The FBI on Monday confirmed that the bones found in a Georgia landfill are those of toddler Quinton Simon.

The two-year-old was reported missing last month and whose mother was arrested last week on charges including murder.

The FBI used DNA analysis to confirm that the bones belonged to 20-month-old Quinton Simon, the agency said in a news release.

Chatham County police said on November 21 that they had arrested Leilani Simon, 22, on charges of malice murder, concealing the death of another person, false reporting and making false statements involving her son.

Simon was being held in the Chatham County Jail, and it wasn't immediately clear Monday whether she had an attorney who could comment on her behalf.

Simon called police on October 5 to report that her son was missing from his playpen in their home just outside Savannah.

The remains that were determined to be Quinton's were found in a landfill on November 18.

There is a bit more to this also..... the local radio station has been reporting.....

1) The mother had no parental rights on the child

2) The grandmother who had parental rights regularly left the child with the mother. This is AFTER convincing a court she was a large threat to the life of the child. ie: unfit and able and willing to kill kid type of thing

3) She had a long history of being flat out nuts.... really nuts

4) She and her mother ( grandmother ) went out to the local bar at tybee island and tried to pick up a waiter for sex while the child was missing...

5) The mother was required to pay child support and it was going to start soon.

Bonus:

If has been reported, ( but no 2nd source ) that she said she would never pay any child support.....

We know some of the Simon family from back in the day.

What a sad thing to happen.

From what I hear, the child's mother that did it is in some sort of protective custody or isolation because a lot of folks want a piece of her.

I agree. I figured the Grandmother sought custody of the child because he could serve as a meal ticket, not because she wanted to care for the child. She probably wanted the $$ but not the responsibility which would explain why she left him with the mother.

It's things like this that make me understand why so many liberals speak so lowly of useless eaters...they do exist. A lot of them, but then I see a lot are liberals.....evil is real, knows no bounds.
