Ha! We just used ours to fish out three, 2 week old kittens from inside the wall in the horse stall! You've gotta love a grandpa who will spend 40 minutes fishing for kittens with tongs, so the granddaughters can have them to love on!We use them as castanets at our house

I've seen some pretty big (harmless) grass spiders in the Mitten State.
Also some terrifying looking HUGE spiders light colored, with plump round backs, marks on them and I don't know what they are. I call them Garage Spiders because that's where I find them. Just never wanted to persue what they really are... some things I don't need to know.

Trapdoor spiders can get quite large. They also carry they're babies around on the back after they hatch. Found that out when hubby fished what looked to be a dead spider out of the pool. He dropped it off the skimmer and all the babies fell off and started scattering.
