This site shows a video how you can freeze whole avocados. From reading the comments, it looks like it affects the texture but it seems like it would still work great for guacamole.

I’m excited to experiment with it. I eat more avocados than any other fruit/vegetable.

This is good to know. With avocados being 3 or 4 for a $1 for the past month or so. Been eating a lot of fresh guacamole.

I finally tested this out tonight. I didn’t give it enough time to thaw (instructions say to run under hot water and then let sit on the counter about 30 min). It made really smooth guacamole.

You have to wait to freeze when they’re at the level of ripeness you like to eat them.

I’ll definitely freeze more now that I’ve tested them out. I’m so happy to be able to have fresh guacamole!
