…… Elaeagnus Berries During Pregnancy?

Hey guys! I wasn't quite sure where to post this thread, but I need some info--it's been surprisingly tricky to find it on the internet. :shr:

So, I just discovered today that there are some Elaeagnus bushes on our property--this refers to the species of berry bushes that include Goumi, Russian Olive, Autumn Olive, etc. The bushes are covered in berries! Whoo hoo! Another great prep "item"! Anyway, I am pregnant and wanted to know if anyone was aware of any warnings about eating this particular species during pregnancy. I know it's not a well known group of plants, but I really don't want the berries to go to waste if I can use them.

Does anyone know anything about this?

I like Russian olives as a snack if I'm out in the pasture in the fall. They are pretty..... alkaline, I guess. Feels like they suck all the moisture out of your mouth.

I doubt you will find anyplace or anyone who will tell you they are safe during pregnancy. It may be that many just don't know whether the berries are or not, but with pregnancy, most providers (doctors, herbalists, etc) are very very cautious.
