Have you considered the proposition that widely scattered residences are incompatible with manufacturing employment and HIGHLY unsustainable?

Have you ALSO considered the proposition that city concentrations are NOT abnormal, but that widely scattered residences might be the abnormality?

I FULLY understand that we need some kind of balance in order to maintain the food-based carrying capacity of our country, so that the other side of the balance coin allows us to manufacture the "things" that the WHOLE of the country needs.

Well..one good thing that MAY come out of this is a recall of home economics and a realization that living paycheck to paycheck on the edge of flipping financial disaster every month without savings and resources is unwise.

Not that I give most people that much credit for an ability to learn, or to rely on common sense, but as a personal fault....I'm a closet optimist.

Why not have the factories, stores, small businesses, etc. in the suburbs/exurbs? All but the larger factories could in large part be quickly moved there by ending all "work out of your home" legal restrictions, MUCH easier/quicker/cheaper than making everyone move back into racial/libtard government sardine hellhole city cores.

Nevermind. You don't see it, and I can't show it to you like my optometrist was able to show me MY blindspot (which every human has. It's where the optic nerve attaches to the retina. Unless someone actually SHOWS it to ya, ya won't believe its there.)
Unfortunately, yours isn't organic.

We'll just have to agree to disagree.

She's about 63. What did you expect? Nonfat, woman-length hair, clean, and well-groomed are about all to hope for in looks for a woman at that age.
I did say this was years ago............but if that is your type, have fun shopping at big Wally world with eye candy in every aisle.

Not worth the shopping these days, as a general rule. Would have to bring a LOT to the table besides looks, and those are either or both of rare or outside my budget.

I don't know ONE person in my state who's sick. I DO know multiple people here (like almost everyone who's not already retired and/or old as hell) who are already in deep financial trouble, with homelessness looming.
I know FIVE in the West County portion of St. Louis County and one of them died yesterday as I posted on another thread. She was the guidance counselor at the high school my kids attended.

Our hospital is deader than dead. No patients, furloughs for employees. There's no overwhelming going on.

Consider yourself fortunate, then. Back in my hometown area, they aren't even admitting people to the hospital unless they're so bad that they need a vent. Otherwise, they send them home. Just aren't enough beds, PPE, or resources. The husband of a friend from high school is at home so sick that a nurse calls every four hours to check in on him. He needs to be in the hospital, but there's no room. I worry about the upcoming day when I begin to lose people I know well and/or care about.

That's just a good lesson to learn in general. I learned it my first year self-employed. :D

Mine is down to 7 pts and furloughs also. But we also have 4 covid and are right next to the second busiest county for cases. It depends on what is going on in your area. For us it may swing to coivd crazy, or may just coast with a few till it fades out.

The stuff in TV is hot spots, be glad we are not in one. We keep forgetting all this non action, this staying home, this no patients in some places was to PREVENT every where being a hot spot. Which is what would of happened if Trump did not shut it down as fast as he did. Same thing happened in China, a few hot spots, but boy were they hot. Think God tho its turned out this way, because there is no way in hell we would have enough PPE if it was hot all over. And more would die because while nurses are brave, we are not that brave. Most of us would start saying “no” If there was no PPE to be had anywhere.
