sitting at my desk and the whole desk was shaking back and forth. Hardly anyone felt it here in town, house being above ground makes them easier to feel apparently.

So the majority of the houses in your area are under ground?

It's like a mobile home, 2 sides brought in on tractor trailers, they build a concrete block foundation and set the two sides on those. Regular built houses don't seem to jerk as much.
In my post #5 above, almost no one in town felt that one.
