…… Help compass repair question

Hi all,
Got this as a early Bday gift nifty as it goes w/WWI Bauch and Lomb E series binocs
This a a Gurdy Lensatic early WWII Period by lack of markings and black card
need to find out what gague the sight wire is supposed to be has screws so I ‘should’ be able to fix it

It looks like 34 gauge is the thinnest available. I would try that.

OK will try with that my other one has more or less a 2mm bar of all things (and no screws, just pressed into the top)

This one goes on display with the E series binoculars it has honest to God radium dial markings

Man did we used to carry surplus compasses in our pockets?!!!
