Happy thanksgiving to all my TB2K family. 2020 has been a roller coaster through hell for all of us. But look at the blessings we do have. We can get up in the morning. Loved ones (of fur and human ones) are around us. We have a roof over our head, we have jobs and work, and best of all we have each other.
This year has been a plane crash on wheels; but we all still have blessings to be thankful for.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! I have SO much to be thankful for that its really hard to list it all.
My family is healthy and everyone has jobs, a grandbaby coming next month, a good roof over our heads, plenty of firewood, food to eat, friends, a church family that is amazing, and so much more. I'm one of those that feels like I'm on borrowed time too. If not for the marvels of modern medicine youngest son and I would've died at his birth and those marvels saved me three years ago again. So I am thankful for every single day.....even the ones that aren't so good. This year has been rough on a lot of people I know. To me its kind of been a blessing. It let me slow down from a crazy schedule and get back in touch with being the homebody I really am.

Happy Thanksgiving!!! This week I've been listing the things I'm grateful for - and I would have to include the fellowship, concern, and friendship found on these pages with all of you. I can't number the things that I use in my life, the information I have to draw on, and the perspectives on the world I've created - with your help and guidance. I hope your day is blessed. I hope you and your families are healthy. And I hope you are able to look around you and see the blessings God has placed in your life. (Even some of our struggles can be blessings.) God Bless You all!

'Acknowledging with grateful hearts' - George Washington's First Thanksgiving Proclamation
By the President of the United States of America. A Proclamation.

Whereas it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor; and Whereas both Houses of Congress have, by their joint committee, requested me to “recommend to the people of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer, to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many and signal favors of Almighty God, especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness:”

Now, therefore, I do recommend and assign Thursday, the 26th day of November next, to be devoted by the people of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being who is the beneficent author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be; that we may then all unite in rendering unto Him our sincere and humble thanks for His kind care and protection of the people of this country previous to their becoming a nation; for the signal and manifold mercies and the favorable interpositions of His providence in the course and conclusion of the late war; for the great degree of tranquility, union, and plenty which we have since enjoyed; for the peaceable and rational manner in which we have been enable to establish constitutions of government for our safety and happiness, and particularly the national one now lately instituted for the civil and religious liberty with which we are blessed, and the means we have of acquiring and diffusing useful knowledge; and, in general, for all the great and various favors which He has been pleased to confer upon us.

And also that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations and beseech Him to pardon our national and other transgressions; to enable us all, whether in public or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctually; to render our National Government a blessing to all the people by constantly being a Government of wise, just, and constitutional laws, discreetly and faithfully executed and obeyed; to protect and guide all sovereigns and nations (especially such as have shown kindness to us), and to bless them with good governments, peace, and concord; to promote the knowledge and practice of true religion and virtue, and the increase of science among them and us; and, generally to grant unto all mankind such a degree of temporal prosperity as He alone knows to be best.

Given under my hand, at the city of New York, the 3d day of October, A.D. 1789.

Good morning and happy thanksgiving to you all.

We were going to have turkey with my in-laws this afternoon but DH woke up feeling funky (and not the good James Brown kind) so we are staying home.

He was working in close proximity to someone who tested positive on Tuesday so we suspect the rona. Clinics are closed today so we'll have to venture out tomorrow for a test. I guess I'll have to get tested too, though I feel fine. He has mild flu symptoms.

The 5 year old was really looking forward to playing with his little cousin, he has no other kids around to play with, but we'll find other ways to entertain ourselves. Fortunately he is a very healthy kid and seems to be feeling ok so far. The teenager won't be up for a while but hopefully she's ok too.

It sure has been a crazy year and all you can do is roll with the changes as best as possible. I sincerely love and appreciate all of you, and send blessings and good vibes your way!

Don’t let the Piss Ants get you down…
What a great bunch of thoughts and reflections to begin the day of Thanks with!

We still do live in the greatest and best nation on this earth.

The future may (ok, WILL) offer challenges but if any people are up to the challenge, it’s the traditional American.

Have a GREAT T-Day and enjoy the fellowship, both physically and virtually!

Best Regards,

Jeff B.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
I am actually giving thanks for the hard times I've had lately, for it is a constant reminder that God provides and upholds us all with His love.
Every day is a gift, every person in your life is a gift (even if you don't think so at the time)
and every event is an opportunity to draw closer to Him.
