I usually cut this in half, but I'm giving you the full amount in case you are doing more than one gallon. This was a staple at the Biker BBQ's we used to have.
1 Cup pickling salt
3 Quarts water
1 Quart white or cider vinegar
Heat until salt dissolves, then cool.
Add
2 or 3 heaping TB Horseradish
2 heaping TB minced garlic
2 or 3 sliced large jalapenos
Pour over eggs, let sit at least 3 days before sampling (longer is better). And, they just get spicier with age.
