The UK has a system put in place after two eight-year-olds killed a two-year-old where juveniles under 18 can be sentenced to special Youth Offender places until their mid-20s (I forget, I think it is 25 or 26). At that point, they can be transferred to a regular prison if they are still considered a threat or under certain circumstances.
I don't know their limit for trying a person as an adult - Richard or other British members might know.
As for "autism," I am not sure that is relevant. If he is seriously mentally ill, then he needs to be in prison for the mentally deranged, where he can't hurt anyone.

You are correct. The “genetic” line will continue. Genetics continue. Cultures are replaced. The English culture will be replaced just like the Irish were wiped out and replaced in many areas. The English sold Irish by the tens of thousands into slavery way back when. The English starved multitudes of Irish way back when.
