Brunswick county is a huge hotspot right now, the hospital is full to the brim. I live 6 minutes from the water at Holden Beach, our family is ZERO and we are out and about and work with the public. My daughter works at the hospital.
I hate hearing this. We're set to be down there the end of the month. Not that'll out and about much but still.

I checked on what you said on PCR tests and CDC

This article shows that there is nothing wrong with the PCR test. Claims That CDC’s PCR Test Can’t Tell Covid From Flu Are Wrong

People read the first line “CDC has just announced they will revoke the emergency use authorization of the RT-PCR tests first introduced in 2/20,” And translated it to They’ve been adding flu cases to Covid cases when using that test.” Absolute Bullshit.

People failed to read the second line “CDC encourages laboratories to consider adoption of a multiplexed method that can facilitate detection and differentiation of SARS CoV-2 and influenza viruses.” And actually any other viruses.

PCR *ONLY* detects Covid-19. So rather than giving sick people, one test for Covid, another for flu, another for this, another for that, etc. Each patient only gets one test that sorts out which virus they have.

PCR is best for mass testing. Other tests are more suitable for hospital patients, who have respiratory infections.
Ummm....notice how there was zip seasonal flu last year? That's impossible! And we all know it. Where did it go? It got thrown in with covid....thus the expression covid cured the flu. Hardly any tamiflu was purchased last year.
Differentiation is what the CDC is calling for now. A little hard to keep pretending there is no more seasonal flu. Fool us once.... And seasonal flu vaccine companies will have a hard time pushing their vaccines if no more seasonal flu...can't have that. They'll loose millions. CDC knows this. The flu comes round every year. The CDC shot themselves in the foot on this!

Fact- flu got thrown in with covid last flu season and the CDC knew it and did nothing to stop it from happening!! Now they are trying to cover their butt. Because the cycles of the PCR test were too high.

The PCR test should never have been used for diagnosis. They used far too many cycles to begin with resulting in a huge number of 'cases' that should have been negative showing up as positive. Probably sucked in all the flu cases with this 'little' problem. And they knew this was happening but chose to ignore this 'little' problem because it was giving them the numbers they needed to shut us down. The CDC has been lying to us from the get go. They have a history of this.

C'mon, just use some common sense. Most people travelling into the area have the "I'm on a beach vacation" attitude and it causes problems. Everyone crams into the grocery stores on Saturday after check in, wall to wall elbow to elbow, I think that's on of the issues we are seeing.

No one in my immediate family has ever had it, from us down to grand kids. Wife and I have never been tested, nor taken shots.

We believe we have a natural immunity since our immune system is likely stronger by living in the woods, litterally eating dirt (example, pull a radish out of the garden, wipe it off on pant leg, eat it) and are around cows. I heard cows have covid, and if around them you will develop a natural immunity. When I go the garden hungry, I do not come out until full. Pull raspberries off the plant, eat them, bugs and all. Same with carrots and raw potatoes, pick-em, eat-em - the hell with washing them.

When we see this covid scare crap in the newspaper, we laugh. When we see some clown out walking alone on a sidewalk with no one else in site, wearing a mask. we laugh. Same with idiots in a car wearing a mask, they are terrified democrat voters.

I answered myself & one other, the DW. Really could have answered none, got the bug on Sunday evening, IVM kicked it's ass by Wednesday morning, same with the DW.

I do have an adult daughter trying to kick it, got some IVM to her yesterday, so I expect she'll be fine shortly.

Me - No
Wife - Yes
Daughter - Yes - Tested to confirm.
3 grandkids - probably but why test 1 day and they are back running around
Son in Law - No - Jabbed - Air Force commander "forced" him to and he complied.

Wife responded well to 5 days Ivermectin. Checked her this am, she has no bots.
Daughter took 5 days Horse Paste and now I have started her on Hydroxychloroquine and doing better on day 2. We all respond different.

I hope Dennis is having a better day!

Anecdotal info ahead.....

1. We work within healthcare...and travel...somewhere different every day, throughout the midwest area.
2. Last week we were at a system that was full, zero transfers allowed even within the system of patients. FULL. Small rural hospital...full. Three weeks ago I was there and...it was empty (I was physically in the ICU, so I KNOW)
3. Yesterday I'm 200 miles away, and low census...rural...no rona in the place. Today large metro area.

So...it appears to me this "thing" has surges or waves that move across the population.

What have we been doing in all these hospitals and NONE of my team seems to have gotten whatever "this" or "that" was/is?

Daily:
Vitamin D
Quercetin
Zinc
NAC
And starting back in...oh, Feb, Ivermectin, at first monthly, but in the last few weeks, weekly per FLCCC guidelines.

And, in convo with Dr. Friend last weekend for over an hour...
1. He is putting 20-40 year olds in perfect health on vents. So far, lost none. He is using Ivermectin on all of his patients.
2. He and his wife both got the J&J jab last week after getting the sheite scared out of them seeing all these young healthy patients being deathly ill and some on vents.... His words to me were "I'm not much of a prepper if I'm not even alive to take care of my children"..."we literally do not have a bed for me or my wife in system"....

Him getting the J&J jab shocked me as he is working with an attorney with regard to the forced vax, which, BTW, he is still continuing to do, even though he got the shot last week.

Whatever the new variant going around in the Midwest is, it absolutely IS NOT what the thing was last year.

So the ivermectin is not keeping these off vents? I assume he is starting it when they first show up (fairly early)?

A lot of people don't realize that just because you think the vaccine is useful and believe it should be widely used, that you can still be anti-mandate.

There are many things that are good practice. Doesn't mean the government should force people to do them.

Doc told me he was pushing Ivermectin pretty much right away, so I didn't drill down as to "how sick" the people are when they show up at the ED...but 20-40...I doubt that age group in a rural area goes to the ED before they are so sick they are scared...so I would assume pretty ill when admitted.

I didn’t want a set of PERCENTAGES of who does or doesn’t have it now, I wanted a SIMPLE COUNT. As in, everyone who has it stands in a line, and when I point to you, you count off. For example, let’s say that there was a group of 15 people, 10 of whom had blue shirts and 5 of whom had tan shirts. I ask the people in blue shirts to line up, and when I point to the one on the left, everyone in the line counts.

ONE
TWO
THREE
FOUR
FIVE
SIX
SEVEN
EIGHT
NINE
TEN

No one else counts, so I know I have ten people with blue shirts. But you want it like this:

ONE
TWO
THREE
FOUR - TAN SHIRT!
FOUR (cuz they have a blue shirt)
Wait, I was four! No, you have a tan shirt. But I want to be counted! Sorry, this is a count of people with blue shirts. I don’t care! (Stomps feet.)

And so on. I don’t want to know the number of blue shirts versus the number of tan shirts. I WANT TO KNOW THE NUMBER OF BLUE SHIRTS! So everyone in tan shirts is pissed off cuz they don’t get a participation trophy.

SMDH
:lkick: :lkick: :lkick: :lkick: :hof::hof::hof::lkick::lkick::lkick::lkick:

Dennis ain't getting his count, his way, no matter what. Even if he starts over, lol...herd o cats, we is.

Nothing wrong with the PCR test?

How about the huge number of false positives?
How about the inventor of the test saying this is an inappropriate use?
How about the number of amplifications?
Anything above 25 gives too many false positives.
Until recently, the number of amplifications was 37-40 but no lab will tell you how many amplifications were done..

I could go on but you're full of it
My own experience regarding the PCR test: In late July my doctor sent me to the ER in a hospital in Springfield, so off we went. I had a cough and was as weak as a newborn kitten and dehydrated. So while I was in the ER, they violated my brain cavity with the swab and came back pronouncing me as covid-positive. Well, duh .... (it was the second test I'd endured, the first one being negative) it's not like it wasn't completely obvious.

So I was in the hospital with an IV running constantly and they booted me out on the 5th day as they'd gotten me re-hydrated and my systems up and running again. I've been gaining strength back and am pretty well normal except I take more rest breaks than usual.

So when the lab tech came to swab me down, I asked him how many cycle thresholds were they using to run the test. He looked at me blankly and said, "Cycle thresholds? I don't know what those are". So I asked him how many positives they had vs. negatives. He said that all their tests were positive, which tells me that their c/t count is over 40.

But what else can you expect from a system which is being run for profit?

You're sure right about that. And with all the people who've taken the jab and its ability to provide a nice environment for variants to develop, we can expect many more variants to emerge. The most recent one I read of has been named Mu, so we're moving right along the Greek alphabet.

Do you suppose they'll go double on the next round when we blow past Omega? Get ready for double Alpha.

You have asked me all these questions without giving me any context. It is very hard to debate this stuff, without knowing where you got your information, and what exactly it is. So what is the false positive rate? And where did you get that figure from? ie what are your sources? What did the inventor of the PCR test say plus source for quote? And so on.

Nice try at obfuscation.
Or is that British humor these days?

It would be hard to not stumble over the items that I mention.

I know the answers and, maybe, they were just rhetorical questions

Two great nieces had the virus most recently but are past the quarantine and returning to school next week.
The 6 year old came home from school with it and then the 14 year old tested positive as well.
Neither of their parents tested positive.

I actually think my Dear Wife had it or something very similar in January 2020 that she picked up on the flight returning from visiting our daughter in Europe. She said that a lot of people were coughing on the flight back. She was SICK AS HELL for two weeks and started coughing up blood towards the end of the second week. Just a day away from me taking her to the hospital when she turned the corner. Had her on Elderberry Tincture, mega dose Vit C, Echinacea, Golden Seal, Garlic, homemade chicken soup with garlic, and Z-pack.

Took her a month to get over all the symptoms and feeling somewhat normal again. I suspected something was going on in China in that first month in 2020 and order N99 masks and N100 respirators by the middle of January, well ahead of any warnings or concerns here in the US.

We did get both of us tested with that first Covid test months later, but both of us came back negative....of course. However, the symptoms were pretty much right on for WuFlu. Scary shitte!!

Just got word from my brother, the wife has been admitted to hospital for oxygen therapy and it looks like all three girls have it too. Also, the wife's father who had a double lung transplant a few years ago tested positive. My nephew has already been through the ringer with the one daughter and her liver issues. Now he's taking care of the family all by himself with some help from my brother who took his first shot today. He's been dropping off meals for the girls. The wife's family has Cystic Fibrosis on her side and has already lost a brother to it. Not sure if they were practicing all the safety routine like keeping their distance, etc, but probably not. My other brother had Covid last year when he had some kitchen work done on his condo in South Carolina and never took any precautions. His was mild and not as bad as the flu.

Update: My nephews wife has a serious case of COVID related pneumonia. I sure hope it doesn't get any worse. Everything they've worked for the last ten years us up in the air. She is an excellent mother.

If the references are all over the internet, you should have no trouble finding some and posting them.

Yes, I have done a trawl. It was hard work to find anything about false results, either positive or negative. I learned so much about how the virus works, how the test work, and how they interact. And now understand why it is so hard to predict how well any Covid test works.

I did find two articles one by the BMJ, who search peer reviewed journals and distil the data PCR testing for SARS-CoV-2 is far from 100% sensitive
And also one by a university Epidemiologist AMA FAQ
There were various other articles, but not with a reasonable academic background. It seems generally accepted, that false positive run at 1-4% and false negatives at up to 30%.
Overall, it appears to me, that the over counted false positives are dwarfed by the undercounted false negatives. Maybe you could post your sources, which if you stumble over them all the time, should be easy to do.

How about the inventor of the test saying this is an inappropriate use?

The PCR test was designed to amplify DNA, so in that sense Kary Mullins who is now dead, was right - it was a DNA amplification process, not an infectious disease test. BUT.... it works as one. The material from a swab has its DNA amplified until there is enough material, to say whether, Covid -19 material is there.

If the test finds Covid DNA it is in there. Now why you get false positives(or for that case false negatives) is an extremely complex subject.

How about the number of amplifications? Anything above 25 gives too many false positives.

COVID-19 PCR test amplification cycle number: FOI release is typically 35-40
What’s a PCR test cycle threshold and why it matters - Full Fact this one explains that amplification takes place until the DNA is detected. Usually Covid DNA is found fairly quickly, so the number of amplifications done is low. In which case a person has covid, and is very likely to be infectious
Yes higher amplifications give more false positives...... but generally labs stop at 40. If it takes 40 amplications, then the person may have Covid, but is not infectious.

But we looking at, false positives are dwarfed by the false negatives.

I had a similar experience... had to have the test for the eye surgery that I canceled. Asked the moron administering it (sorry, but she was clearly a TikTok fan who spent at least two hours on her hair and makeup, but who took 45 minutes to register me for a simple COVID test, while people were lining up in the hall and then leaving in disgust) how many cycles they run.

Blank look... "?cycles?"
Arrrgghhh..

I found out yesterday that one of my daughters and her boyfriend just tested positive. Her son and his were both sick last week, but the school never made them get tested. I thought right away that the one that got sent home from school possibly had it.

My kids had cold symptoms here. Sore throat, sniffles, slight cough. No fever.

I felt a sore throat coming on several times but zapped it with Mary Ruth's ionic zinc drops. Plus I take more Vit D3 than my kids. It never got any further than a slight sore throat starting. Zinc has always done this for me.

Not sure if this was Covid as we saw no reason to get tested.

There are many here that had and are having this same thing and most of them get scared and go get tested. The testing lines here are packed. Long lines.

Lol, I'm darn sure not a doctor, nor do I have any kind of 'higher education' in that line. So all I can do is guess that they are in that 'left out' 5%. I'm also guessing it could go down to the difference between '0+' and '0-' blood types.

And another 'for sure' thing...I'm 'for sure' praying for them...and you...the best.

View attachment 287027

Girls and I have O+ and hubby and sons have O-. Hubby is actually a toss up, as I think he is O- but he may be O+. He had a full body blood transfusion at birth as he had the Rh thing.

None of us have had it and we've never quarantined and have been out in public, interacting with 100s in the public and our tenants from the beginning. My brother, his wife, and her daughter had it back early last year but she and her daughter have some kind of autoimmune genetic thing and my brother has three different kinds of arthritis, one of them RA which is also autoimmune. All three have been fine since despite multiple exposures.

My parents are "vaxx'd" with multiple co-morbidities. After being vaxx'd they haven't really done much. I don't know what their blood type is but I suppose I should ask.

Just got word she has been discharged from the hospital and is home on oxygen. My brother said his son went through the worst week of his life. Just the thought of him losing the woman of his dreams with three girls to take care of. One 7 months old with the high end car and house payments, not to mention taking the middle daughter to Wake Forest for liver analysis. I think they all dodged a bullet. Everyone in the family got the Delta. Best not to live on a two income lifestyle these days. Pay off debts and be prepared for the worse.

Ok I guess this is as good a place as any to ask this question. As I said earlier in the thread, several of my immediate family members have COVID. My son has finally turned the corner but some of the others, not so much. Anyway, three of them are having severe anxiety….a couple to the point they can’t sleep at all, and when they do, they have weird thoughts and dreams. My dil is so bad that her doctor prescribed a sedative for her so she can try and get some rest.

It’s all just so strange to me because this is so out of character for all of them. Dil told me that she was told that the “brain fog “ is one of the side effects, so I don’t know. My question is….have any of you who have, or have had COVID had this happen? Thanks in advance for any replies because this is really troubling to me!

Maybe Covid depletes the body's Magnesium and Potassium which effects the nerves and sleep.

My sister had it before january and the lingering effect on her is a total exhaustion that she cant explain.
I hope your families side effects go away in time and that those still sick get better. This virus seems to be doing some pretty odd things to people

None for us right now.

I’ve been fighting something and my throat hurts something fierce today. Hubby says maybe it’s allergies since I have ragweed allergies….. maybe but I have never in all my years had a sore throat from allergies like this. And my allergies aren’t at the peak yet either. I will wait and see
