Soon to be swept under the carpet. Milwaukee and Brown Deer Police have no clue.

Think about it, some crackhead waving a gun around on a Sunday morning. Don't worry, nobody died. Next time I hope they rob the Police Chief and The Mayor while they are out golfing.

Time for Wisconsin to issue CCW permits.

Golfers robbed on the 16th tee

An armed robbery on the golf course at Brynwood Country Club Saturday morning startled a foursome and their caddies, but could not keep the club's golfers from their game.

When the party of six, four golfers and two caddies, reached the 16th tee shortly after 11 a.m. a lone gunman emerged from nearby woods and said, "Give me your money," according to police.

Armed with a handgun and covering his face with a mask, the gunman robbed two of the golfers and one of the caddies before fleeing into the woods at the club, located at 6200 W. Good Hope Road.

Officials at the club said the foursome finished their round of golf following the incident. And no one at the club cancelled tee times either yesterday or today.

The club did send a statement about the robbery to its members saying no one was harmed. The club's management and members are working closely with the Milwaukee Police Department to identify and apprehend the suspect.

"We are disturbed by the situation that has unfolded today, but relieved that no one was injured," read the notice to club members on Saturday. "The incident was an unusual occurrence at our club. Brynwood Country Club has a nearly 80-year history as one of the most prestigious country clubs in the Midwest."

The note went on to say that, "beginning with the first tee time (Sunday), we will have a security detail on the course to discourage anyone to enter the course. As an additional safety measure, we would request that all golfers carry their cell phones on the course and immediately report any suspicious activity to the receptionist."

well, I wonder if it was a golfer. Reason being, who thinks about golfers being out at 6:30 or so in the am unless they have done it themselves?

I live with two golf nuts, hubby, and my son who has played on a semi professional tour. I really think only someone who's been there and done that would have such a thing occur to them, unless he lived near a golf course and noticed the activity. Probably figured they were loaded or something.

Wisconsin is the LAST STATE IN THE UNION that absolutely DOES NOT ALLOW CCW (or even open carry) for ANY REASON. Nor can you own pepper spray or tasers. Yes, the ultra-liberal rat-bastards running this state demand that you DIE if necessary "for the good of the State."

So... f'em.

This is a true story, but I am not sure if I have all the details exactly right, but back about 8 years ago, a golfer was driving his cart on a course in Atlanta and when he came around a corner some guy jumped out of the bushes and tried to rob him. The golfer whips out his own gun. Now I don't remember if he shot the guy or not but the golfer didn't lose any of his money that day and I am sure the robber had to go clean his undershorts.

CCW or not, how hard would it be to carry a small Ruger .380 semi-auto in DAO or a J-frame snubby in .38 Special? Just suppose that each of the golfers were armed with somethng!

I protected my life in Seoul, Korea some 45 years ago by producing a small pocket pistol when a workman went into a martial arts stance and tried to intimidate me. The look on his face was priceless as he realized my Gun-Fu trumped his Kung-Fu. Did I understand that what I did was against military regs? Of course I did, but I am still here 45 years later and not DOA or left injured from that encounter.
