OT/MISC Harry and Meghan Return to England (Royal Drama)

He is/can be a "soft power" asset for the current gov.
Harry will be lucky if his money-making schemes and drug use don't get him in more legal trouble. He--and certainly Meghan--will never be trusted by the king or the government with any assignment. He'll be lucky to get any support when William takes charge. If it turns out Harry and Meghan lied about their children's births (via surrogates), the public outcry will likely lead to them losing titles immediately.

I strongly agree with you that if conclusive information regarding use of surrogates became public, there would be an immediate outcry to remove their titles (and only half joking) exile them permanently. Lest anyone think there would be behind the scene maneuvers to hush it up and keep it quiet, think again. It would get out, one way or the other, and the resulting brouha would be far worse than any other scandal this royal family has experienced. It's my opinion they realize the cover-up is always far worse than whatever happened, and would grit their teeth, face it head-on, and then "carry on".

There are many people (and I was once amongst them) who don't understand that removing the titles isn't as easy as a stroke of a pen. The British Parliament is who decides it must be done, OR, as in the case of Andrew, the title is voluntarily relinquished, but fat chance that would ever occur with Harry. Harry's title and family ties are all he has. Charles is limited by virtue of the constitutional monarchy; his powers are not absolute.

Best case they diana Meghan and the kids erasing the problem. That would have far, far less black eyes. And trust me the folks I know that are royal followers do think this is a valid path they could, maybe even should take.
