I actually watched a press briefing this morning from the Trump admin, I was more than happy to see/hear a no BS press briefing that was chocked full of straightforward truthful information, the beginning of a little sunshine in an otherwise 8 years of darkness, lies, and deception.

I'm just wondering if TPTB will pop a crisis of one sort or another this weekend in order to embarrass Trump and his new administration. Doesn't even have to be domestic but international in scope. Trump has no experience in government, doesn't have his cabinet choices in place and it would be the most ideal time for a crisis. Then the actors could say how over his head Trump is and how unprepared he is to be in charge. Could be a double edged sword though as Trump could shine through it and demonstrate how ready he really is to govern. Will feel a lot better a week from now than I do today.

Oh, a DC tidbit for you. Today around 11am I was in old town Alexandria, VA, just south of National airport. I had an appointment in a building right on the water's edge. As I pull into the parking lot, I see a Marine EH-101 (the Merlin VIP chopper that 2 were bought for VIP duties and Obama cancelled the rest of the order) and a UH-1Y Sea Cobra gunship chopper boogie-ing at 30 feet above the water heading south with the throttles firewalled. EH-101 was low and fast, the Cobra was all over it, jinking up and down, back and forth running cover for the EH 101. Obama used the Osprey and a MDW Blackhawk to get around-maybe Trump is going to swap over to the new Merlin? Don't know, but it was unusual to see this especially in that area. They were in the approach pattern for National Airport, and that's class A airspace all the way to the deck in that area.

Alfaman, jets have been scrambling overhead for a few days, I could hear them dive bombing and zipping around over and into the snowstorm 2 days ago, then again yesterday and today just above. They were flying lower than I've heard them in decades, so they may be polishing the dust off the paint for tomorrow should their services be needed.
