DD, I know you love your home, but if stores like restaurants don't open back up, Portland will become like downtown Detroit was in the 60s-1985 (or so) -- a vast wasteland with no open bars, stores, or restaurants. You do not want to live in a wasteland like that. So I hope you have a Plan B.

Now, since Portland has other features, I suspect the PTB won't let it become another Detroit, but if you find yourself having to take a bus or Uber out of town to buy groceries (yes, I know they can be mail-ordered) but I'm giving you a potential line in the sand: consider moving!

I don't say this lightly at all. I left Columbus, OH. I LOVED my little house. But the neighborhood was rapidly going downhill and the city was being overrun by commies. It was the right decision and now I have an even better little house because it is near bike trails and water, plus 100% safer.

It looks my timing is off. All the liberal hordes fleeing NYC etc are driving up rural real estate land prices. I misjudged it since I figured all real estate would go down by now. Even a one bedroom, 8 by 40, 700 plus sq clayton movile home is pushing $45,000 before transport and setup. I feel sorry for all the rural people and preppers who are now being buried under all the rich liberals that destroyed the cities they are now fleeing in terror to live next to you. Inbound, binary transexual headed to be YOUR NEIGHBOR See, assuming I'm alive in a year I may be living in Paul Allen's condo.

The county sheriff has reduced the alert level for my area from a 3 (leave now) to a level 2 (stay ready)... Thank You JESUS!!! HEADING BACK HOME in a few hours ... The temperature, wind and humidity changes have made a huge difference

I live on Milk Creek DD about 10 feet above flood stage. I don't think its rained enough here yet to flood .
