ISSUE: ABORTION

UNION LEAGUE- CHICAGO, GOVERNORS DEBATE- ABORTION QUESTION: WATCH ANDRZEJEWSKI'S ANSWER

Technology is clearly showing us what we have always known, that a mother is carrying a baby. Human life is unique, precious, and fragile. Human life at all its continuums should be protected under the law. I am Pro-Life.

PLEASE REVIEW THE NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC PRESENTATION: IN THE WOMB

The Supreme Court has limited the state’s role regarding abortion. However, the state legislature can require parental notification and consent, as well as prohibit any and all public financing of abortion. Such laws would empower citizens to oversee the good of their children and how their tax dollars are spent. These measures have broad public appeal, as few citizens believe in unfettered, publicly financed abortion.

I believe that all of us have a role to play in “unconditionally loving life” and recognizing that there is a purpose for each child. Decisions are difficult, but all of us are called to bring out the best in our fellow human beings and by doing so, the best in each of us becomes evident. American society has a long tradition of protecting and supporting the vulnerable, be they aged, handicapped, or preborn.

Showing this love, recognizing purpose and potential in every child is not simple. Emotional, financial, and many other factors can influence our decisions and prompt us to question our principles. Therefore, government has a duty to help support , through good public policies, the development of children at all stages. Illinois will be the beneficiary of this.

Abortion not only ends a human life, but also denies the importance and purpose for each life. A life is a terrible thing to waste.

PLEASE REVIEW: THE PURPOSE OF EACH LIFE

According to the December, 2008 Harris Interactive® poll, 91% of people believe that some restrictions on abortion is the common sense position. Therefore, people of goodwill across the state should be able to develop a broad consensus to limit and regulate abortions until federal law changes.
In addition, I support non-profit organizations that provide help - like Birthright, Tri-County Pregnancy Center, and PASS - to women who choose life. In the last 30 years, I have donated time and/or money to these organizations.

ISSUE: MARRIAGE

The definition of the family as one man, one woman, married with children is 6,000 year old practice. This unit has proven to be the best fundamental entity upon which to build and maintain a society. I will support the traditional family. In the 30 states that the people have voted on redefining marriage-the traditional definition of marriage has won each time. Any changes to the definition of marriage should not come from the judiciary or the legislature. If any changes to marriage are adopted, these changes should result from citizen initiative and non-binding referendum.

ISSUE: GUN RIGHTS

SPRINGFIELD GOVERNOR'S DEBATE, 2nd AMENDMENTQUESTION- WATCH ANDRZEJEWSKI'S ANSWER

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” 2nd Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America.

The Supreme Court’s Ruling states that the Second Amendment prevents the government from infringing on the individual's right to own guns. The right of law abiding citizens to keep and bear arms is a fundamental, individual Constitutional right. We have a responsibility to ensure that criminals who violate the law are prosecuted to the fullest, rather than restricting the rights of law abiding citizens. Law abiding citizens should not be asked to give up their rights because of the criminal's - who ignore gun control laws anyway - use of guns.

I learned to appreciate gun ownership while growing up rural Herscher, Illinois. I saw the positive use of guns for hunting and recreation. After spending years in Chicago, I also comprehend the need of guns for self-defense and protection of one’s life and liberty.

I support gun ownership rights while taking steps necessary to prevent criminals from using guns to harm the public. We can start by actively enforcing the criminal laws we already have on the books and quit passing legislation that only impacts the law-abiding gun owner.

I like him because he's NOT A POLITICIAN. Per his Bio...

Adam Andrzejewski was raised in the close knit, farming community of Herscher, IL, in Kankakee County. He is the oldest of 7 children.

In a county beleaguered by unemployment, his father worked two jobs, as a school teacher and real estate agent, to provide for the family. Early in life, Adam relied on his family, faith and rural community while developing his tough work ethic.

Adam worked various odd jobs helping those in the town and worked in the hot summer fields alongside the local farmers. During college years, he worked at a suburban insurance company and also at a construction company as a laborer. His life experiences taught him the value of each hard earned dollar. He was frugal and saved his earnings, allowing him to graduate from Northern Illinois University with a business degree.

After college, Adam and his brother started a family publishing business. The Andrzejewski brothers published hometown phonebooks and competed against the perceived "monopoly" of the telephone company's yellow page directories. Rather than publish a large "Chicago sized" directory, these new community telephone books matched local residents to their local businesses. Knowing that 87% of purchases were made within a seven mile radius of home, the smaller, hyper-local phonebooks were very useful. Starting from their apartments, Adam and his brother employed 150 people after nine years, and sales grew to nearly $20 million. Adam's company received national recognition in Success Magazine in the Summer 2006 issue. The company is headquartered in Dekalb, IL in a 27,000 square foot building. In January of 2007, Adam sold his share of the still very successful business. But rather than retire at age 37, Adam then founded the ForTheGoodOfIllinois organization.

The mission of ForTheGoodOfIllinois is to bring transparency, accountability, efficient service, and frugality to Illinois governments. Just like in business, Adam is results oriented. His organization spearheaded the financial transparency movement. Starting with Illinois school districts, Adam trained hometown people to ask their own school districts to post their check register online. The result is that over $1 billion in checks detailing spending of taxpayer money have been posted to local websites! In January of 2009, Adam was the resource of DuPage Auditor Bob Grogan as DuPage County became the first county of 102 in Illinois to post their spending. Then, Adam was a resource for Commissioner Tony Peraica- as the Cook County Board voted to post their checkbook! Adam resigned from ForTheGoodOfIllinois before announcing his candidacy for Governor.

He truly is a DAVID going up against the GOLIATH machine - then again, we all know how David and Goliath turned out! (Let's face it...all the papers are reporting on is Quinn and Hynes). He's almost like a Tea Party candidate, having come out of nowhere with his conservative, fiscally responsible views.

Anyway, thought I'd share this bit of information with you but try to go to his site. There are videos a-plenty there. I've signed up to make phone calls and display a yard sign.

Pass this on to other Illinois voters who's stances might align with his. And DON'T FORGET TO VOTE FEBRUARY 2nd!! We don't need another Blago idiot in due to the liberals being the only ones to turn out the vote. Plus, we have to make up for all the dead people that are going to be voting :lkick:
