CHAT Do You Procrastinate?

Ya know that one task that you dread doing, so you put it off, put it off, and put it off? Then, when you finally buckle down to it, it takes FIFTEEN MINUTES. Yeah, that is me, the procrastinator. I finally got all my papers together for the tax accountant, and TURNED THEM IN!
Yay me?
(Just on my taxes!)

Are you sure about that?
Pure manipulators. You've heard the phrase "Lead, follow, or get out of the way?" They are always in the way.

(I was making a joke... not funny if I have to explain it... But I would say I agree with you. PA People piss me off, too.)

Thought maybe you were leading, but hard to flush out the INTJ's here with one post..;)

Really...I worked with a master procrastinator for 35 years. I know the animal very well. Know how to deal with them, too. But they still make my blood boil at times.

Neither here nor there.

Meh, I'm a procrastinator, but am NOT passive aggressive. Right now I'm procrastinating drawing some lilacs with pastels. Pastels are expensive, the good ones are anyway, so yeah I'm dragging my feet on "what if I screw it up?" That's anything but passive aggressive.

Yeah, I don't think you're qualified to make that judgement call, regardless of the fact that you worked with a narcissist for 35 years. And yes the majority of the people who are passive aggressive are actually narcissists.

And you deal with them the same way, too. Let them know it won't work with you and that it will blow up in their faces if they try it. :D

It's half and half.

There are some tasks I do promptly and others I put off. I'm not a procrastinator by nature, but I've
learned that some tasks, especially tasks for one of my paying jobs, are often better left undone as long as possible because the directions will change at the last minute.

I'm getting better about putting my health first. My daily walk comes before some of my other obligations, for
example.

It depends. By nature, I'm one who sees a task that needs doing, and I want it done right then. On the other hand, if I'm not feeling well, I will put things off that need doing, until I feel better, especially those things that are time consuming. I hate it when that happens, though.

NO
and I have always believed that it is important to "eat your frogs first" - to do your most difficult tasks FIRST thing in the morning

Raggedyann tells me constantly that life is a "walk don't run" endeavor.
she takes a nap every day; I can't even begin to think about doing that - I just can't sleep during the day
I admire the ease at which she functions; I have yet to be able to get off the "appointment mindset"
I am fully aware that she's light years ahead of me - I'm trying to catch up
