Received an email this morning from freezedrywholesalers.com. Thought maybe some would be interested.
They seem to have a lot of foods that no one else has. Packaged in super mylar for storage up to 10 years and beyond.
Antway I can't vouch for them as this is the first I knew about them

Was checking out Safecastles prices on Mountain House meat and was blown away by the cost. Good Lord I could make a fortune selling on Ebay. I paid less than half for my freeze dried meat. Personally, I think we are being had by somebody just don't know who or what. I won't be buying anymore that's for sure.

I ordered freeze dried around 07 from safecastle and LDS. Good thing I did then because I could never do that again. I've never used any of it, but always felt comfortable having it,

For the most part, you don't need expensive freeze dried survival food. Most ordinary canned food from the supermarket has incredibly long shelf lives if kept cool and dry. Tomato-based and citrus canned food doesn't last as long, but it's still pretty good.

I have a couple of friends with thousands of dollars in freeze dried foods stashed and while I don't criticize them for this I will note that we equally have thousands of dollars of supermarket food put away and probably have four to six times as much food for the same bucks.

Most canned food's expiration dates can bevsafely ignored as long as the cans don't show signs of damage or swelling.
