Conn. high school girls file lawsuit arguing that allowing transgender athletes to compete is sex discrimination
By Danielle Wallace | Fox News
Three female high school athletes in Connecticut, along with their families, filed a federal lawsuit Thursday to prevent transgender athletes from competing in girls track and field meets, arguing that biologically male athletes have a physical advantage.

Selina Soule, a senior at Glastonbury High School; Chelsea Mitchell, a senior at Canton High School; and Alanna Smith, a sophomore at Danbury High School, announced the lawsuit in a press conference on the steps of the state capitol in Hartford Thursday, the Washington Postreported.
“Our dream is not to come in second or third place, but to win, fair and square,” Mitchell said. “All we’re asking for is a fair chance.”
The three are arguing that competing against biologically male athletes has denied them the chance to win medals and achieve scholarship opportunities.
Alliance Defending Freedom, an American conservative Christian nonprofit, is representing the girls in the federal lawsuit, months after initially filing a related Title IX complaint with the U.S. Department of Education. It remains under investigation by the DOE's Office for Civil Rights.

“Girls deserve to compete on a level playing field. Forcing them to compete against boys isn’t fair, shatters their dreams, and destroys their athletic opportunities,” Alliance Defending Freedom attorney Christiana Holcomb said in a statement. “Having separate boys’ and girls’ sports has always been based on biological differences, not what people believe about their gender, because those differences matter for fair competition. And forcing girls to be spectators in their own sports is completely at odds with Title IX, a federal law designed to create equal opportunities for women in education and athletics.”
The most recent lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court in Connecticut Thursday argues that a new policy under the Connecticut Association of Schools and Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference, which allows high school athletes in competitions that align with their gender identify, poses a concrete threat to Title IX’s protections against sex-based discrimination.
“Inescapable biological facts of the human species [are] not stereotypes, ‘social constructs,’ or relics of past discrimination,” it says.
“In track-and-field events that do not use equipment, the physiological differences between males and females after puberty are stark in the record books,” the complaint adds. “No one doubts that top male and female high school athletes are equally committed to excelling in their sport, and train equally hard. Yet boys and men consistently run faster and jump higher and farther than girls and women.”
All three plaintiffs have competed with, and almost always placed behind, two transgender sprinters, Terry Miller and Andraya Yearwood. Mitchell finished third in the 2019 state championship in the girls 55-meter indoor track competition behind Miller and Yearwood. The two Connecticut high school seniors, who were born biologically male but identify as female, have won 15 girls state indoor or outdoor championship races combined since 2017, the lawsuit said.
Yearwood, a senior at Cromwell High School, and Miller, a senior at Bloomfield High School, issued statements vehemently defending their right to run in girls events in response to the filing Thursday.
“I have faced discrimination in every aspect of my life and I no longer want to remain silent,” Miller said. “I am a girl and I am a runner. I participate in athletics just like my peers to excel, find community, and meaning in my life. It is both unfair and painful that my victories have to be attacked and my hard work ignored.”
Yearwood said she also has been hurt by the efforts to “tear down my successes.”

“I will never stop being me!” she said in her statement. “I will never stop running! I hope that the next generation of trans youth doesn’t have to fight the fights that I have. I hope they can be celebrated when they succeed not demonized. For the next generation, I run for you!”
The American Civil Liberties Union sought to intervene on Miller and Yearwood’s behalf, writing on Twitter that “this lawsuit is clearly about trans students, yet those students have no voice in the lawsuit. This is wrong. We at the ACLU will be seeking to intervene in this lawsuit as a new party, to give trans students a voice.”
The Connecticut Association of Schools and Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference, as well as the boards of education in Bloomfield, Cromwell, Glastonbury, Canton and Danbury are named as defendants in the case.

‘Women’s Rights’ Groups Silent on Female Athletes Seeking to Preserve Women’s Sports
Dr. Susan Berry
Some might think organizations focused on “women’s rights” or labeled “feminist” would be eager to show support for female athletes in a lawsuit challenging a policy that allows biological males to compete against women, giving them an unfair advantage.
However, neither Planned Parenthood nor the National Organization for Women (NOW) responded to Breitbart News’s attempts to reach out to them for comment on the plight of three female high school runners who have now filed a federal lawsuit that aims to safeguard fairness in women’s sports.

With the assistance of Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), three high school girls in Connecticut filed the lawsuit Wednesday against the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC), which changed its policies to allow male athletes who claim to be female to compete as girls.
“Girls deserve to compete on a level playing field,” said ADF Legal Counsel Christiana Holcomb in a statement. “Forcing them to compete against boys isn’t fair, shatters their dreams, and destroys their athletic opportunities.”
ADF filed the lawsuit on behalf of Selina Soule, Alanna Smith, and Chelsea Mitchell who have been impacted by the policy – though they are not the only young women affected by it.
As ADF noted, two biological male athletes “have taken 15 state championship titles that previously belonged to nine different girls.”
“And they have taken 17 individual meet records that previously belonged to 13 different girls,” the legal non-profit added.
Holcomb said:
Having separate boys’ and girls’ sports has always been based on biological differences, not what people believe about their gender, because those differences matter for fair competition. And forcing girls to be spectators in their own sports is completely at odds with Title IX, a federal law designed to create equal opportunities for women in education and athletics. Connecticut’s policy violates that law and reverses nearly 50 years of advances for women.
Leftwing groups promoting transgender rights groups have spread the false narrative that there is no scientific evidence suggesting biological male athletes have an unfair advantage over biological female athletes.
As Breitbart News reported, however, a recent study conducted by the Karolinska Institute and Linkoping University in Sweden found biological males — claiming to be transgender women — who were administered a full year of hormone therapy, still maintained muscle mass and strength advantages over biological women.
“Despite the robust increases in muscle mass and strength in TM, the TW were still stronger and had more muscle mass following 12 months of treatment,” the researchers observed. “These findings add new knowledge that could be relevant when evaluating transwomen’s eligibility to compete in the women’s category of athletic competitions.
“Our results indicate that after 12 months of hormonal therapy, a transwoman will still likely have performance benefits over a cis-woman [biological woman],” they concluded.
In another study published at the British Medical Journal (BMJ) and released in July, three professors — two in bioethics and one in physiology — concluded that male athletes who claim to be female hold an “intolerable” advantage over biological female athletes.
The study was conducted after the International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced it would allow “transgender women” to compete against biological females if their testosterone is below 10 nanomole/liter (nmol/L). However, even that level is “significantly higher” than that of biological females, the authors said.
They cited research demonstrating that “healthy young men did not lose significant muscle mass (or power) when their circulating testosterone levels were reduced” for 20 weeks to meet the IOC’s guidelines.
The researchers also noted that “indirect effects of testosterone will not be altered by hormone therapy.”
“For example, hormone therapy will not alter bone structure, lung volume or heart size of the transwoman athlete, especially if she transitions postpuberty, so natural advantages including joint articulation, stroke volume and maximal oxygen uptake will be maintained,” the authors explained.
“We conclude that the advantage to transwomen afforded by the IOC guidelines is an intolerable unfairness,” stated the professors.
When Planned Parenthood and NOW were asked – both in November 2019 and Wednesday – about whether they would support the female athletes since there are now two studies showing biological men treated with hormones still have an unfair advantage over women athletes, Breitbart News received no response.
Both organizations claim to advocate for “women’s rights,” but actually now focus primarily on “abortion rights” and appear to place gender identity above biological sex.
“When we ratify the Equal Rights Amendment we are letting our communities know, our women know — our mothers our daughters, our sisters, our friends — that we believe they deserve to be treated justly and be protected under the law.” – NOW VP @ChrisFNunesERA supporters rally on Utah’s Capitol Hill
— National NOW (@NationalNOW) January 28, 2020
On its website, NOW states it is “committed to fighting discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity in all areas, including employment, housing, public accommodations, health services, child custody and military policies.”
The organization adds:
NOW is committed to educational efforts that combat the adverse effects of homophobia, promote positive images in the media and ultimately ensure civil rights protection for all. NOW asserts the right of LGBTQIA individuals to live their lives with dignity and security, and marriage equality for all.
According to Influence Watch, a project of Capital Research Center that seeks to provide “fact-based, accurate descriptions of all of the various influencers of public policy issues,” NOW “was formed to push for women’s legal and economic equality.”
However, the watchdog group says the scope of NOW’s agenda “has widened significantly to encompass all aspects of the left-of-center platform including tax and spend deficit spending to expand social programs, government funded handouts, unfettered abortions, government-controlled single-payer healthcare, and an unceasing litany of LGBT interest issues.”
Your access to abortion, or any other constitutional right, should not depend on your zip code. Congress must pass the Women’s Health Protection Act. #ActForWomenpic.twitter.com/MK8KxsIUQM
— Planned Parenthood Action (@PPact) February 12, 2020
When Planned Parenthood is not advocating for abortion – its major profit maker – it is condemning the Trump administration for “targeting LGBTQ rights” in its efforts “to define gender as being binary, unchangeable, and determined by one’s genitals at birth — regardless of how people identify.”

This really burns my cookies! If you have a "Y" chromosome you are male. Period. If you have no "Y" chromosome, you are most likely the ONLY other alternative...female. Males should never, ever be competing against females in sporting events. The playing field will never, ever be fair. Ain't it funny how you always see those born with a "Y" chromosome wanting to compete against those without a "Y" in individual sports? Am I right in assuming they just can't hack it in the male events but still want a bit of a spotlight? I have yet to see someone without the "Y' wanting to compete against those with a "Y" unless it's a team sport.

Just because you "identify" as something you are not, doesn't make it so. I identify as a tall, thin model with high cheekbones. It doesn't make it true. For the rest of us to go along with that is just feeding into a fantasy.

Nope, nowhere good enough. The bone mass, musculature, etc., built up over 15-30 years of testosterone deluge doesn't get appreciably attrited by even that. So, some 3rd-rate male athlete who doesn't much care about being functional WRT sex may well decide that the fairly major bucks some female athletes score could be worth that sacrifice. Look up Renee Richards as an early example.

Howdy, Folks!

First, we need DNA checks to determine who is, and who isn't, a chick or a dude.

This is an interesting situation:

TL;DR - For all intents and purposes, these people develop into what most folks would consider very feminine-looking women (infertility is a common issue) - but according to their DNA, they are not.

How would you treat these people?

The amazing thing about that picture is there are not one but two guys in that race...

Seems that once one loser started breaking the women's record, another thought, "Gee... What a great idea!" And, he decided to be a girl, too.

These asswipes are barely good enough to make it on the boy's teams but once they decide to become girls they are record breakers...

It is so blatant.

One of them doesn't even bother to shave... ( The other male is the one in red who won the race. He didn't decide to be a girl until Mr. Facial hair was getting all the publicity... )

One standard for all. Not every field of endeavor is suited to every person.

I still want to see an end to sex segregation in athletics by governmental entities and by custom in this country. Like racial segregation in it, let only private entities do it; they can do it all they want.

This is part of the road back to sanity in sex roles in this country. I want to see people have to show a draft registration card to register to vote, as long as there is draft law on the books. (I also want to see millions of family wage jobs reserved for married men, and nonlowerclass women generally quitting jobs once married, too, but that's no news here.)

How Gender Fluidity Wrecks Both Feminism And Transgenderism
First transgenderism destroyed the meaning of womanhood. Now, gender-fluidity and non-binary have destroyed the meaning of transgender.

Georgi Boorman

By Georgi Boorman
DECEMBER 31, 2019

"Once-celebrated author J.K. Rowling has been mobbed online for recognizing that womanhood is determined by biological sex, not feelings, tweeting support for a British feminist who lost her job over the issue.
Vox, the “explainer” site, cannot fathom how biology comes into play when determining who is and isn’t a woman. Its article went so far as to say Rowling’s tweet in support of Maya Forstater was “transphobic,” and that Rowling “just ruined Harry Potter.” Other social media accounts label her and anyone who believes in the reality of biological sex with the derogatory term TERFs (trans-exclusionary radical feminists)

Progressives claim to encourage you to “live your truth.” But there are some truths you just can’t live, you see. Forstater lost her job at a think tank because she pointed out that a male does not deserve to be given awards meant for females, and for numerous comments supporting the idea that biology determines one’s sexual identity, not feelings.

Forstater’s contract with her employer was not renewed because of her beliefs about the biological reality of sex, so she sued under the Equality Act, saying she was unfairly discriminated against for her feminism.

But in order for Forstater’s understanding to be protected as a “philosophical belief” under section 10 of the Equality Act 2010, it must adhere to five requirements set forth by a previous court decision. One reads: “it must be worthy of respect in a democratic society, not be incompatible with human dignity and not conflict with the fundamental rights of others.”

Forstater ran afoul of this extremely subjective requirement and lost her judgment. The requirement demonstrates that virtually the only thing one can be sure of in this brave new world is the primacy of feelings over any other consideration, including dignity and the right to think differently than some in the government would prefer.

Trans Ideology Versus Women’s Dignity

Forstater criticized Phillip “Pippa” Bunce for receiving an award meant for women. The director of Credit Suisse, who spends half his time “expressing” the persona of Pippa by wearing makeup, a wig, and dresses, was included in The Financial Times HERoes Champions of Women in Business list, although there is an equivalent list for men.

According to the employment tribunal, Forstater’s criticism of men assuming the roles and placements of women, who have fought since time immemorial for their rights and accomplishments to be recognized, violates “human dignity.” This is where we see what the gender revolutionaries really think of women.

Human dignity? What of Forstater’s human dignity, as a woman? Is it not demeaning and insulting to women for a married father of two to show up to work in fishnets and lace dresses and claim this is a genuine expression of womanhood? And if it isn’t a genuine expression of what he thinks is an aspect of his identity, what is it? A farce? Even worse. Is it not a rejection of the dignity of biological womanhood to accept an award meant for female executives?

Biological females who recognize that they are such (“cisgender,” in the gender parlance) aren’t the only ones who feel demeaned. Individuals who have had their bodies surgically altered to make them appear more feminine or masculine, and been living as the opposite sex for a long time, were furious that Bunce received an award.

According to The Sun, trans broadcaster India Willoughby lamented the decision, saying “Transgender has become totally meaningless.” And why shouldn’t Willoughby think so? “Pips” has made a mockery of the very idea of gender transition, of the idea that an insufferable feeling of being in the “wrong body” can be treated by trying to imitate the opposite sex. Neither drag queen nor truly transgender, he flips from Phillip to Pippa as quickly as he can change in and out of a wig and high heels.

If Thinking Makes It So, Transgenderism Is Meaningless

Yet even transgender people complain of being discriminated against because their efforts at femininity aren’t convincing enough to make people feel comfortable, particularly with transgender bathrooms. So what gives?

No sweeping legal protections of “human dignity” will hold this mess together. “Gender-fluidity” and transgenderism can’t co-exist, even though the latter was bound to lead to the former. If all it takes to diagnose oneself as transgender is how you feel, then how Bruce/Pippa feels is just as valid, right? The only difference is that one depends on the binary and the other claims to reject it.

There’s no board that certifies you as legitimately transgender. To be protected from discrimination as the Equality Act defines it, you don’t have to live as the opposite sex for a certain number of years or get certain surgeries, all you have to do is be convinced that you want to attempt to live as if you were the opposite sex.

Willoughby is right. If all you need to be considered transgender is a firm declaration that you are so, and to make some effort at “dressing the part,” then of course the term is meaningless.

If Gender Fluidity Exists, It Applies to Everyone

Now is a good time for trans individuals to think the primacy of feelings through to its logical conclusion: to be consistent with the new gendering, you have to admit that we all are gender-fluid, and that our sexes are indeed merely “assigned” at birth instead of observed.

How ironic. First the meaning of womanhood is erased by transgenderism through its recategorization of biological women to “cisgender,” and now the meaning of transgenderism is being undone by the concept of gender fluidity. Well, what should you expect when you ditch the concept of biological sex to begin with—when you accept there is such a thing as “gender,” as distinct from biological sex? This yanks out the tent stakes in a windstorm.

It appearssola feels is rapidly gaining ground: the doctrine that feelings have primacy over objective and spiritual truth. It’s captivated the language—male, female, manhood, womanhood, feminine, masculine—and now it is armed with everything it needs to prosecute WrongThink.

Forstater’s judgment reads, “The specific belief that the Claimant holds as determined in the reasons, is not a philosophical belief protected by the Equality Act 2010.” You are not entitled to believe certain things anymore. Not only is there no freedom of speech (even though Forstater said she was willing to use people’s preferred pronouns), there’s no freedom of thought. Again, ironic, because the premise of gender expression is, “I think, therefore I am.”

The Equality Act? Please. Legislators have made laws protecting certain feelings and beliefs over others. As I’ve written before, trans rights are coercive rights. They exist only by violating the rights of others. There is no equality to be gained by forcing other people to do your bidding.

First transgenderism destroyed the meaning of womanhood. Now, gender-fluidity and non-binary have destroyed the meaning of transgender. And the whole chaotic, destructive process is based on feelings over concrete, objective truth. Tent, meet windstorm."

Report: Transgenders 58% more likely to commit murder than be murdered
WND
Justifications include claims of victims' 'transphobia'

By Staff
December 30, 2019

"A new report documents how a transsexual in Colorado and a partner shot nine students at their school, then later claimed the victims deserved it for their "transphobia."

In Maine, a transgender defended the murder of two parents because they failed to "accept" the the "transition."

And in Maryland, a transgender who also was a mass shooter killed three before using the gun for suicide.

TRENDING: Survey confirms previous research: Left-wingers more prone to mental illness

Such violence isn't unusual, according to a report by the website National Justice.

The site said "individuals identifying as transgender are not only less likely to be victims of murder than biological women (and far less than men), their small population is well represented among murderers, serial killers and pedophiles."

"The Human Rights Campaign, which meticulously tracks transgender deaths across the country, is conspicuously not tracking them when they commit crimes. But in the U.K., analysts found that during the period of 2007-2017, transsexuals were 58% more likely to commit a murder than be murdered," the report said.

Those numbers aren't available for the U.S., but a number of individual cases spotlighted the claims "they are justified in killing others due to bigotry," the report said.

They include the incidents in Colorado, Maine and Maryland.

In California, a Berkeley transgender activist was recently granted a mere insanity plea for stabbing two women, one to death.

And in Texas, a transgender beat a baby girl to death and is facing the death penalty.

Many times reports omit the "gender identity," National Justice said.

"Simple math shows that transgenders are less likely to be murdered than normal people," it continued. "According to FBI crime statistics, Americans are victims of homicide at a rate of about 5 per 100,000. For men, the number is 6.6 per 100,000 and for women, 1.8. According to gay activist groups, 24 transgenders have been killed in 2019 out of a population of 1.4 million , making their homicide rate 1.7 out of 100,000 - less likely to be killed than the average woman."

The report credited specialized services for transgenders with providing a "well-being above everyone else."

"The fact that a man is six times less likely to be killed if he takes female hormones and wears women's clothing is proof positive that it's normal people who are in dire need of advocacy," the report said."
