CORONA Covid finally hit me

Well, did the a test kit and it shows positive for covid. Started with a sore throat, then progressed to congestion, coughing, tiredness. Essentially, it feels no worse than a summer cold. I've had the flu much worse than this. One night I had the sweats. Just drenched and almost got up to change clothes. Felt feverish two nights but didn't show a fever when I took the temperature. I broke my record of not having it. All during covid days, I never got it. I wondered if I was immune to it. My doctor did some testing and didn't think I was...but he took antibodies testing and I didn't have any. 4 days later feeling decent. I was able to go out and tend the garden a bit. Still tired.

I am reading covid is ramping up around...especially Memphis. Flu season isn't really going now. Neither is cold season. A "cold" isn't reason to have much concern unless one is severely challenged in health. I have family coming in later this week from Memphis. Just praying my family is healthy here from me and family visiting. We haven't seen them in years and are looking forward to the visit.

Follow the protocols:

Your family should put OFF the visit until you are clear. You ARE contagious and they WILL catch it. We're pretty sure that's how our family caught it when we visited Timothy last July. He didn't get sick until after we left at the end of the week, and about a week after that we all gradually came down with it.

You are right. I'm isolating from my own family. I'll steer clear of them all in the bedroom. Officially, the policy at work is to isolate for 7 days.

I feel for you, I had a runny nose on Thursday and Friday, did a self test Saturday and I’m positive for Covid. Oh yeah, I also turned 64 on Friday so happy birthday to me yay. I hope you get over it soon.

It is starting to make the rounds again, nowhere near as severe it was the first time. And no I don’t see any reason for lockdowns.

And if the "test kit" had come back negative, what would you be doing differently?

And you believe the "test kit" results why? As you say, you're "reading" that the Coof is ramping up. It's obvious that the current Junta in the White House wants to pretend that it's back so they can leverage the fear it generates to their advantage. Summer colds are a thing. Who's to say that any of those news reports, or any test results, are telling the truth?

"Healthy skepticism" should be your watchword.

Nothing different. I'm a scientist. I know a kit might provide a false positive. That's why I didn't rely on just one test/brand. I've been working on corona since before you ever heard of the word "covid".

Science does not back up the covid test kits as being legit. That is according to at least one of the guys who invented the method that is being used in those test kits(PCR). The deep state gains a lot of control by having most every cold and flu virus test positive for covid. I am pretty sure that the only real way to identify a virus is in a lab, and by using an electron microscope to actually look at the virus structure. Lets not get fooled again lest we loose our freedom again.

PCR is half my life.

... I've been working on corona since before you ever heard of the word "covid".

"Corona" is a virus family, one which includes the *vast* majority of illnesses we refer to as "the common cold"; it does not refer solely to the one virus that appears to have come out of China a couple of years ago...

Precision

Also, I heard about the "China virus" long before the .gov shills started using "COVID" to describe it. If you were working on the China virus much before the fall of 2019, I think there might be a few folks here on the board who are going to have some questions for you...

May you recover completely and have a great rest of the summer.
Do you know how long the antibodies are in a person after the recover from the C19 virus and its’ variants?
Thank you.
Thank you so much! Could be up to a year. There are many variants, though. Could be 8 or 9 months for some and 14 months for others. Everyone's immune system works differently. They all still produce immunoglobulins in response to a viral load. For some, it's killer depending on their health. My sister died from covid. In reality, she had cancer and chemo. Her system was already compromised. In the end, covid did her in. It could have been a flu that did it, though.

I also just tested positive for covid tonight. I got stuck on an airport tarmac waiting for a hurricane feeder band to pass us by, lightening and all that. I think that is how I got mine. My wife's test came back negative. She feeling fine, I'm feeling lousy.

Corona has been around a LONG time. Just don't get confused on corona and covid-19.

You keep using "corona" as if it's a singular thing. Unless you're talking about the beer, you're not using that word correctly.

We have abut 8 cases at the rehab facility I volunteer for. We are 2 hours from Memphis.

Common cold symptom, no fevers that I am aware of. I am beginning to wonder if this is a cold going around and since colds are also corona viruses then I am wondering if it impossible that the common cold will show a positive.

Covid is a corona (cold) virus family.

Memphis seems a hot spot now. Radiating out from there based on reports I read from the USDA and CDC. I didn't have a fever but I heard co-workers say they had such. Our travel budgets opened up again about a month back. Sickness spread fast in the company. Still, even older test kits can detect omicron and variants.

Are you sure about that?

This! OMG. After all we've been thru, and people want to feed the beast AGAIN?

I get sniffles every so often. I'm not going to ram some long-ass stick up my nose so I "know" I'm sick. Holy shit.

I get that. For me, I can't relate because I want to know. I do blood tests every 6 months or so with my integrative medical doctor. I have him run a lot of vials. Mainly because I want to know. However, he also wants to know because he wants to see how my system is reacting, or what he needs to tweak. For instance, he always runs a CMV panel. It's a good indicator of active infection. Sure, most have it, but it's a good indicator for potential treatment plans based on how active it is at the time. I'll have him run candida, too.
