TERRORISM Flydubai flight to Israel diverted to Saudi Arabia after emergency alert

Odd that the NYT reports this as an altercation between the pilots. Don't want to say moslem terror attack? Why? Because it may cause people to think about Abdul al Sayed and wonder if he's a terrorist? Or wonder about Zoltar Mandami in NYC? Concerned that the sleep walking Americans just may wake up?
All part of the psyop run by the propagandist press.
You mean the same Mandami who just got his FEDERAL Security Clearance issued!??!

Security: Slipped through the cracks with FlyDubai
The agency's reasoning was straightforward: it considered security measures at Emirati airports insufficient, and since the Shin Bet is responsible for securing Israeli flights to and from Israel, it dug in and blocked those flights from going ahead.

That dispute connects to this incident. The security measures in place for flights to Israel could plausibly have helped prevent this attack — especially given that the pilot appears to have brought the weapon on board himself, whether a knife or an axe (it remains unclear which he used to stab the co-pilot in his attempt to crash the plane).

It's worth being precise about jurisdiction here. The Shin Bet is responsible for Israeli flights; the Ministry of Transportation is responsible for foreign airlines departing from Israel; and the Mossad is responsible for thwarting international terrorist threats abroad. This incident — a foreign airline, a foreign pilot — doesn't sit squarely inside any one of those mandates.

Investigators are also examining, though far from conclusively, whether the pilot intended to seize control of the aircraft over Jordanian airspace and crash it somewhere inside Israel shortly after. It's one line of inquiry, not an established finding.

On the broader alert picture: there had been a general uptick in terror-warning traffic, but the dominant concern regarding the Emirates was a different kind of threat altogether — an attack at the airport itself, or a missile strike, the sort of scenario recalled from the 2002 attack in Mombasa targeting Israelis. As far as I know, the specific scenario that played out here — the pilot himself being the attacker — wasn't raised in any prior discussion. That's something that will need to be investigated.

Hijacker/co-pilot was from Oman 'greater royal' family
1. The pilot hijacker - the Oman national - was not allowed to be a pilot per the Abraham Accords signed between Israel and the UAE.In the Abrahama Accords agreement, only nationals from countries that recognize both Israel and UAE can be pilots between the UAE and Israel. This is a major violation of the Abraham Accords.

2. The plane landed in Saudi Arabia, just a 45 minute flight from Israel.

The Saudis REJECTED Israel's request to send an Israeli plane and pilots to pick up the passangers, and demanded another plane be sent from FlyDubai in the UAE delaying them getting home by hours. (Why is Israel helping the Saudis against the Houthis again?)

3. The Oman pilot (like all pilots in the Gulf), can only be pilots if you are from the greater royal families. He was among the most prominent and connected citizens in Oman.

Similar to the Saudi 9/11 hijackers.

When you've lost CNN....

The pilot in the CNN OutFront clip is Aaron Murphy, a commercial pilot and flight instructor. He is sitting in a flight simulator recreating the Flydubai FZ1073 incident so viewers can see what the cockpit and the aircraft itself would have looked like during the sudden dive.@CNN

Murphy’s point at the end of the segment is that the dive was not just violent to sit through — it was close to structurally unsurvivable. In the simulator, the horizon drops away, the jet pitches steeply nose-down, and overspeed warnings start screaming as the aircraft accelerates through the plunge. His conclusion is blunt: a descent that steep and that fast would have torn the airplane apart.

GarybPilot said that this aircraft had a crash axe in the cockpit, to help with evacuation and such in the event of a crash landing. It's possible and probable that the first officer used that to attack and attempt to murder the captain. Gary also speculated (and he made it clear that he didn't yet know for sure) that the first officer might have planned to kill the captain and then use the plane as a manned missile to strike some target in Israel. His reasoning behind that was that if the first officer simply wanted to crash the plane, he could have done that without killing the captain and that the captain probably could not have stopped him from doing so.

He also said the plane was overspeeded by over 100 knots during the rapid descent from about 33000 ft to about 17000 ft.

Nobody knows anything definitively, yet. The black box will likely have additional information.

"In opposition to CNN's segment with Erin Burnett, other pilots and investigators with comparable credentials have not treated survival as impossible or as evidence the tracking data are false. They describe an excursion beyond normal limits that produced partial structural failure and a narrow recovery:
  • Steve Arroyo, a former United Airlines pilot, told the Associated Press the descent and aerodynamic loads on the rudder were severe and that he was “amazed the aircraft didn’t come apart.”
  • Jeff Guzzetti, a former NTSB and FAA accident investigator, told the AP the pull-out was remarkable and that remaining altitude was decisive; continued descent below about 10,000 feet would have left little chance of recovery.
  • Other commercial and military pilots commenting publicly noted ground speed rising toward 600 knots (estimates of roughly 100 knots above maximum operating speed), rudder separation under those dynamic pressures, and recovery only because the dive was arrested with altitude still in hand and because additional Flydubai pilots were already aboard as passengers (deadheading for duty-time reasons) and could take the controls once the cockpit struggle ended.
"The consistent explanation is therefore not that the loads were mild, but that the airframe absorbed an overspeed and high descent rate long enough for control to be restored before ground impact or total breakup.

"Transport-category jets are certified to limit maneuvering loads (typically +2.5 g to –1 g) with ultimate loads 1.5 times higher, plus additional margins; control surfaces such as the rudder can separate under extreme dynamic pressure while the primary wing and fuselage structure remain intact. Passenger reports of a strong G-force sensation lasting tens of seconds align with that picture. Precise load factors, indicated airspeed, and Mach number will come from the flight-data recorder; ADS-B tracks used so far have coarser resolution and gaps during the steepest segment.

"The observed rudder damage and the comments from Arroyo, Guzzetti, and others treat the outcome as an exceedance that the airframe partially tolerated, not as evidence of a specially reinforced MAX airframe. Training simulators illustrate trajectory and handling; they do not physically fail the virtual airframe, so Murphy’s disintegration remark is an engineering judgment based on the rates rather than a simulator output."

I used AI/Grok for the explanation: I don't have the expertise to explain it myself.

The simple explanation of how it survived beyond published limits is safety factors used in engineering design.

Say a material should be able to handle 100 pounds of force. With a safety factor of 2, a product would be designed to be exposed to no more than 50 pounds of force on the material in worst case situations. If it was exposed to 65 pounds of force, it would be beyond worst case design limits but still within theoretical material limits.

Things like steel aircraft cable used for lifting have a safety factor of 5x the real limit. It's called safe working load.

So, this pilot is also an airline design and structural engineer?

No surprise: False flag accusations flying around. This ignores decades of evidence of Israel going to great lengths to rescue or ransom its citizens, and to revenge the murders of their civilians.
Hatred of Israel runs so deep that INSANE allegations against Israel and the Jews are unsurprising--though still ignorant and illogical.

Goes all the way back to the "poisoning of wells" and "drinking baby's blood with their Passover bread" of the Middle Ages.

Something else to consider: US airlines have employees sympathetic to radical Muslim causes
We may have entered a new era where terrorists don’t have to figure out how to bypass TSA or breach the cockpit - they are now inside the cockpit already.

And it’s not limited to pilots. Since Oct 7, there have been reports of flight attendants wearing keffiyehs or Palestinian flag pins across every major US carriers.

FAs have access to the flight deck, and it doesn’t take much these days for one to figure out how to keep a plane airborne.

It’s not just about Muslims. There could be hundreds, if not thousands of useless idiots with suicidal sympathies in the industry who could be radicalized & manipulated.

That’s the part that concerns me.In other words, that’s a lot of potential for copycats finding inspiration from the Flydubai incident. And neither the airline & security industries or the public are ready to take on that.

At this time, its still an ongoing investigation, yet, there are all kinds of posts on other social media sites with claims its a false flag. Those posts don't offer any solid, verifiable evidence at all. Some sites even post heavily edited video that allegedly shows what they're claiming.

Makes no sense.

At any other time, this would be what it appears to be - a terrorist attempt to create a mass casualty event. The evidence released already points towards that yet the slew of 'internet experts' are all screaming about 'false flag' and how the plane can't do what it did.

So, based on all that evidence. nod, nod, wink, wink, these alleged experts are not only aviation engineers, but also pilots. And don't forget someone even mentioned they spoke with air marshals and the alleged air marshal stated the plane just can't do that. So that means that air marshals are now aviation engineers and pilots too? Who knew?

That has to be a really awesome job. Not only can you design aircraft in your spare time, you can also fly them and detain and arrest people. Makes one wonder how long that training program is and what the continuing education requirements are.

And all these 'experts' have yet to produce anything solid that points towards a false flag event. What makes this event different from other events?

Makes more sense that is another terrorist contrived event than a false flag. Every single country in SWA hates Israel and will do anything to kill Israelis given the chance.

What's missing from all these claims is the dentist who stabilized the stabbed pilot. The flight crew that was dead heading, not an uncommon occurrence, that took control of the aircraft and what has been reported, a heavily stressed airframe, and landed it. Apparently, the common occurrence of having flight crews dead head on commercial aircraft is another false flag sign. Really?

Seems a lot of people on social media are completely out of touch with any form of reality.

Not at all surprising.

Concerns that he had adopted radical ideological views.

Despite that, the Omani national was later hired by FlyDubai and allowed to pilot one of the most sensitive routes in the region:

Dubai to Tel Aviv.

We still don't know whether Oman shared its concerns with the UAE, FlyDubai or anyone else.

And that may now be the most important question in the investigation.

Because if Oman didn't share the warning, this is an intelligence-sharing failure.

If it did, the question becomes considerably worse:

How did a pilot another country had already grounded over radicalization concerns end up in the cockpit of Flight 1073?!

The only thing that gave me the heebie-jeebies on this one was listening to Bibi speak. He was acting, poorly, in my estimation. But, because there is no proof of a false flag, that means little to me.

Oh, and the huge problem with Oct 7th. But that is a different story.

I don't know if we have a pilot that's flown these jets on here that could answer this but I'll ask. The Plumber says that to get the plane out of the dive he simply pulled back on the yoke. I'm thinking he would also have to reduce engine speed at the same time? And if I'm correct where is the location of the engine controls in relation to the pilot and copilot seats. Just something I've been thinking about.

The plane made a sharp turn and the flight path led directly to one of our bases in Jordan. It's possible the FO was going to fly below the ridgeline of the mountains to avoid radar and crash the plane into an American base.

OR, think about this, fly the plane into Israel where the Israeli air force would have had to shoot down the plane. Think of the implications of that.

These radical Islamists are diabolical.

So, the flight dropped 17,000 feet in 35 seconds. And in that 35 seconds, passengers were not thrown around in weightlessness, broken bones, head injuries, and yet they could advance on the cockpit and a plumber takes down the hijacker. And the airplane did not disintegrate from the excessive speed and G forces of the pullout.

They really think, and maybe rightfully so, that there are many stupid people believing this.

To reproduce weightlessness on a large aircraft, the plane must achieve a state of true free fall by flying a precise parabolic flight path (Keplerian trajectory). True weightlessness occurs when the aircraft and its contents accelerate toward the Earth at the exact same rate (\(9.81 m/s^2\)), thereby eliminating the ground reaction force inside the cabin. [1, 2, 3]
The exact technical, operational, and mechanical requirements to safely execute this environment involve specific phases and modifications:

You can google the rest.

Remember, if this was a false flag . . . a bunch of jews would have had to die at the hands of a very specific country like Iran (preferably using nukes) in order for Nathanyahoo to unleash the hounds of hell on . . . which country are you saying attacked zee jews this time?

In order for it to be a false flag, your viewing audience must all recognize the dastards that did it so the jews can kill em.
Who is that?

That is part of it … recovery. Especially if it was going as fast as it was in a dive. But first … if the wings weren’t level ( meaning it was turning) … if they weren’t leveled and pull power back … before pulling the stick back … it could have setup a graveyard spiral.

Not just for that plane. Lots of things went right it seems

This is getting stranger... Never hired by FlyDubai? I suspect interrogators from Saudi Arabia and Oman will get to the bottom of it.
According to Royal Air Maroc, Hammam al-Hamami never worked for the airline as a pilot, despite claiming otherwise on his now-deleted LinkedIn profile.

He completed three months of theoretical training in 2025, but the airline rejected his application.

There are also reports that Oman Air previously removed him from flying duties after discovering extremist material.

The more details emerge about this guy's background, the more questions there are about how he ended up in that cockpit.

When I go over a 3' high rounded little hill driving my car at 40 mph, there is a moment of weightlessness for the 1 second down side. Dropping 17,000 feet in 35 seconds is MORE than weightlessness.... that is a rate of throwing bodies around the cabin. A move like that would disintegrate the airplane in flight. Stick controls- air speed (in excess of 700mph) that could rip off the rudder would not move for the ailerons.

This does not smell like a true event.

The false flag does not require an actual event. They preplan the images, videos, testimonies, news outlets to be used, etc.

You only proved that a Flat Earther can't read (and yes, once you establish yourself as a flat earther, you will always be compared to a flat earther).

In order to achieve weightlessness you have to implement very stringent criteria otherwise, children would be floating off into space on their Stingray bicycles routinely. One has to combine critical factors. There has to be a rise to specific point and a specific speed, when you top out you also cut propulsion to allow your vehicle to continue using inertia to match the force of gravity. And then gravity reasserts and you are falling - which is not weightless.

There is no theory of "a rate of throwing bodies around the cabin" - that is just movie talk.

I just dug out my flight records while doing my Swedish Death Cleaning. I found that I have over 3,000 flying hours on Boeing 707 airframe and 200 operational missions in the "sensitive area", close to the same number of Air Refuelings and two emergency descents from 35,000 feet. Weightlessness does not throw bodies around the cabin. They float. My coffee didn't even spill although you had to hold it sideways to keep it from spilling.
You have to have gravity to toss bodies. The airplane goes up, it pushes you up. The airplane comes down, it pushes you down. That is turbulence, not weightlessness. But if you are just nose down, gear down flaps down, engines full you have plenty of gravity which is measured in G forces. You've heard of "G"s, like in the movies? The reports I read talk about G forces pushing passengers back in their seats - not weightlessness.
You say the aircraft would have disintegrated at 700 knots (that's airplane talk for air speed). That does not means it and it's content separate into their atomic components. It means the vehicle begins to separate into component pieces, often large components. And this one did - the Rudder separated. I would be surprised if the airframe is not bent and is retired.

I generally discard everything you say as "flat earth logic".
In this case the sum total of your experience in the matter is going over a hill in your car.
Good example.

You say a false flag does not require an actual event.
You do not believe the event happened.
You also don't believe the earth is a globe.
This demonstrates that no amount of evidence, science, or experience will convince you otherwise.

The goal of a false flag operation is to hide the true identity of the perpetrator in order to frame an enemy, create a pretext for war, or manipulate public opinion.
I have not seen this materialize. Without one of these it isn't a false flag.

The false flag looks like the people trying to make it into a false flag.

Nice slanders bringing in misconstrued stuff from other threads. I have made it clear numerous times that I cannot prove flat or globe. Nor can you.

As for your flight experience, I guess you never flew in a storm. Just the normal buffeting of "air pockets" and turbulence people get bounced around pretty good.

So, you can't be honest on one count and you can't be honest or accurate on the other. I will give you a chance to recover on item 2. What is the closest experience you have had to suddenly dropping under full throttle more than 10,000 feet in less than 1 minute?

I need no chance to recover. I already explained that turbulence isn’t weightlessness and this incidence was not turbulence.
I can prove the earth is a globe. You cannot prove it is flat.

I rest my case.

Absolutely amazing first hand testimony from the heroic Captain Smith Machchar who fought off his co-pilot hijacker:

"It was It it just was a normal flight, and the the co-pilot offered, I mean, he demand, not demanded, but he wanted to pray, which a lot of locals – they do pray, and which is not out of the ordinary. But while he was praying, out of respect, I was just looking at the front and not at the back. And suddenly, after I think I would say about four or five minutes, there was a big blow to the back of my head.

My first thought was that there was a catastrophic damage to the aircraft, and something is not right. But then, after that, the blows kept coming, one after the other, and that's when I realised that it's not the aircraft; it's the other guy who was in the cockpit with me.

I did try to stop him, but because of his initial blows, my vision was almost like nothing, and I was my I was completely blurred out, and at that point, the next thought I, the next feeling that I had was that the aircraft was sharply going down.

So my memory is still in bits and pieces right now, but this is what I remember out of that time, and I did try to, I did try and manage to open the door once, but I think he shut it back close. And at this point, I remember I was lying down on the cockpit floor, and I felt the aircraft and the whooshing sound and people screaming, and as I was telling the ambassador here that I had that one last fight left in me. That you know, call it personal or call it for people, but let's say I did it. That if I don't do it, I'm going to die.

And that's when I pushed against everything. I gave everything that I had, and just went for the door and opened the door. And thankfully, people were waiting to pounce back, took over the control, and the rest is what you know.
…
The door from the inside has a a twist to open mechanism, and from the outside it can be only opened with a code. So my colleagues from outside were trying to put in the code, but the guy was not allowing to open the code, and the only way to open the door was to reach the knob, and like any other knob, just to twist it open, and it opens on its own. So there is no pin, but yes, the door. It was a short, quick twist, but the the point was to reach to that point, to reach to that place, and once I had my hand on the knob, I, I, I guess I, I, I twisted it and I opened it."

I've seen pilots at Hartsfield enough to know they DO NOT HAVE TO GO THROUGH SECURITY or any checks at all--not even here in America.

They WALK RIGHT IN--separate doors, separate areas---and once at the gate walk RIGHT ONTO THE PLANE.

I wish people were more aware of this.

I believe incidents like those prove this needs to be changed.

Think about how often we've heard of DRUNK pilots just walking in and taking over the controls.
