As an aside, Mamdani has sort of an anti police stance but I bet in private he's about 200% in favour of Sharia enforcement and towartd that end, is causing current Muslim NYPD Officers to be fast tracked for promotion and NYC's recruitment efforts in all areas to be skewed in favour of adding more, Citizenship be damned.

The NYC electorate brought this on themselves.

Unfortunately the rest of the nation will have to bail them out and I dread to comtemplate what the butcher's bill will look like in terms of treasure wasted and real American lives lost.

An ugly thought for such a pretty Summer day.

Of the 1 million votes cast in the election:

-7% were from nonexistent records
-6% had fake Social Security Numbers
-10% do not live in New York
-1% had no Social Security Number at all

That totals 228,000 votes. Mamdani's margin of victory was 207,570.

Given her apparent heritage (I think VietNamese ethnic Chinese) Ms Hong should be somewhat familiar with "Force and Fury" but she may well have slipped her trolley if she thinks an American Govt of any stripe will permit coordinated military-style operations against a Fed LE organisation.

If she is advocating such, I hope she'll lead from the front on such missions.

A few times she went further in her comments claiming she will use the WI National Guard to arrest and detain ICE agents and hold them in the same detention centers ICE uses.

She never expected to be in this position, suddenly after early voting began the three polling ahead of her imploded (financial and sex scandals) along with another that didn't see a path forward that dropped out. She just wanted visibility to take on Rep Mark Pocan WI-2 Congressqueer in the 2028 election but now she's the front runner in the Primary. The last three weeks has Dems in WI pissing themselves.

Tom Tiffany, the Republican, doesn't even have a primary, hasn't spent anything because everyone in the establishment D party is doing the opposition research to stop her, he already has over $10Million in cash and is just sitting back watching the clownshow although never count him out for getting a good smart ass remark in every day. Hong right now has under $700,000 left in her campaign according to the latest filing.

Nobody thought the implosion that happened the past couple of weeks would even be possible, it's been fun watching it though.

EDIT: The truth is she isn't gaining steam like the media claims, she got to this point because of the incompetent and scandalous activity of the other candidates in the Primary. You have to live here to really understand how bad they are.

First, Mamdani had to backtrack on requiring city IDs just to shop at his publicly-funded Mamdani Marts. Now, he’s admitting that the city has NO CLUE how to actually run a grocery store.

That's why central planning NEVER WORKS. The people in charge have never stocked a shelf or run a business. They have no idea how the free market actually works. But they’ll just keep shouting "It'll be different this time!" as they always do, until it chokes the community to death once again.
