Location in the thread title? Just a thought.
When I saw the headline " Did you feel the shaking" of course I thought another one out here in CA. But instead it's me telling you guys to stay safe. And I will not wish falling into the ocean on you all like some on here wish on us in CA.
Earthquakes are no joke and I pray this isnt a fore shock to something larger.
Wow! That’s pretty intense!Starting to see pictures on local social media now, a fair amount of damage in the Sparta NC area, and a lot of shaking reported all around.View attachment 213453View attachment 213454View attachment 213455View attachment 213456
Ever.Nothing was noticed in Indiana.
Would this be connected with the San Andreas Fault?
Very near my home, reports as far away as Charlotte NC
No damage here, but shook hard and long enough to nearly drop things off shelves, walls, etc.
Gee, what else can happen this year?

Sorry I meant the one in Missouri, New Madrid?
Definitely felt it in NWNC/Ashe County. Watchpuppies went nutz.
Well, the Whittier Quake was only 5.9 and lasted less than 30 seconds. Killed 8 or 10, damaged 1000's of buildings including our warehouse. I was picking up welding rod and abrasives for a month.
I think it was 1987. Called the Whittier Narrows quake. My friend and I were in my warehouse having some coffee and watching Tammy Fay and we just barely made it out when the pallet shelves started breaking apart.Whittier Quake? When did that happen?
An article I read earlier today, said that it is connected to the New Madrid Fault lineSorry I meant the one in Missouri, New Madrid?
