WEATHER Hows the Temperature Near you?

A few weeks ago many here were complaining about the high temperatures (hot) and wanting or hoping for it to start cooling down some.
Well here in the mountains of West Virginia (580 Ft above sea level) the last few nights were cool in my location this morning we had an over night low of 48F and had few windows open over night, we slept really good and again hit dew point and everything outside is dripping wet.

Here in northeast Texas the temps have moderated (a little earlier than usual). Highs have been in the upper 80s with lows in the low 70s. That's supposed to change this weekend as lows drop into the upper 50s with highs in the 70s. Humidity has been low, too. Nice.

It was 57 and perfect this morning when I got up. Windows were open and I was under the covers. I love cooler weather to sleep in.

Highs in the low 90’s, lows in the low 70’s. About a 7-10° drop since last month. We’ll stay at this level until early-mid October.

We are at 66 right now. Quite a shock. I too am in a light jacket. But I also have on shorts, no shoes.

It might be alright if I dressed properly. However, later on, it will get warmer and I will be changing clothes again. Part of this is cloud cover from Sally. But I sometimes have to change 3 times a day to accommodate the weather here. ANNOYING!

Around 60. I'm cold. Had to put on a coat this morning. In a couple of months 60 will feel good!

Yep same here we put on a light jacket my son is walking around the house wrapped in a blanket.
Just went outside and checked the temp and its now 10:27AM and it 58F we're slowly warming up here.

We have a saying here in Mississippi. It's the only state where you have to run the heater in the mornings, and the AC in the afternoon! I too, am chilly this morning in need of a sweater. By this afternoon, at 80* it will be quite comfortable.

This too shall pass.
Our low last night was 57, which was really nice. The windows are still open, but I didn't need the fan to sleep last night.

At least we're out of the 11x zone. Fall gardening begins when we hit two-digit highs.

Fall has arrived in central Ohio, broke out the big warm comforter yesterday. Lows in the 40s and 50s, highs in the 60s and 70s.

Been very grateful to shut off the A.C. but now we need to clean out the wood burner and get more firewood in.

Craving soup and chili but making myself wait a little longer. We eat a lot of soup in the cold months, really stretches the budget.

Lovely - N MN. Days are in the 60's to 70 and lately hasn't been freezing at night - only down into the high 40's-50.

CAs high desert. 66 this morning and supposed to be 98 this afternoon but we aren't reaching hose highs due to the thick upper atmosphere smoke. Was 90 high yesterday.

East Central Illinois- Have had to wear a light jacket in evening last week end when setting around fire pit with Grand Kids, low 60's and slight but constant wind

Last 2 weeks Highs- in mid to high 70's, Lows- low 60's
Ground- dry lack of rain

Crops in fields drying nicely and look very good. Constant seed corn semi trucks have been running to the seed processors NW of me last few weeks throughout week days and they've been processing seed. Don't know about the Frito Lay Plant at Homer but guessing their busy processing contracted corn. Soybeans not quite ready to combine but won't be long.

Garden- about done except for the d*m zucchini, I'm sick to death of it.

Tomatoes - few every day, Beans last pickings about ready, Winter Squash- almost ready, Peppers- down to the end pickings, Lettuce & Spinach- still going strong, Brussel Sprouts- waiting for first frost in Oct

Farmers Almanac predicting cold and snowy winter so we're enjoying these last dregs of warm weather.

It was still humid Monday during the day but by evening it was comfortable in the low 70's high 60's

AC hasn't run since Monday night and it looks like mid-high 70's for the rest of the month. While I'll miss the swimming/pool weather I much more prefer doing outdoor chores in the cooler temps and I have many tasks to do before winter.

The downside is it is now dark by 7:30ish

Low 90's by the middle of the afternoon, but pleasant in the mornings, around 70 overnight. Its supposed to get to the middle 80's later in the week but that was also supposed to happen last week. If it does cool, then it should be in the middle 60's at night. Its not uncommon to get cold (for us) in November. I've turned off the AC at night in my pantry room, cool enough so not necessary to run it all night. Same with my shed. I'm seeing a few leaves turning.

God is good all the time

Turned it off last Saturday (one day only), first time since the spring.
I did whip up corn chowder Sunday because sweet corn is still for sale.
I roasted up about 1.5 dozen ears. Made the soup and froze 2 more quarts of the roasted corn for future batches.

We have a frost warning for tonight. Have to cover the squash that got planted late, hoping to get a few more ripe.

Otherwise the highs have been in the 60s and 70s.

It hasn't been cold enough to kill the skeeters yet. After that happens it will be the best time of the year.

Sunny and 75. Tomorrow it won't be. Cold is going to invade. Blah from the Mitten State. Got 70s? Enjoy 'em while you got 'em.

Has it really been that long? My, time flies.

You should start experimenting with soups to go with your homemade bread this winter.

67 and rainy right now with a high of 74 (won’t make it), just underneath the “eye” of Sally.

Makes two of us. I have been shredding and freezing, plus baking zuchinni bread, muffins, and cake. There's more on the counter waiting for me, whispering "hellooooo, did you forget about me?" I don't even want to look at another zucchini for a long long time. The fact that it's talking to me says I've crossed into zuchinni overload.

North Idaho 60-70s have been the high last week and 40s at night which dipped down to 28 one night in the valley last week or week before. The smoke has been so thick it has not warmed up to highs they are forecasting which sucks. But it is what it is and winter is on its way!

Well we just had a colder night and went down to 39F at 10:15AM we are still warming up and right now its 52F.
A large area around my location over night went to frost warnings. Looks like winter is coming early.
