That head and shoulders top just printed on silver's 30-minute and 1-hour charts is kinda ugly. Look for a correction down to 31.5-32 near term.

At some point in time, not too far away, all markets are going to start to break; ratios will dramatically change; assets with prices long held-up by unnatural and cheap debt, and extreme manipulation, will collapse. Governments will struggle mightily to retain even just a slight semblance of normalcy. Some of our predictions will be right; some wrong.

Careful what you wish for. Wonderful times. Terrible times.

Shaky shake.... weak hands out....

Most people can't even save a dollar fiat. They have to spend it now, though today is not really that stupid. Because of inflation. If they trade dollars for stuff that's inflating.

Plus the fiat shorts, bunch of scumbags.

It's fairly predictable that they press-down on prices going-in to week end.
It makes the technicals look more the way they want them.
Patience.

I have watched this market for 25 years. The shorts have beat the longs on "Triple Witching" option expiration 3 times in 25 years. The last 2 quarters, and one in 2011.

The market IS changing.

Buckle up. It's going to get rough.
So where are you thinking prices are going?

Since I believe that we will experience the "death of the dollar", there is only 1 way, generally, which is up.
Inflation is baked in the cake, so we have that going for higher prices. And probably shorter term, rather than longer.
All in my humble opinion. The road is fraught with potholes and broken pavement. be careful out there. I am clearly NOT an investment advisor. There is nothing, that I know of that is MORE volatile than commodity investing. You REALLY have to be able to take a 50% retracement. They happen a lot.

It seems exceedingly rare for any chart to be "moonward only". Retracements are virtually always part of any trip to the moon.
That having been said, is anyone here who bought an ounce of PM's 15 years ago not regretting sacrificing a bit more and buying two instead of one???
LOL
Fast forward 15 years...I don't think you will care what you paid now and you will regret not buying more.
I'm thinking....hmmm...an asset that a third party doesn't have access to. Private. Can just hand it to a child and say, "enjoy your tax free inheritance by handing it to your kids". I realize eventually someone will piss away my hard earned labor, BUT, at some point an ounce of silver might save a life??? Who knows...all I know is its value will never be zero, unlike fiat.

The upshot there is that you will be dead, and you will not care anyway. Either you will be entirely too happy for it to matter or you will have much, MUCH bigger problems.

I asked my son recently, given the choice, would he rather do adventure travel with the DW & I, or have a larger inheritance.

He went for the adventure travel!

Africa, here we come!

Not a bad play. I told my folks to spend what they had. Who needs much more legacy than a paid-off house and land, anyway? With no kids on my end and any prospects for same a dwindling hope, it's all getting plowed into a philanthropic fund when I die anyway.

History reveals anytime there’s a big upheaval shift economically, financially and/or monetarily, the overwhelming majority are always on the wrong side of it and are the worst hurt.

That tiny minority of contrarians today stacking gold, silver & lead instead of paper 401k’s, mutual funds, treasuries, equities, bonds, etc., will likely, soon enough, be very happy for it and their families very grateful.

True, but prepare to be living in something less than a first-world country for a while.

If Harris wins they'll blame a crash on Russia and use it as a pretense for war. If Trump wins and keeps the peace they'll blame it on his financial mismanagement. Either way holding some $ outside of dollar denominated debt is a prudent move.

My uncle got out of East Germany in the late 40s by bribing a soldier with gold jewelry to look the other way while his family went over the wire.

My great uncles were saved from Red Soldiers in the Russian Revolution by their aunt who gave them her bracelet or ring. They were small boys taking food off dead soldiers and I guess they got caught and so the story goes were to be executed because the Reds thought they were Jewish.

I've read hundreds of similar stories and have prepared accordingly!

Anyone who says "x" can't happen here! Has a very juvenile understanding of the world, and of humans in general.
Not only "can" most all the things that have ever happened, happen here, but given enough time, they will most certainly rhyme with what came before...
I suspect the next "it can't happen here" to happen here and nation wide, is famine.

If the Communists manage to get their way, it will rhyme with holodomor.
'Fammine'?
Close enough.

I gave a lady friend of mine a 2010 shiny Silver American Eagle back then as a gift. Told her to put it away, that it might save her life one day. She just gave me a nervous laugh, but I bet she remembers what I said.

History is litter with those stories. I believe the British used to put gold coins ( sovereigns?) in their pilots bail out gear as they were universally recognized as valuable and the hope was they could buy some aid to escape. They may still I don’t know.

I don't think people buying gold are true contrarians. It is common enough around the world even if it is just in the form of jewelry, etc.
