Starbucks hired every blue-haired barista who ever yelled “late-stage capitalism” at a drive-thru, and a few years later they’re shuttering another 250 stores.
Turns out customers still prefer coffee that doesn’t come with a side of attitude and a mandatory pronoun lecture.
The market has spoken. And it said “no thanks, I’ll take my overpriced latte from somewhere that still remembers what a customer is.”
RIP to the 250 locations. May their Wi-Fi passwords rest in peace.
