Some time tomorrow, my latest book, Stormcrow, which is a sci-fi novel, will be offered for free on Amazon by my publisher. I don't think he's advertising it, but I am.

If you read my 'Shade' fanfiction, the know that Stormcrow is the character that Shade was based on. He finally has his own tale, lol.

Anyway, if you like to read about people in space keeping secrets from one another and a pilot who specializes in controlled crashes, you can pick this one up free tomorrow :D


If you do get it, and like it, be sure and review if you do that kind of thing (some don't like to and that's cool) so I know it!

Parno's Destiny, the second book in the series, is in the publisher's hands. I got a sneak peek at the cover today and will share the final version here when I get it. As soon as I know the release date I'll post it, too. Destiny clocked in at just over 150k words, so I hope it's worth the wait! And thank you!

Bad there is only one thing wrong with your new book, Stormcrow. I just started reading it and can already tell that my chores are going to suffer greatly. I think I'm going to pack myself a lunch and put it by the computer because this is where I'm going to be for awhile.

Bad, this book has taken a turn for the strange. The wife doesn't notice that a bull dyke is trying to come between her and her husband? And Stormcrow is a psycho and what in the world is the seemingly meek teacher? Is the cook a mafia boss? Lol

So I'm currently running on about 3 hrs of sleep bc I started this last night and just couldn't put it down! Loved it, hoping for a sequel to wrap up some of the items at the end of the story. As always, outstanding!!

This is the first book in a series, so yes there will be a sequel. There should be four or five books in the series at least, depending on how well the story moves. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'll post something here on TB2K when the second book is ready. That will be a while, however, lol.

Got it, couldn't hardly put it down. Finally finished it last night and gave it a 5 star. That is some fine writing!!

Now, I'd like to be able to purchase the rest of the series... there's plenty of room to write from the way it ended.

Lord willing that I live so long, there should be four or five more in that series, give or take. I wrote the first one to open up several avenues I can explore later. I'm glad you liked and thanks for reviewing it!

I didn't want to start a new thread, but the second book in the STORMCROW series was released a few days ago. For a while at least, the publisher is offering it at around half price of normal, too. Several of the other titles are also reduced, I think for Thanksgiving. I didn't hear how long this would last, but probably at least through the weekend.

IF you enjoyed the first book, then check out the second. I hope you enjoy it as well.

I've had Stormcrow for some time, and enjoyed it.

I like this character.

If one cares for sci fi it's good. Lot more to the tale than this one story covers, and part of a persistent world of other characters also.

I'm really glad you enjoyed it. I kind of look at Stormcrow as a story that happens to be set in the future. I don't lean too heavily on the 'science' part of science-fiction because it doesn't really fit that narrative, at least this set of characters doesn't. I have written sci-fi, with space battles and what not, but Stormcrow isn't meant to be that. The ship is just the vehicle that carries the characters to different worlds and cultures, not the centerpiece. And if you want to set a story in a far flung government of planets, you're gonna need a space ship :D

The best sci fi to me doesn't focus on techno magic, but on the story.

kind of like star trek was good because of stories,

Star wars was all about special effects and fun cause no one had done that, but the story alone was kinda meh to me.

Anyway aye was a good story.

I was coming on this thread to recommend stormcrow-which I gladly purchased,read and reviewed some time back- when Lo and behold! Bad mentions the second in the series!! Off to purchase and devour, I mean - read!!

Thanks everyone. I'm glad you enjoyed it. And there will, Lord willing I live, be a third Stormcrow, and probably several more. Right now though I'm working on the latest Parno novel, hoping to have it ready before year's end. After that I have a few other projects working, including a surprise surprise surprise, assuming I can pull it off.
