Hard to believe it took decades & decades of various pols & pundits bemoaning Govt. waste & inefficiencies for DOGE to burst upon the scene.

If DJT accomplishes nothing else, this should get him his own mountain.

i saw a clip over the weekend showing workers removing AID signage from a building. Was there any more on that?

I didn't see any announcements about that money pit being shuttered & because my wife was on a group call, I had the audio muted.

I honestly would prefer they keep it and apply it to the principal of any debt. To reduce both the debt and the interest.

And some of the savings is money not spent yet, so not necessarily cash in hand.

Now, if they have signed papers that mean the principal can't be paid down, okay, return it. And make sure every bloody idgit who agreed to that never has a political or government office again, at any level.

And also, if it is trackable directly to any politician, then their assets are sacrificed as product of crime. Just like would happen for any of us regular folks.

I'm hoping to see all those FED ABCD agency private armies alllll consolidated under a Homeland umbrella - possibly the Marshals - a more universal FED PD force ....

crazy that the Smithsonian has an armory and trains for what? - EPA has their own heavily armed security staff - USPS has one HUGE policing force - one thing to have investigators for fraud & theft - why a SWAT assault force of their own?

I don't see any need for such an entity .. a solution to a problem that doesn't exist unless their purpose is to police existing law enforcement entities. Feds enjoy the reputation of creating conditions to give them the opportunity to justify their existence.

I look at it this way. The money that doge found has been allocated and thus spent In theory. So for this go round give every taxpayer a refund. But for the future apply things to pay down the deficit

it may be that trump is trying to give the economy a "bump" by putting more money in peoples hands
or
possibly it is a political move to make people a little happier before the next election cycle
who knows
