Sounds like a real contradiction to say they support the Constitution and will also support the installation of a fraudulently elected president...

I was wondering about that myself. Their wording is a bit off or they need to re-read the Constitution. For the military to follow civilian orders is a contradiction to them adhering to the Constitution.

Civilian control of the US military has been standing doctrine ever since when. The President is not called the COMMANDER IN CHIEF for nothing, folks.

Did EVERYONE sleep through civics class??? Go write the following on the blackboard ten times :D
===========================

Why There Is Civilian Control of the Military and When That Tradition Began - ABC News (go.com)

/snip/

It Is in the Constitution
The concept of civilian control of the military was written by the Founding Fathers into the Constitution emerging from the colonial reality of citizen-soldiers.

Reflecting the balance of power established by the Constitution, the president was made commander in chief of the military and Congress was given the authority to declare war and fund the military.

Article II, Section 2 of the Constitution states, "The President shall be the Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States when called into the actual Service of the United States."

The roles of Congress outlined in Article I, Section 8 include, "To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water; To raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of Money to that Use shall be for a longer Term than two Years; To provide and maintain a Navy."

When Was Civilian Control Required?
With the president as commander in chief, the day-to-day management of the nation's military was left to the secretary of war. With very few exceptions, civilians held the post of secretary of war, reflecting the constitutional authority given to the executive branch of government over the military.

But it was the National Security Act of 1947 that replaced the War Department with the Defense Department that also made it a requirement that only civilians could lead the department.

That legislation also created the secretaries of the Army, Navy and Air Force, which, through additional legislation, also became civilian-only positions.

Seventeen of the 24 men who have served as defense secretary have had some kind of military service. Since most of their service years occurred during their youth, the seven-year gap requirement between military and civilian life did not come into play.

Only George Marshall's nomination in 1950 has required a congressional waiver similar to the one that Mattis will require to become defense secretary./

I meant it as in I am not worthy to be in his house and would be fortunate indeed to come in.

As term winds down, Trump shifts Pentagon line of succession

WASHINGTON — U.S. President Donald Trump issued an executive order Thursday changing the line of succession at the Pentagon, clarifying who would take charge of the Defense Department in case of an emergency.
The move is in line with actions taken by previous presidents, who have in the past moved roles up and down the line of succession depending on the individual filling the job.

The order of succession lays out who takes over when a defense secretary is removed or resigns. It is not representative of the chain of command, but does reflect who the president would prefer to take over in case of a departmental emergency that results in the loss of the top of the command structure.

The switch comes amid a broader series of changes at the Pentagon — including alterations at the Defense Business Board and the Defense Policy Board — that the incoming Biden transition team may look to quickly revert once it takes office.
The new order is as follows:

  • Deputy defense secretary
  • Secretaries of the Army, Navy and Air Force, in order of appointment
  • Undersecretary of defense for policy
  • Undersecretary of defense for intelligence and security
  • Chief management officer
  • Undersecretary of defense for acquisition and sustainment
  • Undersecretary of defense for research and engineering
  • Undersecretary of defense (comptroller)
  • Undersecretary of defense for personnel and readiness
  • Deputy undersecretary of defense for policy
  • Deputy undersecretary of defense for intelligence and security
  • Deputy undersecretary of defense for acquisition and sustainment
  • Deputy undersecretary of defense for research and engineering
  • Deputy undersecretary of defense (comptroller)
  • Deputy undersecretary of defense for personnel and readiness
  • A group consisting of the general counsel of the Defense Department, assistant secretaries of defense, director of cost assessment and program evaluation, director of operational test and evaluation, and chief information officer of the Defense Department, in order of appointment
  • Undersecretaries of the military departments, in order of appointment
  • Assistant secretaries of the military departments and general counsels of the military departments, in order of appointment.
The executive order replaces a similar executive order issued by President Barack Obama in March 2010, which in turn replaced one signed by President George W. Bush in December 2005, which in turn replaced one from President Bill Clinton in April 1996.
“This is something every administration in modern times undertakes, but the world would not have stopped rotating had POTUS forgotten to change this on his way out the door,” said Mackenzie Eaglen of the American Enterprise Institute. “The more interesting question to me is why Obama did it so soon after taking office, and Trump at the very last minute.”

the military will ensure Joe is inaugurated

I am so sure that Hillary probably, once again, screamed "It was supposed to be MY TURN" again
because you know they intended to replace Biden before the inauguration

After watching the first five agonizing minutes of GMA this morning I am becoming more convinced. The rhetoric was pointing in that direction. How else is he going to shut the country down for COVID, how else is he going to guard against the 75 million violent extremist Trump supporters?

a statement like this has never been required before.
there has never been a question that the Military would behave in a certain manner.

However, with the question to the Joint Chiefs about codes, calls for the 25th, calls for impeachment, censure
and the ongoing hints from "who knows where really" about martial law and indictments and shenanigans,
I expect someone thought it was a good idea to state the matter clearly
Statements aren't required by liars and those that disregard the oath they take...Welcome to the "new normal" Komrade...

I am beginning to think that President Trump will not declare Martial Law. Biden will.

And by not doing it himself, DJT left the way wide open for Bidden to act.

I hope SOMEONE ANYONE here is finally beginning to catch on to why I have been so bothered about this.....

I wonder if she again broke a $200,000.00 flat screen TV by hurling a $10,000.00 bottle of champagne at it as she supposedly did in Nov. 2016?

Biden has thousands of military in DC. He is in total control of all the oathbreakers and fools running all the various agencies like the FBI. Wray's testimony the other day sealed it. The people running Joe Biden are in charge, likely obama and other deep state agents.

I expect a nuke on State of the Union and then we go to either Jericho, or Lone Survivor mode. We have B-52's deploying to the Mideast tonight. Russia and Syria bombed the fuel tanks and pumping facilities we have been using to loot Syrian oil the last several years or so.

And we now officially hit $30 Trillion in debt with the passage of this stimulus farce.

Nope.

So tell me, who has the football these days?

My query up the ratline this week came back - sorry, no adults in the room. And THAT is why it matters. To me, anyway.

You KNOW I wrote DJT off well before now, right? If not, see #144 above.
