Replying to my own post to update. Sadly this relative has died of Covid.Replying to my own post with an update:
Relative's spouse will take "dying of 'rona" patient home in order to administer ibermectm.
If hospital staff cannot prescribed it, perhaps putting the patient on at-home hospice is the most humane thing to do.
My relative who just died of covid and his wife, who now fights her own battle with Covid, exposed several family members along the way. We shall see how Capricious Covid plays out in the family and their contacts. How I hate the capriciousness of this damn virus.
How long on the vent?Dad (OldGringo) is still on a vent, his peep score went from 24 to 10, O2 on vent went from 100% to 50%, He is off all pressors (heart meds) and no longer Covid pos. He still has a central line and is in ICU. Once peep goes below 8 then we try to extubate. Going in right direction but everything at this point is an uphill battle.
