Critics Rage over Trump's Remarks About George Floyd: 'Piece of Sh*t'

President Trump’s critics raged on Friday because, during an address at the White House about the surprising jobs numbers, he expressed hope that George Floyd was “looking down right now and saying this is a great thing that’s happening for our country,” specifying that it is “a great day for him; it’s a great day for everybody” in “terms of equality.”

“Equal justice under the law must mean that every American receives equal treatment in every encounter with law enforcement, regardless of race, color, gender, or creed,” Trump said during Friday’s remarks. “They have to receive fair treatment from law enforcement.”

“We all saw what happened last week. We can’t let that happen,” he continued, referencing Floyd’s death.

“Hopefully, George is looking down right now and saying this is a great thing that’s happening for our country,” he continued. “This is a great day for him, it’s a great day for everybody. This is a great day for everybody. This is a great, great day in terms of equality.”

Several Trump critics were seized with shock as many deciphered the remark as the president using Floyd to tout the positive jobs numbers report, despite the fact that he specifically said it was a “great day … in terms of equality,” specifically.

“Trump imagining George Floyd’s reaction to the jobs numbers: ‘Hopefully George is looking down right now and saying this is a great thing that’s happening for our country. This is a great day for him, it’s a great day for everybody,” Politico reporter Adam Cancryn assessed:

“‘This is a great day for him,'” former Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) said. “Let that sink in”:

“‘This is a great day for him,’ the president said of the posthumous view of a man who was killed by a white officer who kept his knee on the man’s neck,” New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman remarked:

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) demanded of Trump, “Keep George Floyd’s name out of your mouth until you can say Black Lives Matter,” while MSNBC’s Chris Hayes added, “He really pointed up to the sky and said today’s jobs report marks great day for a dead man killed by police”:

“George Floyd is looking down from heaven and saying this is a great day??? GIVE ME A ****ING BREAK!” left-wing director and prolific Trump critic Rob Reiner tweeted:

Granted it sets a bad precedent when cops act as prosecutor, judge, and jury and treat passing a counterfeit $20 as a capital crime.

However, bumbling and corrupt as the cops may have been in this case, they did the black community a favor by helping to off that deadly drug pushing 6-time loser. Good riddance!

I hate to break to the President but I'm guessing that old George is looking up not down. While the actions of the cop appear to be unjustified and criminal lets not forget that the reason this happened was because he was resisting arrest. He wasn't just pick at random off the street and beaten. Had he fought this in the court instead of on the street he'd be alive today. (unless he ODed)

The first time Trump says something and the evil left does not react with outrage, shock, mocking, denigration or any other negative response is the day flying-monkeys issue forth from my anus.

Floyd was a liability to society but should have been handled in an entirely different manner so that even if he was going to expire from health/drugs in his system that the cop's actions could not be correlated as strongly to that death as it appears on that video.

The visual of him on the ground with the cop on him and then expiring all caught on a cell phone will never leave the consciousness of Blacks here and around the world................regardless of how dysfunctional of a thug he was it doesn't matter to Blacks.........they saw what they wanted to see and its not going to change how they feel.

No amount of White apologies......or their business donations...... their bowing or sports worship....will ever change the mind of most Blacks..........from now on its us or them as to where this country ends up.

Now...........I don't have a clue about Black feelings...............so how can I boldly state the above??

Because its not me.......I heard all that over the last few nights listen online to Black talk radio community organizer guests and their call in audience.

I would not be surprised if the biggest threat Floyd posed was to the cop who kneeled him to death, because of information Floyd had about what went on at the alphabet agency front bar where they worked security together. Things like counterfeit money rings etc. YMMV of course.
